Connector and connector manufacturing method

A terminal to be connected to a front end part of a wire in an extending direction is provided with a terminal body for sandwiching the wire, and a slide member slidable with respect to the terminal body along the extending direction of the wire. The terminal body is formed by a worked metal plate material and includes a sandwiching portion for sandwiching the wire. The sandwiching portion includes a first holding protrusion formed by folding the metal plate material on a side edge intersecting the extending direction of the wire, projecting toward the wire and configured to contact the wire and a second holding protrusion formed to be located forward of the first holding protrusion in the extending direction of the wire by folding the metal plate material on a side edge along the extending direction of the wire, projecting toward the wire and configured to contact the wire.

Terminal and wire with terminal

A terminal to be connected to a front end part of a wire includes a terminal body and a slide portion. The terminal body includes a sandwiching portion for sandwiching the wire. The slide portion has a tubular shape to be externally fit to the terminal body and includes a pressurizing portion projecting inward from an inner surface of the slide portion. The slide portion is slidable with respect to the terminal body between a non-contact position where the pressurizing portion is not in contact with the sandwiching portion and a contact position forward of the non-contact position, the pressurizing portion being in contact with the sandwiching portion at the contact position. The slide portion has a lower wall, a first side wall extending upward from one side edge of the lower wall and a second sandwiching portion extending upward from the other side edge of the lower wall.

A terminal coupled to an end of an electric wire on a front side with respect to an extending direction in which the electric wire extends. The terminal includes a terminal body including a holding section holding the electric wire and a slider slidable relative to the terminal body in the extending direction. The slider includes a pressing portion that presses the holding section toward the electric wire. The terminal body is formed from a folded metal sheet. The holding section includes a holding protrusion that protrudes toward the electric wire and contacts the electric wire. The holding protrusion is formed from a folded metal sheet.

Terminal and terminal wire assembly

It is aimed to provide a connector and a connector mounting body capable of ensuring good workability at the time of manufacturing and connection reliability with a circuit board. A connector includes a connector housing and a flexible cable arranged in the connector housing and including conductive paths. A terminal to be coupled to a front end portion of an electric wire. The terminal includes a terminal body and a slider. The terminal body includes a holding section holding a core wire of the electric wire. The slider is movable in a front-rear direction between a first position and a second position that is on a front side with respect to the first position while the slider being fitted on a section of the terminal body including the holding section. The slider includes a pressing portion that presses the holding section toward the electric wire when the slider is at the second position. The slider includes a pressure receiving portion that is pushed from a rear side to move the slider from the first position to the second position. The slider includes a support portion that receives a force applied to the pressure receiving portion that is pushed.

Terminal and electric cable including terminal

A terminal-equipped wire is provided with a wire including a conductor, a terminal to be connected to the conductor, and a shell to be mounted on the terminal. The terminal includes a grip portion for sandwiching the conductor. The shell includes a pressing portion for pressing at least a part of the grip portion toward the conductor. The grip portion has a Sn—Ni alloy layer. The Sn—Ni alloy layer includes locally projecting protrusions. The protrusions bite into the conductor.

Terminal-equipped wire

A terminal includes a terminal body and a slider. The terminal body is formed by processing a metal sheet. The terminal body is coupled to a front end of an electric wire with respect to an extending direction in which the electric wire extends. The terminal body holds the electric wire. The slider is slidable in the extending direction relative to the terminal body. The terminal body includes connecting tabs that includes contact surfaces contactable with the electric wire. Each of the connecting tabs has a cantilever shape. The slider includes pressing portions that press the connecting tabs so that the connecting tabs deform and the contact surfaces contact the electric wire when the slider is slid. The connecting tabs include burrs that are produced during processing of the metal sheet. The burrs protrude from the contact surfaces toward the electric wire.

Terminal

A terminal-equipped electric wire includes an electric wire that includes a conductor, a terminal connected to the conductor, and a shell attached to the terminal. The conductor has a nominal cross-sectional area of 0.13 mmor less. The terminal includes a grip portion that pinches the conductor. The shell includes a pressing portion that presses at least a portion of the grip portion toward the conductor. At least one of the conductor and the grip portion includes a tin layer, and an oxide coating formed on the surface of the tin layer. An adhering portion formed of a portion of tin contained in the tin layer that passes through the oxide coating and pours out onto a surface of the oxide coating. The adhering portion has an area of 0.100 mmor more.

Terminal-equipped electric wire

A terminal-equipped electric wire includes an electric wire that includes a conductor, a terminal connected to the conductor, and a shell attached to the terminal. The terminal includes a grip portion that pinches the conductor. The shell includes a pressing portion that presses at least a portion of the grip portion toward the conductor. The grip portion and the conductor are joined with an alloy layer. The alloy layer contains a Cu&#x2014;Sn alloy.

A terminal to be connected to a front end part in an extending direction of a wire is provided with a terminal body including a sandwiching portion for sandwiching the wire, and a slide portion slidable along the extending direction of the wire with respect to the terminal body. The slide portion includes a pressurizing portion for pressurizing the sandwiching portion toward the wire. The terminal body is formed by a metal plate material in a bent state. The sandwiching portion includes a holding protrusion projecting toward the wire to contact the wire. The holding protrusion is formed by folding a tip portion of the sandwiching portion and overlapping the tip portion on an overlapping portion of the sandwiching portion. A first facing surface of the overlapping portion and a second facing surface of the tip portion are facing each other and overlapped.

A terminal to be connected to a wire is provided with a terminal body including a sandwiching portion for sandwiching the wire, and a tubular slide portion for accommodating the terminal body inside, the slide portion being slidable with respect to the terminal body. The slide portion includes a wide portion located on a front side in a sliding direction of the slide portion and a narrow portion located behind the wide portion in the sliding direction, an inner shape of the slide portion being narrower in the narrow portion than in the wide portion. The narrow portion is provided with a pressurizing portion projecting inwardly of the slide portion. The pressurizing portion presses the sandwiching portion toward the wire with the slide portionslid in the sliding direction with respect to the terminal body and the narrow portion located outside the sandwiching portion.

A terminal of the present disclosure is the terminal to be connected to a wire including a core and includes a terminal body and a sliding portion. The terminal body includes a sandwiching portion. The sliding portion is slidable in a front-rear direction between a partial locking position and a full locking position. The sliding portion includes a pressurizing portion configured to press the sandwiching portion at the full locking position to sandwich the core in a first direction by the sandwiching portion, at least a pair of first contact portions configured to contact the core in the first direction when the core is inserted into the sliding portion, and at least a pair of second contact portions configured to contact the core in a second direction intersecting the first direction when the core is inserted into the sliding portion.

A terminal is provided with a terminal body including a mating connecting portion, a wire connecting portion and a coupling portion, and a shell. The wire connecting portion includes sandwiching portions extending in an extending direction of a wire and configured to sandwich the wire. The shell includes pressurizing portions for pressurizing the sandwiching portions toward the wire. The mating connecting portion includes a mating bottom wall and mating side walls formed to rise upward in a predetermined rising direction from the mating bottom wall. The coupling portion is inclined in a direction opposite to the rising direction from the wire-side bottom wall toward the mating bottom wall to couple the wire-side bottom wall and the mating bottom wall.
