A vehicle door lock system is applied to a vehicle including a vehicle body having a door opening and a door, and the vehicle door lock system includes a striker structure installed at one of the vehicle body and the door and a door lock device installed at the other of the vehicle body and the door, the striker structure includes a first engagement portion and a second engagement portion disposed away from each other in the width direction, the door lock device includes a hook that is displaced between a locking position where the hook is allowed to be locked to the first engagement portion and a retraction position where the hook is not allowed to be locked to the first engagement portion, and the hook is positioned between the first engagement portion and the second engagement portion in the width direction when positioned at the locking position.

A guide rail includes: a first rail that has a bottom wall on which a load roller rolls and supports the weight of a sliding door; a second rail that has side walls on which two guide rollers roll and defines a moving direction of the sliding door; and a first restriction part that restricts the motion of the load roller in an axial direction.

A ramp system for a vehicle includes a control device. Using an obstacle detection device, the control device determines whether an obstacle exists within a ramp extension area. A vehicle body member manufacturing method and a vehicle body member joint portion seal structure are obtained that are capable of suppressing sinking of a sealing material filled into a recess formed by a first member and a second member. A sealing material is filled into a recess provided between a general face of an upper end portion of center pillar R/F and a general face of side rail R/F. After the sealing material has cured, sealing material is filled into the recess on top of the initial sealing material. This enables the surface of the sealing material to be levelled, thus enabling sinking at the surface of the sealing material to be suppressed.

A vehicle side portion structure includes a roof side rail that includes a rail reinforcement that is an outer portion of the roof side rail in a width direction of a vehicle, the roof side rail having a closed cross-section structure, a first upper contact surface which is formed on the rail reinforcement and with which a weather strip provided on an outer peripheral portion of a front side door is to come into contact, a flange which is formed at the rail reinforcement and to which a roof panel is joined, and a rail garnish that covers a portion of the roof side rail from the flange to an upper portion of the first upper contact surface in an up-down direction of the vehicle.

An object is to suppress vehicle body deformation in a side collision without sacrificing a vehicle interior space. Provided is a first reinforcing memberdisposed in a lockerat a vehicle lateral direction inner side, and a second reinforcing memberdisposed in lockerat a vehicle lateral direction outer side, which opposes first reinforcing memberin a vehicle lateral direction, and which is provided with a side surfaceA and an end surfaceE (engaging portions) that engage with first reinforcing memberwhen lockerdeforms. When lockerbegins to deform due to a side collision to a vehicle, end surfaceE of second reinforcing membercontacts and engages flangeE of first reinforcing member, and a torsional deformation can be suppressed, and side surfaceA contacts flangeD, and a crushing deformation of lockerin a vehicle lateral direction can be suppressed. Since first reinforcing memberand second reinforcing memberare provided in locker, vehicle interior space is not sacrificed.
