A door latch device includes: a rotating body; first and second levers; a lock mechanism on which an unlocking operation is performed and an open link is disposed in an unlocked position; and a latch mechanism. Further, the lock mechanism includes a lock lever which causes the open link to rotate when being operated by rotation of the rotating body, the rotating body is provided with two tilted walls so as to move the open link to the unlocked position when being rotated in one side from a reference position while the open link is disposed in a locked position, keep the open link in the unlocked position when being rotated in another side to the reference position while the open link is disposed in the unlocked position, and move the open link to the locked position when being further rotated in the another side.

Lock device

A vehicle door latch apparatus has latch mechanism, powered release means, manual release means and lock mechanism that is switched between a locked state and an unlocked state. Powered release means has cam wheel that is rotated in normal and in reverse rotational directions from a reference position by motor power. When cam wheel is rotated in the normal rotational direction from the reference position, latch mechanism is released while lock mechanism is held in the locked state When cam wheel is rotated in the reverse rotational direction from the reference position, cam wheel switches lock mechanism to the unlocked state. Cam wheel returns lock mechanism to the locked state when cam wheel is rotated in the normal rotational direction back to the reference position in the unlocked state.

Lock mechanism is provided between pawl lever and manual release mean. The present vehicle door latch apparatus includes ratchet member that engages latch and that can be released from latch by release component force F, latch restraint that prevents ratchet member from being disengaged from latch and powered release means that moves ratchet restraint. Ratchet member includes base lever and pawl lever. When ratchet restraint is moved, base lever is moved to a non-regulated position, where pawl lever can be disengaged from latch by release component force F. Manual release means is connected to pawl lever. Lock mechanism is provided between pawl lever and manual release means.

The present invention aims to reduce the operation noise of a latch device for a vehicle trunk lid when the lid is opened. Latch device for vehicle trunk lid

A hood lock apparatus includes: a primary lock portion holding a hood in a fully closed state; and a secondary lock portion holding the hood in a half open state and including a catcher attached to a vehicle body, a base attached to the hood, and a latch supported on the base, rotatable between a latching position and an unlatching position and including a hook portion locking the catcher when the hood is opened to the half open state with the latch being at the latching position, an operating portion operating the latch to rotate toward the unlatching position, and an abutment portion abutting the catcher when the hood is fully closed state with the latch being at the unlatching position.
