The purpose of the present invention is to provide a water-in-oil type emulsion cosmetic that has a replenishing and smooth feel-of-use, that, once applied, forms a uniform coating, and that can minimize the appearance of skin roughness such as pores while covering discoloration such as spots and freckles, but that does not give an impression of a thick coating. The present invention provides a water-in-oil type emulsion cosmetic characterized by containing (A) 0.1-20 mass % of metallic soap-treated powder, and (B) a water-absorptive polymer having 0.01-2 mass % of a carboxyl group. The (B) water-absorptive polymer having a carboxyl group of this cosmetic preferably can absorb 10-1,000 times its own weight.

Water-in-oil emulsion cosmetic

An oil-in-water type emulsified cosmetic and a method of making can be prepared in a system not containing a silicone and is surprisingly produced without a wet-type dispersion apparatus by using a specific combination of the oil component constituting the oily phase and a hydrophobizing agent for a hydrophobized powder. The composition includes an aqueous phase; an oily phase dispersed in the aqueous phase; and a powder dispersed in the oily phase. The oily phase comprises a volatile hydrocarbon in oil in a combined amount of 40% by mass or more with respect to the total oil content. The powder has a surface hydrophobized by treatment with a metallic soap consisting of a higher fatty acid and a divalent metal, or by a composite treatment with a higher fatty acid and a divalent metal hydroxide.

Oil-in-water emulsion cosmetic

Provided is an elastomer that improves the skin feel of an inorganic powder. The elastomer according to the present invention is an elastomer comprising: (A) an amino group-containing silicone polymer; and (B) a carboxyl group-containing silicone polymer or a carboxyl group-containing acrylamide polymer, wherein a molar ratio Y/X between amino groups and carboxyl groups is within a range of 0.1 to 1.2, wherein Y denotes the molar amount of carboxyl groups contained in the component (B), and X denotes the molar amount of amino groups contained in the component (A).

Elastomer

An oil-in-water type emulsion solid cosmetic that causes 'adhesion' similar to that of a water-in-oil type emulsion solid cosmetic including wax, while having freshness and a moisturizing effect of an oil-in-water type emulsion substance. An oil-in-water type emulsion solid cosmetic contains (A) at least one hydrophilic thickening agent selected from the group consisting of gellan gum, agar, and copolymers including 2-acrylamide-2-methyl propane sulfonic acid, (B) a higher alcohol, (C) a surfactant, (D) water, and (E) an oil component, wherein the ratio between the blending amount of the (A) hydrophilic thickening agent and the total blending amount of the (B) higher alcohol and the (C) surfactant falls within the range of 3:1-1:9.

Oil-in-water type emulsion solid cosmetic

The oily phase comprises (a) volatile hydrocarbon oil and (b) non-volatile hydrocarbon oil in a combined amount of 40% by mass or more with respect to the total oil content, wherein the blending ratio of (b) non-volatile hydrocarbon oil to (a) volatile hydrocarbon oil, [(b)/(a)], is within a range of 0 to 2.5, and the powder comprises a powder having a surface hydrophobized by a treatment with a metallic soap consisting of a higher fatty acid and a divalent metal or a composite treatment with a higher fatty acid and a divalent metal hydroxide.

Oil-in-water type cosmetic composition

To provide a transparent solid composition having a high ultraviolet ray blocking effect, as well as superior moldability and stability. A transparent solid composition includes: (a) 12-hydroxystearic acid in an amount within a range from 1 to 15% by mass; (b) an oil having a refractive index within a range from 1.5 to 1.7; (c) an oil having a refractive index of 1.3 or greater and less than 1.5; and (d) one type or two or more types of an ultraviolet ray absorbing agent in an amount within a range from 5 to 50% by mass. The refractive index of the transparent solid composition is within a range from 1.47 to 1.55.

Transparent solid composition

To provide an oil in water type solid cosmetic composition which can be solidified into a stable solid shape, has a desired sensation of elasticity, has favorable take up properties when taken up with a finger, and imparts a superior sensation of freshness when utilized, as an oil in water type preparation. An oil in water type solid cosmetic includes: (a) 0.1 to 5% by mass of a hydrophobically modified polyether urethane; (b) 0.01 to 5% by mass of a hydrophilic plate shaped powder; (c) a hydrophobic powder; (d) an oil component; and (e) water.

Oil in water type solid cosmetic

An objective of the present invention is to provide a solid powder cosmetic excellent in impact resistance and usability despite that boron nitride and spherical resin particle are blended in a large amount. The present invention provides a solid powder cosmetic comprising: 12-30 mass % of synthetic fluorphlogopite iron; 5-15 mass % of boron nitride; and 5-15 mass % of phenyl-modified silicone spherical elastic powder.
