A control apparatus to be mounted on a vehicle includes one or more processors, and one or more memories each storing a program to be executed by the one or more processors. The program includes one or more commands. The one or more commands are each configured to cause the one or more processors to: determine whether the vehicle is in an enclosed environment; and execute abnormality notification control to output an abnormality notification based on a result of a power-source-state determination and a result of a presence determination when the one or more processors determine that the vehicle is in the enclosed environment. The power-source-state determination is a determination regarding a state of a power source of the vehicle, and the presence determination is a determination as to whether there is a person inside or outside the vehicle.

A method of controlling an electromagnetic relay includes supplying a first voltage to an exciting coil to bring a movable terminal into contact with a fixing terminal; causing a coupling state determination unit to determine that a coupling failure is detected in a case where the movable terminal is not brought into contact with the fixing terminal and the electromagnetic relay is not turned on despite the supplying the first voltage to the exciting coil; and supplying a second voltage higher than the first voltage from a booster circuit to the exciting coil in a case where the coupling state determination unit determines that the coupling failure is detected. The second voltage is generated by boosting the first voltage by the booster circuit.

A vehicle battery pack for an electric vehicle includes a battery, a battery-cooling-air channel, a fume exhaust channel, a fume-ventilation restricting unit, a temperature sensor, a blower fan, and a controller. Cooling air that cools the battery flows through the battery-cooling-air channel. Fumes generated from the battery flow through the fume exhaust channel. The fume exhaust channel is coupled to the battery-cooling-air channel. The fume-ventilation restricting unit closes off the fume exhaust channel from the battery-cooling-air channel in a normal state, whereas causing the battery-cooling-air channel and the fume exhaust channel to communicate with each other in an abnormal state. The temperature sensor detects a temperature of the fumes. The controller controls the blower fan, and increase the air volume of the blower fan on the basis of the temperature detected by the temperature sensor.

A battery-pack storage structure includes: a battery-case upper part configured to store a battery stack; a battery-case lower part; and a cooling air path through which cooling air for cooling the battery stack flows. The battery-case upper part is disposed on the battery-case lower part, and a bottom-part cooling air path, through which the cooling air flows, is formed between a bottom surface of the battery-case upper part and a bottom surface of the battery-case lower part.
