A cable connector includes a housing and a first contact provided in the housing. The first contact includes a first engaging and pivoting unit opposed to a back surface of the cable. The cable connector also includes a second contact which is provided in the housing and which includes a second engaging and pivoting unit opposed to the back surface of the cable. The second engaging and pivoting unit has a root which is thicker than that of the first engaging and pivoting unit. The cable connector also includes a cover. The cover includes a first through hole into which the first engaging and pivoting unit is inserted, a first cam unit engaged with the first engaging and pivoting unit, a second through hole into which the second engaging and pivoting unit is inserted, and a second cam unit engaged with the second engaging and pivoting unit.

Cable connector

A connector for a flat terminal includes a lever, a housing and contact. The lever has pivots. The housing is formed with a terminal recess and provided with bearings. The contact has a contact point and is located in the terminal recess. The housing includes guide ribs for separating the base end of the lever from the contact point in the process of attaching the lever to the housing. The contact point is located between the guide ribs. The guide ribs are formed on the bottom of the terminal recess in the housing, and stick out more than the contact point from the bottom of the terminal recess.

Connector for flat terminal

A thin board-to-board connector with high density in which there is no connection between three-dimensional complex metal springs. The board-to-board connector includes a connector having a bump for electrical connection having an umbrella shape on a board and connected to a circuit board and a connector having an elastic electrically conductive section having a through hole made in a conductive pattern on an elastic insulating board and connected to a circuit board electrically connected to the elastic conductive section. When a bump is inserted into the through hole, the elastic conductive section is electrically connected to the bump, and the side surface of the through hole is pressed against to the bump and elastically deformed and dented. Consequently, the bump is press-fit into the through hole. With this, the bump can be inserted into the elastic conductive section and engaged with it, and thereby electrical and mechanical connection between circuit boards can be simultaneously achieved in a two-dimensional manner, realizing a low-height connector.

Board-to-board connector

A cable connector includes a housing, a first contact having a first contact unit opposed to a front surface of a cable and an engaging and pivoting unit opposed to a back surface of the cable, a second contact which is provided in the housing and which has a second contact unit opposed to the front surface of the cable and a wall opposed to the back surface of the cable, and a cover which is turnably supported on the engaging and pivoting unit by a through hole into which the engaging and pivoting unit is inserted and a cam unit engaged with the engaging and pivoting unit. The engaging and pivoting unit is engaged with the cam unit so that the cover can move in an inserting and releasing direction of the cable. The wall limits movement of the cover in an inserting direction of the cable.

Plug-socket connector apparatus for optical fiber termination comprises first and second plugs and a socket. The first and second plugs are both single ferrule plugs. The socket is a molded interconnect device and a plug holder, and includes terminals located on the bottom face of the socket, first and second bores located at one side of the socket, and first and second retainers. The retainers retain latches formed in the plugs so as to prevent the plugs from falling out of the bores and to restrict rotation angles of the plugs around the axes within predetermined rotation angle ranges, when the plugs is plugged in the bores.

Connector for photoelectric conversion

An electrical coupler which is capable of being easily assembled into a main unit for electrically detachable interconnection of an external unit to the main unit. The coupler includes a dielectric header which carries an array of first terminal ends and an array of second terminal ends which are engageable with an arrays of first contacts of the main unit and an array of second contacts of the external unit for establishing an electrical interconnection. The header is made of a rigid material which integrally supports the array of the second terminal ends to define thereat a terminal connector responsible for detachable connection to the external unit. The header is molded to have a mount flange as an integral part for securely fixing the header to an enclosure of the main unit. A height adjusting mechanism is provided to vary a vertical position of the header relative to a main circuit board with which the first terminal ends are connected internally of the main unit, adjusting a height of the terminal connector from the main circuit board. Thus, the electrical coupler can be successfully assembled into the main unit with the terminal connector located at a suitable position for connection with the external unit, yet assuring to easily fix the terminal connector at that position to the enclosure in such a manner as to well bear the pulling and pushing force exerted at the time of connecting and disconnecting the external unit to and from the terminal connector.
