An embodiment of the present disclosure provides a display panel having a non-rectangular display region. The display panel includes a substrate, a pixel definition layer, a first organic material layer, and a second organic material layer. The pixel definition layer is disposed on the substrate, and defines a first pixel area and a second pixel area on the substrate. The first organic material layer is disposed in the first pixel area and has a first light-emitting region. The second organic material layer is disposed in the second pixel area and has a second light-emitting region. The first organic material layer and the second organic material layer have the same material and the same vertical projection area on the substrate, and the vertical projection area of the first light-emitting region on the substrate is smaller than the vertical projection area of the second light-emitting region on the substrate.

Display panel

A display panel has an irregular display area and includes a substrate, a first electrode layer, a first organic-material layer, and a second electrode layer. The first electrode layer is disposed on the substrate. The first organic-material layer is disposed on the first electrode layer, in which the first organic-material layer includes a first portion and a second portion which are connected to each other. The second electrode layer is disposed on the first electrode layer. The first organic-material layer is configured to produce electroluminescence phenomenon by a bias applied by the first and second electrode layers, and the first portion has brightness less than that of the second portion under the bias.

Display panel and method for manufacturing the same

An organic electroluminescence (EL) device is provided, including a transparent substrate and an array of pixels over the transparent substrate. The driving control apparatus comprises a system control circuit and a drive circuit. The system control circuit is adapted to detect an activation signal and determine an enabling period after the detection. The drive circuit is adapted to control the activation of the display array. The drive circuit comprises a plurality of scan lines and data lines. During the enabling period, each of the scan lines activates part of the pixel areas while each of the data lines transmit a voltage to the activated pixel area so that at least a part of the activated pixels corresponds to a predetermined luminance. The driving control method comprises steps for implementing the driving control apparatus.

Driving control apparatus and method for use with a display array

A control apparatus and a panel assembly are provided. The panel assembly comprises a panel device and a control apparatus. The panel device includes a plurality of organic light emitting diodes and a power system. The control apparatus is configured to control the panel device and includes a drive circuit and an interface. The drive circuit is electrically connected to the panel and is configured to retrieve a parameter of the panel device. The interface is configured to transmit a signal comprising the parameter to the power system so that the power system drives the organic light emitting diodes of the panel under a voltage level determined by the parameter.

A panel display device structure comprises a plurality of pixels and a modulation unit. Each of the pixels comprises a thin film transistor and a light generation device, and the thin film transistor connects to the light generation device. The modulation unit connects to the thin film transistor and makes a signal transformation curve of the pixel to vertically shift in order to adjust the brightness of the pixel by modulating external voltage signal relied on a voltage dividing way or a direct current voltage transfer circuit, so as to satisfy the demand of increasing shifting range of the signal transformation curve.

Panel display device with single adjustable resistor to tune the brightness of the pixel

A conductive connection such as a flexible printed circuit board (FPC) or flexible flat cable is disclosed. The conductive connection has a substrate and conductive wires provided on the substrate. After the conductive connection is cut to be put into application, ends of the wires extend out of an edge of the substrate due to the cutting. In accordance with the present invention, the substrate edge from which the wire ends extend out has protrusions provided. Accordingly, when the conductive connection is applied to a flat display of a mobile phone, for example, short circuit resulting from the wire ends extending out of the substrate edge improperly contacting metal portion of other phone parts is avoided.

A brightness adjustment circuit for an electroluminescent display is provided. The brightness adjustment circuit is electrically connected to an electroluminescent panel and a power supply. The brightness adjustment circuit provides a feedback voltage to the power supply. The power supply provides a working voltage to the electroluminescent panel in response to the feedback voltage. The brightness adjustment circuit includes a circuit module and a switch or a circuit module and a voltage supply unit. The feedback voltage is modulated by operating the switch in accordance with a control signal or by a control voltage provided by a voltage supply unit.

A double-sided organic electro-luminescent device. The device comprises a substrate having a first pixel region and a second pixel region adjacent thereto. First and second organic light-emitting diodes are disposed in the first and second pixel regions, respectively, in which the light-emitting direction of the first organic light-emitting diode is opposite that of the second organic light-emitting diode. First and second thin film transistors are disposed in the second pixel region, in which the first thin film transistor is electrically connected to the first organic light-emitting diode and the second thin film transistor is electrically connected to the second organic light-emitting diode.

Double-sided organic electro-luminescent device

An electroluminescent display device includes an active matrix organic light emitting diode (AMOLED). A pixel array is formed on a light transmissive substrate and electrically coupled to a common power transmission line and conductive material that substantially fills a channel formed between a cover and the substrate. The channel and the conductive may include a cross-sectional area of about 0.5 to 5 mm. The conductive material may be a gel, fluid, powder or conductive epoxy and assists the common power transmission line in transmitting power. The substantial cross-sectional area makes the common power transmission line resistant to burn out and is capable of carrying large currents such as needed for display devices having a length or width of 30 inches.

Light emitting display device

A display unit is provided. The display unit includes a light-emitting diode, a driving transistor, and a power supply system. The light-emitting diode comprises a cathode and an anode. The driving transistor comprises a source, a drain, and a gate, wherein the gate receives a first voltage, the drain is coupled to a second voltage via the light-emitting diode and the gate receives a third voltage. The power supply system is coupled to the drain of the driving transistor, providing the second voltage in response to the voltage of the drain of the driving transistor.

Display unit, array display and display panel utilizing the same and control method thereof

An electric apparatus having an OELD includes a DC-to-DC converter, an OELD and at least one executing unit. The DC-to-DC converter converts a first direct voltage into a second direct voltage. The OELD receives the first direct voltage. The executing unit receives the second direct voltage and thus executes a system function of the electric apparatus.

A display device comprising a display panel, a first voltage supply unit, a second voltage supply unit, and a detecting unit. The first voltage supply unit supplies a first voltage to the display panel. The second voltage supply unit supplies a second voltage to the display panel according to a control signal. An invention relates to an organic electroluminescent display. The organic electroluminescent display comprises a substrate, a bonding pad, and an FPC (Flexible Print Circuit). The substrate comprises a luminescent surface and a non-luminescent surface. An organic electroluminescent (EL) structure is disposed on the non-luminescent surface to provide the organic EL structure to electrically connect to an outer circuit. The FPC, disposed on the same side of the organic electroluminescent structure, comprises a junction portion and a main portion, in which the main portion connects to the junction portion and electrically connects to the outer circuit. The junction portion is adapted to connect to the bonding pad and the main portion is directly extended to the direction toward the organic electroluminescent structure.
