A front panel for a sports bra has an interior liner layer having a back face contacting a wearer's skin, and an exterior shell layer having a back face facing a front face of the interior liner layer and coupled to the interior liner layer. A film layer is located between the front face of the interior liner layer and the back face of the exterior shell layer. The film layer becomes stiffer as a frequency of movement of a wearer's breasts increases, thereby absorbing forces caused by the movement of the wearer's breasts. A method for constructing a sports bra front panel with a thermally-induced shape memory polymer that exhibits viscoelastic properties when at body temperature and stiffens to absorb between about 0.015 N and about 0.03 N of force at frequencies of breast movement of between about 6 Hz and about 15 Hz is also disclosed.

Provided are a shape memory polymer composition, which comprises a bifunctional isocyanate and/or a trifunctional isocyanate, and a polyol having an average molecular weight of from 100 to 550, with a molar ratio in terms of functional groups of isocyanate:polyol=0.9 to 1.1:1.0; FRP having the shape memory polymer and a fibrous material; and a production process of the FRP comprising impregnating the fibrous material with, as a matrix resin, the shape memory polymer composition and curing. According to the present invention, the shape memory polymer composition has an extended pot life and FRP has excellent inflatability.

Provided are a matrix resin composition for fiber reinforced plastic, which comprises a bifunctional or trifunctional liquid diisocyanate, a bifunctional polyol and a bifunctional chain extender containing an active hydrogen group, with a molar ratio of the functional groups of the diisocyanate, polyol and chain extender of 5.0 to 1.0:1.0:4.0 to 0, respectively; and a process for producing fiber reinforced plastic, which comprises impregnating a fibrous material with the resin composition and then curing. The present invention makes it possible to produce a molding containing fibers densely, having excellent strength and inflatability, in the production of an FRP molding by using a thermosetting resin having an extended pot life.

Matrix resin composition for fiber-reinforced plastics and process for production of fiber-reinforced plastics

A humidifier is superior in terms of hygiene, simple in terms of maintenance, humidity is easily adjusted, and energy consumption is low. The humidifier uses, as a moisture permeable membrane, a moisture-permeable polyurethane obtained by using, as raw materials, at least an isocyanate component, a diol as a chain extender, and polyethylene glycol as a polyol component, and reacting these raw materials.

An object of the present invention is to completely cure a resin composition highly capable of screening energy radiation, such as a carbon fiber-reinforced composite material (CFRP), simply by exposing the resin composition to UV radiation in the presence of a specific photopolymerization initiator system (reaction catalyst system) comprising at least two components. To this end, the present invention provides a resin curing method wherein, when a resin composition is exposed to energy radiation typified by UV radiation, another kind of first energy than the energy from an energy radiation source is autogenously generated within the resin, and the same kind of second energy is successively generated by the autogenously generated energy, so that the resin composition is cured by means of the first and second energies, or both the first and second energies and the energy from the energy radiation source, whether or not the resin composition contains a substance capable of screening energy radiation.

Disclosed is a makeup material for human use containing a shape memory polymer shaped into fine spheres. The shape memory polymer used is a polyurethane that is obtained by polymerizing with the prepolymer method a composition of a bifunctional diisocyanate, a bifunctional polyol, and a bifunctional chain extender with active hydrogen groups in the mole ratio of diisocyanate:polyol:chain extender=2.00-1.10:1.00:1.00-0.10. The polyurethane is preferred to have approximately equal amounts of NCO groups and OH groups at its ends, and a glass transition point above the human body temperature, and a crystallinity value between 3 to 50 wt %.

A shape memory film formed from a shape memory transparent polymer, said shape memory film being capable of remembering a basic shape such as plane configuration and dead folds, taking on a second shape when the basic shape is modified (by changing the plane configuration and adding dead folds, twists, three-dimensional configurations, etc.) at a temperature higher than the glass transition point of the polymer and lower than the molding temperature of the polymer, and having the second shape set when cooled to a temperature lower than the glass transition point while being kept in the second shape; and a method of using said shape memory film by setting the second shape and subsequently heating the film to a temperature higher than the glass transition point, thereby causing the film to restore its basic shape.
