A semi-floating bearing (multilobe bearing) including: an annular main body through which a shaft is inserted; and a radial bearing surface formed on an inner peripheral surface of the main body, the radial bearing surface including a plurality of arc surfaces having different curvature centers and disposed adjacent to each other in a circumferential direction of the main body, and a minimum distance Ra between a central axis of the shaft and the arc surface, a curvature radius Rb of the arc surface, and a radius Rs of the shaft satisfying relationships expressed by the following Formulas (1) and (2). Ra/Rs≥1.001 . . . (1), (Rb−Ra)/0.9≤(Rb−Rs)≤(Rb−Ra)/0.6 . . . (2) provided that Ra is the minimum distance between the central axis of the shaft and the arc surface, Rb is the curvature radius of the arc surface, and Rs is the radius of the shaft.

Multilobe bearing

A semi-floating bearing (multi-lobe bearing) includes a radial bearing surface that is formed on an inner circumferential surface of a body, and that includes a plurality of arcuate surfaces having mutually different centers of curvature and arranged adjacent to each other in a circumferential direction of the body; and axial grooves formed on the radial bearing surface and extending in an axial direction of the shaft, a center position of the axial groove in the circumferential direction being located at a position spaced apart rearwardly from a boundary portion between the plurality of arcuate surfaces in the circumferential direction of the shaft within an area from the boundary portion to a central position of the arcuate surfaces in the circumferential direction.

Multi-lobe bearing and turbocharger

A bearing structure includes: a shaft provided with a turbine impeller; a pair of rolling bearings accommodated in a bearing hole and each including: an inner ring provided to the shaft; and an outer ring having a damper portion formed on an outer periphery of the outer ring; an opposing surface opposed to, from a turbine impeller side, a lateral surface of the outer ring of the rolling bearing provided on the turbine impeller side; and a first oil supply groove formed in the opposing surface and opposed to at least the damper portion and the lateral surface of the outer ring.

A turbocharger includes ball bearings each including an inner ring and an inner ring mounted to a shaft, and an outer ring and an outer ring provided so as to be relatively rotatable in a bearing hole, and damper portions formed in at least one of outer peripheral surfaces of the outer ring and the outer ring and opposed surfaces of inner peripheral surface of the bearing hole opposed to the outer peripheral surfaces of the outer ring and the outer ring.

A turbocharger includes: a bearing; a bearing wall portion having a bearing hole in which the bearing is arranged; a separation wall portion, which is provided on a radially outer side of the bearing hole with respect to the bearing wall portion, and forms an internal space with the bearing wall portion; an oil discharge port, which is formed in the separation wall portion, and communicates with the internal space; and a guide portion, which is provided to the bearing wall portion facing the internal space, and separates away from the oil discharge port in a direction of a plane perpendicular to a center axis of the bearing as approaching the oil discharge port in a direction of the center axis.

A bearing structure includes: a housing; a bearing hole formed in the housing; a bearing, which is provided in the bearing hole, and is configured to axially support a shaft having one end provided with a turbine impeller; a space, which is formed in the housing, and is positioned between the impeller and the bearing hole; a passage, which communicates with the space, and extends to a vertically lower side of the bearing hole; a communication opening portion, which allows the passage and the bearing hole to communicate with each other; and a lower wall portion, which is provided in a lower portion including a portion directly below an axis of the shaft between the passage and the bearing hole, and has an inner wall surface being opposed to the shaft and having a curved surface shape with a curvature center positioned on the shaft side.
