A wasteless type lamination system comprises a first transfer device for transferring along a first transfer path a continuous laminate film; a cutter for cutting the continuous laminate film in a predetermined length, provided beside the first transfer path at the downstream of the first transfer device; a second transfer device for transferring along the first transfer path a cut laminate film; a film detection sensor for detecting a leading edge of the continuous laminate film, provided beside the first transfer path at the downstream of the cutter; a card transfer device for transferring a card along a second transfer path; and a thermocompression bonding device for laminating the cut laminate film to the card. The continuous laminate film is moved backward from the cutter by a predetermined distance by the first transfer device before or after cutting action of the cutter.

Wasteless type lamination system

In a double-side lamination system having a thermocompression bonding device for laminating laminate films on both surfaces of a card by applying heat and pressure using a pair of heat rollers, a temperature measurement device for measuring temperatures of the heat rollers are provided, and whether the lamination system is in a double-side lamination mode in which laminations are carried out on both surfaces of the card, or in a single-side lamination mode in which lamination is carried out on one of the surfaces of the card, is automatically distinguished by comparing measured temperatures of the heat rollers at a predetermined time after turn-on of the power of the system with a predetermined reference temperature.

Double-side lamination system

In a lamination system for laminating a film with a heat adhesive layer on at least a surface of a plastic card applying heat and pressure by heat rollers, each of two rectification devices for rectifying warp in the laminated card is provided independently of each other, at the downstream of the heat rollers, respectively along each of sides of the card along card transfer direction. Each of the rectification devices comprises a pair of rotatable rollers.

Lamination system

A lamination system comprises a first transfer means, a cutting means provided at the downstream of the first transfer means for cutting a laminate film, a second transfer means for transferring the cut laminate film, a card transfer means for transferring a card along a card transfer path that converges with the film transfer path at a point of convergence, and a thermocompression bonding means for laminating the cut laminate film with the card at the downstream of the point of convergence, in which a means for detecting a failure in cutting the laminate film is provided.

A thermal transfer recording apparatus suitable for reduction in production cost by the enhancement of operating properties of the thermal transfer recording apparatus and the miniaturization of apparatus and reduction in operational expenses. A first transfer ribbon for sequentially having a plurality of color ink resin layer sections arranged in a longitudinal direction to record a visual image, and a second transfer ribbon having alternately arranged precoating resin layer sections and protective coating resin layer sections in a longitudinal direction are alternately replaced to oppose it to a thermal head.

Thermal transfer recording apparatus and transfer ribbon

Disclosed is a thermal recording apparatus for forming a desired visual image on a recording medium disposed on the opposite side, by utilizing a thermal energy of heating elements provided on a substrate. In the thermal recording apparatus using a thermal head comprising a plurality of substrates on which the heating elements are arranged in line, the joint section of these substrates is positioned in an auxiliary information recording area outside of the image recording width, thus enabling to increase the recording width without deteriorating the recording quality of a visual image to be recorded. That is, in the present invention, one substrate is at least as wide as the image recording area, and another substrate having heating elements also disposed in line is connected to both sides, or one side, of the substrate for image recording, thereby enabling recording the image nearly at the center of the recording medium and also recording an auxiliary information of the image in a margin. The joint of the substrates in the thermal head is provided so as to come in the margin or in a boundary between the image recording area and the auxiliary information recording area.

Thermal recording apparatus

A thermal transfer printing apparatus has an improved ink sheet interchanging device. A fusion type or sublimation type thermal transfer printing using a combination of many kinds of ink sheets can be carried out by a single printing apparatus. A desired ink sheet cassette or ink sheet is selected by a carrier from a plurality of ink sheet cassettes each having an ink sheet, and moved in the recording paper transfer direction to a printing portion. A plurality of ink sheet cassettes are arranged at the up-stream side and down-stream side of the cassette transferring direction with respect to the printing portion or stacked at either one of the up-stream side and the down-stream side of the cassette transferring direction. Each of the ink sheet cassettes includes a supply core and a take-up core of the ink sheet arranged horizontally or vertically, and each of the take-up cores is transferred from the ink sheet cassette over the printing portion and returned to the ink sheet cassette after the printing.

Thermal transfer printing apparatus

A thermal transfer printing apparatus has an improved ink sheet interchanging device. A fusion type or sublimation type thermal transfer printing using a combination of many kinds of ink sheets can be carried out by a single printing apparatus. A desired ink sheet cassette is selected from a plurality of ink sheet cassettes each having an ink sheet, and moved to a printing portion. A plurality of ink sheet cassettes are stacked in a stock portion arranged in the up-stream side or the down-stream side of the cassette transferring direction. A plurality of ink sheet cassettes are mounted on a rotary plate, and a desired ink sheet cassette is transferred to the printing portion by rotating the rotary plate.

A message card includes a button type dry battery, a visual image display, a speaker, a control circuit for recording, storing and reproducing both of visual images and audio messages data, a flexible circuit substrate for mounting the control circuit, connecting substrate formed integrally to the circuit substrate for connecting electrically the control circuit with the visual image display and with the speaker, writing terminals for writing desired visual images and audio messages data on the control circuit and being connected electrically to the control circuit on the substrate, and a switch for activating the reproduction of the visual images and the audio messages data.
