A readily burstable slide fastener for an inflatable device, such as a lifejacket, includes a first stringer, a second stringer and a slider slidably mounted on the second stringer. At a weakened region along the slide fastener coupling elements are omitted from each of the stringers so that when a bursting force is applied to this region the coupling elements adjacent thereto are disengaged. Coupling elements are omitted from the top of the first stringer so that when the slider is at the top of the coupling elements of the second stringer, the first stringer can disengage from the slider. When the slide fastener is fitted to an inflatable lifejacket, the stringers are separated completely when the lifejacket is inflated.

Readily burstable slide fastener

A reverse opening slide fastener is provided with a pair of first and second separable connection members which are firmly fixed to first and second fastener stringers, and a pair of first and second sliders. A connection and separation operation can be carried out by inserting and removing the second separable connection member into and from the first and second sliders. The second separable connection member has an inserting and removing region which can be inserted into and removed from the first and second sliders via a gap between upper and lower flanges of the first and second sliders. Further, a positioning structure which decides a relative position between the first separable connection member and the second separable connection member is arranged, whereby it is possible to improve an operability of the connection and separation operation.

Reverse opening slide fastener

A readily burstable slide fastener for an inflatable device, such as a lifejacket, that includes a first stringer, a second stringer and a slider slidably mounted on the second stringer. At a weakened region along the slide fastener coupling elements are omitted from each of the stringers so that when a bursting force is applied to this region the coupling elements adjacent thereto are disengaged. The coupling elements are omitted from the top of the first stringer so that when the slider is at the top of the coupling elements of the second stringer, the first stringer can disengage from the slider. When the slide fastener is fitted to an inflatable lifejacket, the stringers are separated completely when the lifejacket is inflated.

A slide fastener in which a fastener element has first and second leg portions continuously disposed at both ends of the coupling head is folded in half at its center, and the first leg portion is attached to a coupling element attaching portion of a fastener tape by a sewing thread. A vulnerable portion which is cut out into a V is formed on the bent end face of the coupling head.

A slide fastener which withstands a predetermined lateral pulling force in a usual usage and is cloven when an excessive lateral pulling force is applied at the time of airbag inflation, wherein the slide fastener in which a plurality of attachment leg portions of coupling teeth, on each of which a coupling head formed to have a relatively large width and the attachment leg portions extending from the coupling head are formed, are attached on a coupling tooth attaching portion of each of a pair of fastener tapes on right and left with a predetermined pitch along a tape longitudinal direction is configured to satisfy a relationship 0.4&#x2267;(2&#xd7;H&#x2212;P)/P&#x2267;0.1 between a summit height H [mm] of the coupling head formed to have a relatively large width and a pitch P [mm].

Bottom end stop for slide fastener

A slider () for a slide fastener comprises a slider body portion (), a latchportion () and a crown portion (). The crown portion () is disposed on the upper side () of the slider body portion () and the latch portion () is disposed on the underneath side () of the slider body portion (). The latch portion () comprises a latching member () and a receiving portion () which engage with a receiving portion () and latching member () respectively on a second co-operating slider (), to releasably latch the first () and second () sliders together.

In a zip fastener the elements () on one tape have a head which engages a shoulder () of an opposed element to limit out of plane movement. A small number of elements () have a head () which bears on a shoulderwhen twisted in one direction but passes the shoulder () when twisted in the opposite direction to allow partial separation of the elements to create a point of weakness. The coupled elements can be peeled apart when sufficient pressure is applied to one side of the tape at the point of weakness, but the elements resist twisting when pressure is applied to the opposite side.

Zip fastener with emergency opening facility

A female member of a snap fastener with tape comprising a female button made of synthetic resin which is integrally molded on front and back faces of the tape so as to hold a peripheral edge of an attachment hole of the tape having at least one attachment hole and which has an engaging opening to be engaged with a male button at a substantially center portion of the female button. The female button has at least one mold hole extending in a front and back direction of the tape, and at least one portion of the tape extends to an inside of the female button across the mold hole. At least one cut-out recessed in a diameter direction of the female button is defined in a portion of an inner peripheral engaging face of the engaging opening, and a gate burr is formed at a bottom face of the cut-out. Therefore, in the snap button with tape, and a manufacturing method and a mold of the snap button, in spite of a mold with a simple structure having a small number of pairs of pin members, gate burrs are not exposed on a surface, and the snap button can be easily manufactured without a special step for removing the gates, and the button can be firmly secured to the tape.

Manufacturing method of a snap fastener

In a fastening device with tape, a synthetic resin first member is integrally molded on front and back surfaces of a tape having at least one attachment hole in such a manner as to hold an entire peripheral edge portion of the attachment hole of the tape and has an opening portion at a center thereof, and then a synthetic resin second member is attached, by molding or the like, to the first member along an inner peripheral surface of at least the opening portion of the first member and has an engaging portion to be engaged with an opposing fastener. By differentiating a material and a color of the first member from that of the second member, various kinds of fastening devices can be efficiently obtained such as a snap fastener, a male and female button, an eyelet, a fastening band which can be freely adjusted to be various kinds of lengths, a hanging device for curtains or the like which can be applied various kinds of functions and colors in comparison with the conventional art and which can be firmly adhered to the tape.

Fastening device with tape, method of manufacturing the same and product to which the fastening device is attached

In a fastening device with tape, made of synthetic resin, the tape is composed of a warp knitting structure including an attachment area composed of one or more wales disposed at the right and left edge portions in a width direction of the tape, and a fastener-molding area composed of plural wales in a center portion in the width direction of the tape. The warp knitted tape is entirely composed of a knitting structure by tangling of two needle stitch yarns and weft in-laid yarns. A chain stitch yarn is further knitted into the attachment area so as to suppress the stretching property an stabilize dimensional form in the warp direction of the attachment area. In the fastener-molding area, a predetermined stretching property in the warp direction and some extent of stability in dimensional form are secured. The fastening device can be adapted well to an attachment object such as clothes having a stretching property and may be engaged or disengaged securely and accurately. Further, continuous smooth molding of the device can be enabled, and an attachment performance to clothes by sewing can be smoothly carried out.

Fastening device with tape

A tape of the fastening device made of synthetic resin is composed of an attachment area formed of one or more wales disposed at right and left edge portions of the tape in the width direction thereof and a fastener-molding area formed of plural wales in a center portion in the width direction. The warp knitted tape is entirely composed of a knitting structure formed by tangling of tricot stitch yarns and single cord stitch yarns, and chain stitch yarns are further knitted in the fastener-molding area so as to suppress stretching property in a warp direction of the area to a maximum extent and ensure a dimensional stability. The attachment area is composed of a knitting structure having required stretching property in its warp direction and some extent of stability in the dimensional form. Therefore, the fastening device with tape can be sewed to and along a curved line easily and can be adapted to an attachment object having stretching property well. Further, it allows engagement and disengagement of its fasteners securely and accurately, and enables continuous smooth molding of the fasteners made of synthetic resin onto the tape.

A fastener with tape has fastening members of synthetic resin molded integrally and firmly on front and rear surfaces of the tape so as to enclose an entire peripheral portion of a mounting hole of the tape having at least a mounting hole. The fastening members are made of synthetic resin material to which fine inorganic filler is added. The stiffness and the elasticity of the fastening members change depending on the kind and the addition amount of the inorganic filler. Therefore, when even if the melting point of the resin material for use is high so that a produced fastener can bear high temperature treatment but the stiffness and elasticity thereof are low, it is possible to provide a fastener with tape capable of not only bearing high temperature treatment but also having predetermined stiffness and elasticity, and also having an excellent wear resistance, by adjusting an amount of the inorganic filler to be added to the synthetic resin material
