Magnetic readers that read magnetic data which is recorded on a magnetic card and a flexible cable that transfers each of the signals from the magnetic readers to a signal processing circuit side are included, branch portions that are branched off from a main body of the flexible cable and are connected to the magnetic readers, respectively, are provided in the flexible cable, the branch portions have first and second main-body portion side end portions, respectively, that extend in parallel to each other along a card sliding passage, and the main-body portion has a branch portion side end portion that intersects the card sliding passage and extends.

Magnetic card reader and transaction terminal device having the same

The terminal unit includes a main board, electronic components implemented on the main board, a sub-board covering above the electronic components and a frame member so disposed between the main board and the sub-board as to surround the electronic components. A flexible printed circuit covers an outer side of a wall portion of the frame member and is so wound around the frame member from upper and lower sides of the wall portion as to cover at least part of an inner side of the wall portion. A wiring pattern formed on the flexible printed circuit is electrically connected to the electronic components, and information to be protected that is stored on the electronic components becomes unreadable if the wiring pattern is cut off or short-circuited.

Terminal unit

A solid state image sensor capable of preventing image degradation, such as shading and ringing, from occurring in an image portion along the left edge of a screen. The solid state image sensor includes, in addition to a horizontal drive circuit that generates a horizontal drive pulse for driving a horizontal register, a pseudo-horizontal drive circuit that generates a pseudo-horizontal drive pulse successive to the horizontal drive pulse during a horizontal blanking interval. The horizontal drive circuit and pseudo-horizontal drive circuit are connected to a horizontal driver power supply unit, which generates, during the horizontal blanking interval, a current that is equal to a current generated by the horizontal driver power supply unit during an effective interval. This arrangement can prevent any power supply ripples from occurring immediately after the beginning of the effective interval.
