A low-dust dental alginate impression material composition is disclosed, comprising an alginate, a gelation reaction agent, a gelation regulator, and a filler as major components, which further comprises sepiolite and/or a tetrafluoroethylene resin having a true specific gravity of from 2.0 to 3.0. The low-dust dental alginate impression material composition of the present invention does not influence various capacities of the alginate impression material itself at all, is reduced in the generation of dust, and is superior in the storage stability.

Low-dust dental alginate impression material composition

A dental impression-taking silicone composition is provided, which comprises A) 100 parts by weight of an organopolysiloxane having at least two aliphatic unsaturated groups per molecule, B) 0.1 to 30 parts by weight of an organohydrogenpoly-siloxane having per molecule at least three hydrogen atoms directly bonded to a silicone atom, C) 10 to 500 ppm of a silicone-soluble platinum compound, as calculated on the basis of the total amount of A) and B), D) 5 to 500 parts by weight of an inorganic filler, and E) 1 to 200 parts by weight of a polyvinyl ether having a polymerization degree of 1,000 to 50,000. This composition provides a paste mixture having an increased strain in compression after curing and a reduced permanent deformation after curing and unlikely to run down during impression-taking. Upon cured, oil matter does not bleed out of the surface of the cured mixture.

The present invention relates to a soft lining material composition for dentures, which comprises, at specific ratios, an organopolysiloxane having a specific structure and a viscosity lying in a specific range, an organohydrogenpolysiloxane having another specific structure, a platinum compound soluble in silicone, a finely divided silica having a BET specific surface area lying in a specific range and subjected to a hydrophobic treatment on the surface, and a molten quartz powder having an average particle size lying in a specific range, such soft lining material composition providing a cured soft lining material composition which undergoes a little hardness change upon inserted in the mouth over an extended period of time, does not separate away from a denture, and being satisfactory in terms of the ability to be cut and polished.

Soft lining material composition for dentures

Paste A comprising a polysulfide polymer having a specific average molecular weight and specific amounts of liquid and filler components is mixed with Paste B comprising specific amounts of an oxide or peroxide of metal, a vulcanization accelerator, a filler and a liquid component for setting at room temperature at which a depilatory composition is used. A low-dusting powdery alginate impression material for dental purposes comprises (a) an alginate, (b) a gelation agent, (c) a gelation controlling agent, (d) a filler, (e) at least one of an oxide, hydroxide and fluoride of a metal and (f) lanolin with or without at least one lanolin derivative, and may further include pigments and perfumes, which provides increased dimensional accuracy, improved manipulatability, improved storage stability, improved dimensional stability and improved surface smoothness.

C. and is in the form of finely divided powders having a mean particle size of 5.times.10.sup.-3 .about.10 micrometers.

A thermoplastic dental filling composition is disclosed, comprising a polymer component containing trans-1,4-polyisoprene and an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer resin and an insoluble or sparingly soluble inorganic filler. The filling composition of the invention has similar softening operation properties to natural guttapercha and has a high tensile strength and, therefore, it can be suitably used as a root canal filling material. Further, a composition comprising the above-described dental filling composition having a wax-like component added thereto is used as a temporary filling material.
