Provided is a battery degradation estimation device including a storage medium that stores computer-readable instructions, and a processor coupled to the storage medium, the processor executing the computer-readable instructions to: acquire time-series data including at least a voltage, SOC (State Of Charge), temperature, and current of a battery; convert the time-series data into intermediate data to be used for training; predict a future value of the intermediate data and a future value of an indicator relating to a degradation state of the battery by using a prediction function to generate training data; train a prediction model for estimating the indicator relating to the degradation state of the battery on the basis of the training data; and estimate the indicator relating to the degradation state of the battery on the basis of the prediction model.

A prediction system includes a charger and an estimation apparatus, and performs a method of predicting capacity degradation of a secondary battery. The estimation apparatus obtains changes of a plurality of parameters of capacity degradation, based on a fitting operation of fitting, to a target-battery charge curve of a target battery, reference data of the target battery or a battery of the same type as the target battery. Further, the estimation apparatus identifies a degradation change point where the degradation speed of the maximum battery capacity becomes high as a result of increase of the usage degree of the target battery, based on the plurality of obtained parameters.

Product management method

In a method of estimating an internal degradation state of a degraded cell, a measurement system calculates a target capacity characteristic curve by differentiating current capacity by voltage on a target charge curve of a target battery. Further, the method obtains changes of parameters of different types based on a fitting operation that fits the curve and a reference capacity characteristic curve calculated from reference data. In the fitting operation, whichever of low current capacity regions and high current capacity regions of the curve and the curve have a stronger correlation are fit first and whichever of them have a weaker correlation are fit later.

A voltage applying unit of a water detecting device applies, to a pair of electrodes, a voltage changing within an application range that includes a first voltage which is smaller than an electrolysis voltage of water and a second voltage which is larger than the electrolysis voltage of the water. A method for producing a fuel cell membrane electrode assembly includes: a step of bonding a polymer electrolyte membrane and a first catalyst layer-including substrate; a step of making a cut by way of a laser beam so that the first catalyst layer-including substrate bonded with the polymer electrolyte membrane becomes a predetermined shape; a step of peeling an unwanted portion of the first catalyst layer-including substrate from the polymer electrolyte membrane; and a step of forming a second catalyst layer on the other face of the polymer electrolyte membrane, and punching out the polymer electrolyte membrane and second catalyst layer so that the first catalyst layer-including substrate of the predetermined shape bonded on one face is surrounded, in which the laser beam has a wavelength that penetrates the polymer electrolyte membrane without penetrating the first catalyst layer-including substrate.

In a membrane electrode assembly, electrode catalyst layers are provided respectively on both surfaces of an electrolyte membrane. Each of the electrode catalyst layers includes polymer electrolyte and catalyst. In each of the electrode catalyst layers, the weight of a component of the polymer electrolyte contained in one surface facing the electrolyte membrane is twice as large as, or more than twice as large as the weight of the component of the polymer electrolyte contained in another surface.
