A disposable diaper has front and rear waist regions, a crotch region, and an absorbent chassis. The absorbent chassis includes an absorbent structure and a pair of side flaps. Each of the side flaps has layered sheet materials and includes a distal edge, a cuff branch line between the side edge of the absorbent structure and the distal edge, a leg-opening elasticized area between the cuff branch line and the distal edge, and a leakage-barrier cuff branched from the cuff branch line and intersecting with the leg-opening elasticized area. The leakage-barrier cuff has a free edge parallelly-spaced from the cuff branch line. The distance from the cuff branch line to the distal edge is larger than from the cuff branch line to the free edge. The number of sheet material layers included in the leg-opening elasticized area is larger than in the leakage-barrier cuff.

Disposable diaper

A diaper has vertical and lateral directions, and a skin facing surface and a non-skin facing surface on an opposite side thereof, includes a front waist region, a rear waist region, a crotch region positioned between the front and rear waist regions, and includes a pair of leg openings, and a waist opening defined by side edges of the front and rear waist regions. At least one of the front and rear waist regions includes a pair of tape fasteners fixed to the non-skin facing surface of the side edges. At least one of the front and rear waist regions includes a pocket openable toward the crotch region, on the skin facing surface. An upper end of a fixing part of the tape fastener is positioned at a lower side of a closing edge (folding part) positioned on the waist opening side of the pocket in the vertical direction.

Disposable wearing article

The present invention provides a disposable wearing article which prevents a position shift of a front waist region without a part of a front waist region receding in a concave portion of the abdomen of the wearer. A plurality of linear front waist elastics contractible in a lateral direction is disposed in a front waist region of a disposable wearing article. The front waist elastics have (include) a first elastic positioned adjacent to an outer side of a front-end edge of a liquid absorbent core in a vertical direction, a second elastic positioned adjacent to an inner side of the front-end edge in the vertical direction, and a third elastic positioned adjacent to an inner side of the second elastic in the vertical direction. A contractile force of the first elastic and the second elastic is weaker than a contractile force of the third elastic.

Disclosed is a disposable absorbent wearing article with a given part curved to protrude outward. At least one waist region, which is at least one of front and rear waist regions in a disposable absorbent wearing article such as a pull-on diaper includes an elastic band that form a part of a skin-facing surface and extends in a lateral direction. The elastic band has a middle part in the lateral direction elastically contracting, with an elastic contraction amount of the middle part being larger than a component part of article facing the middle part without being joined to the middle part, in a thickness direction of the middle part in the lateral direction. An absorbent core material in the at least one waist region has a deformation guide extending in a direction crossing the elastic band, formed to facilitate forming of a bulging part in the wearing article.

Disposable absorbent wearing article

Disclosed is a disposable wearing article in which a front waist region has an appropriate retaining force and free from a possibility that the lower abdominal region may be tightened. On a body facing surface, an elastic strip extending in a lateral direction between both lateral edges is located along a lower edge area of a front waist region of the disposable wearing article.

In a disposable diaper, a back waist region includes a belt region extending in a transverse direction on a skin-facing surface and a downward openable pocket facing, in a front-back direction, a central sub-region in the transverse direction of the belt region. The pocket is defined by a pocket outside wall facing the middle portion in the front-back direction and extending upward from the crotch region, a pocket inside wall facing the pocket outside wall and the belt region, respectively, in the front-back direction, and being continuous with the pocket outside wall through a folded portion and extending downward from the fold line so as to become continuous with the pocket inside wall of the middle portion in the belt region, and both pocket lateral portions formed from the respective lateral portions of the inside and outside walls, and tucked inward in the transverse direction.

A wearing article including cover sheets used to cover front and rear ends of a liquid-absorbent structure and improved to alleviate undesirable irritation due to such cover sheets potentially experienced by the wearer. A diaper includes front and rear waist members and a liquid-absorbent structure by which the front and rear waist members are connected. The liquid-absorbent structure has front and rear ends overlapping the front and rear waist members, and front and rear cover sheets are laminated on these front and rear ends to cover them. The front and rear cover sheets are formed with bonded regions adapted to be bonded to the liquid-absorbent structure or the front and rear waist members, outside non-bonded regions lying outboard of the bonded regions and inside non-bonded regions lying inboard of the bonded regions. The inside non-bonded regions are respectively folded back along fold lines toward the wearer's body to form turnbacks.

Wearing article

A pull-on wearing article includes first and second waist regions, and tape fasteners. The first waist region includes elasticity in the lateral direction. The tape fasteners include a fixed section fixed in the vicinity of a lateral region and a free section that includes a fastening section in which the tape fastener is removable with respect to the outer surface of the second waist region. The free section includes a holding end and a holding section extended from the fastening section to an outer side in the lateral direction, and the holding end is releasably fixed on a non-skin facing surface in the vicinity of the lateral edge of the first waist region, and a region between the fastening section of the first waist region and the holding end contracts, whereby the holding section assumes a convexly curved shape.

Pull-on wearing article

To facilitate a continuous tight fit of a diaper to a wearer, a disposable diaper having one waist opening and a pair of leg openings is provided with: a front-side section; a back-side section; a crotch section; and a pair of extensible or stretchable leg sheets. Longitudinal peripheral edge regions and inner lateral edge regions of the leg sheets are respectively joined, on one side of the crotch section, to lower edge regions of the front-side section and back-side section and lateral edge regions of the crotch section. The leg sheets each have notches facing inward from the outer lateral edges thereof. The pair of leg openings are defined by joining outer lateral edge regions of the leg sheets adjacent to front-side starting ends of the notches, and outer lateral edge regions of the leg sheets adjacent to back-side starting ends of the notches.

A disposable wearing article including a buttocks-covering section having tensile force sufficient to prevent this section from lifting and/or quirking during use of the wearing article and being free from anxiety that the buttocks-covering section might irritate the wearer's skin even if this section comes in contact with the wearer's skin. In this diaper, a rear waist region includes an inner sheet lying on a skin-facing side, an outer sheet lying on a non-skin-facing side, a rear waist main section facing a front waist region and a buttocks-covering section located below the rear waist main section wherein the buttocks-covering section is provided with a plurality of buttocks-covering section elastic elements in the form of strands extending in a transverse direction at a given distance one from another in a longitudinal direction and, in the buttocks-covering section, the inner sheet and the outer sheet are bonded to each other by adhesive applied to peripheral surfaces of the respective buttocks-covering section elastic elements.

A disposable wearing article including a tape tab being capable of fix the used disposable wearing article by a simple handling. The disposable diaper includes a chassis, an absorbent structure attached to a skin-contact surface of the chassis and a tape tab attached to a non-skin-contact surface. The tape tab is attached to a rear waist sheet and folded back so as to define a first section, a second section and a third section. The first section is provided with a mechanical fastener which is substantially not retained on the second section. Outside in the longitudinal direction of a fastening portion provided with the mechanical fastener, first temporary joint spots for temporarily joining part of the first and second sections and second temporary joint spots for temporarily joining part of the first through third sections are provided.

The present invention aims to provide a wearing article adapted to prevent unintentional displacement of a crotch region relative to front and rear waist regions by elastics attached to the crotch region. A diaper includes front and rear waist members, a crotch member by the intermediary of which the front and rear waist members are connected with each other. The rear waist member is formed with a waist fit section and an appendix section. Of the crotch member, front and rear ends including front and rear end flaps are bonded to the front and rear waist members, respectively, to form front and rear bonded regions. Both side flaps are provided on respective inner surfaces thereof with gasket elastics attached thereto. Each of the gasket elastic overlaps at one end with a part of the front waist elastic and overlaps at the other end with a part of the appendix section elastic. Furthermore, the one end overlaps with the front bonded region and the other end overlaps with the rear bonded regions.

Wearing article with bonded gasket elastic

A disposable wearing article having a rear waist region which includes a rear waist main section facing a front waist region and a buttocks-covering section lying adjacent to a crotch region. The rear waist main section is divided into an upper area lying adjacent to a waist-opening and a lower area lying adjacent to the crotch region wherein a tensile stress per unit width dimension in the buttocks-covering section is lower than a tensile stress per unit width dimension in the lower area of the rear waist main section.

A wearing article having a chassis bent in a crotch region. A diaper is folded along an imaginary lateral center line so that front and rear waist regions are in contact with each other and so that front and rear upper end edges in the regions substantially have the same level with each other. In such a folded state, first folds extending in the longitudinal direction are defined in portions of gasket cuffs which are biased toward the front waist region relative to the imaginary lateral center line. The first folds are defined along lateral edges of core of a liquid absorbent structure, and the gasket cuffs being located outboard of the lateral edges are folded along the first folds onto a garment-facing side of an outer sheet. Second folds which extend in the longitudinal direction are formed in containment cuffs. The second folds are lying on a side closer to the front waist region in relation to the imaginary lateral center line, and folded distal ends are expanded and folded to the garment-facing side of the outer sheet.

The present invention aims to provide a method for making disposable diapers so improved that no displacement of the absorbent core from the middle between a pair of the leg elastic members. The method comprises the step Pof bonding under tension elastic members to webs continuously fed in a machine direction MD to form front and rear sheet members the step Pof bonding an absorbent panel provided along opposite long sides of a rectangle with a pair of elastic members for a crotch region and including an absorbent core bonded thereto so as to be symmetric about an imaginary center line bisecting a distance between a pair of the elastic members for the crotch region to the front and rear sheet members at regular intervals and the step Pof cutting the front and rear sheet members.
