A method for evaluating the quality of a lens comprising illuminating imaging light on a screen through the lens to form a projected image, where the imaging light having a test-pattern image is generated using a test sheet on which a test pattern for measuring a resolution of the lens is formed to evaluate the resolution of the lens; detecting a brightness of the test-pattern image displayed on the screen by an image-capturing device using an imaging sensor; calculating an input level on the basis of the detected brightness of the test-pattern image; and calculating an evaluated value of resolution. The method, further comprises adjusting a position of the test sheet to a position corresponding to a focus of the lens by detecting the test-pattern image while moving the test sheet back and forth in the direction along an optical axis of the lens.

Print head device and ink jet printer including the print head device

There is provided an ink cartridge device which permits a delivery port-sealing film thereof to be positively peeled off and prevents ink from scattering out of the device during an operation for peeling off the delivery port-sealing film. An ink cartridge has an ink delivery port for supplying ink to the printer therefrom, and a rim of the ink delivery port. A container box contains the ink cartridge and has a box body and a lid for closing the box body. The box body is formed with a slit. A delivery port-sealing film has a sealing portion removably welded to the rim of the ink delivery port, for sealing the ink delivery port, and an unsealing operation portion continuous with the sealing portion and extending in a direction of making a U-turn with respect to the sealing portion to extend out of the container box through the slit of the box body.

An ink cartridge device includes an ink cartridge and a cartridge casing. The ink cartridge has a first surface formed with an ink delivery port, a second surface formed with an air inlet port, a delivery port-sealing film for sealing the ink delivery port, and an air inlet port-sealing film for sealing the air inlet port. The cartridge casing has a casing body and a lid for closing the casing body. The cartridge casing accommodates the ink cartridge. At least one of the delivery port-sealing film and the air inlet port-sealing film comprises an unsealing operation portion for opening the at least one of the delivery port-sealing film and the air inlet port-sealing film, the unsealing operation portion being fixedly attached to an inner surface of the cartridge casing.

Printer ink cartridge and ink cartridge device including the same

There is provided an ink cartridge which prevents ink from spilling out when the ink cartridge is mounted in a printer. An ink supply block of the ink cartridge is formed with a delivery port opening in a bottom of the ink supply block and a supply passage extending inward from the delivery port. A filter is provided at an upstream end of the supply passage. A lid member, which has a complementary shape to the supply passage, is removably mounted in the supply passage from the delivery port.

Ink cartridge for printers

A printhead unit is detachably coupled to an ink cartridge. The printhead unit includes an ink passage and a damper member for absorbing a pulsation of ink in the ink passage. The damper member permits the forces created when the ink cartridge receives an impact to be absorbed rather than translated through to the printhead, thereby destroying the meniscuses in the nozzles.

An ink cartridge and a method of disassembling the ink cartridge are provided. A casing body has a bottom formed with an ink delivery port extending therethrough. A casing lid joined to the casing body is formed with an air inlet port extending therethrough. The casing body and the casing lid forms a cartridge casing. The cartridge casing is filled with an ink-absorbent material. A delivery port-sealing film seals the ink delivery port. An air inlet port-sealing film seals the air inlet port. A filter is arranged within the casing body at a location inward of the ink delivery port by being inserted thereto from an ink-absorbent material side such that the filter is located between the ink delivery port and the ink-absorbent material. The casing body, the casing lid, the delivery port-sealing film, and the air inlet port-sealing film are formed of a resin material of the same kind. A gap is provided between an underside of the casing lid and a top surface of the ink-absorbent material, for allowing the cartridge casing to be cut thereacross. The ink cartridge is disassembled by the following steps: The ink cartridge is held in a vertically upside-down position. The ink cartridge is cut horizontally across the gap. Then, the filter and the ink-absorbent material are extruded by inserting a pusher from the ink delivery port.
