A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a common liquid chamber communicating with nozzles, a filter partitioning the common liquid chamber into an upstream chamber and a downstream chamber, an inlet and an outlet for the upstream chamber, a liquid storage section, a supply flow path, and a recovery flow path. A beam portion is provided inside the downstream chamber. A pressurization discharge operation for discharging the liquid from the nozzles by pressurizing the supply flow path and a circulation operation for circulating the liquid in a circulation path including the liquid storage section, the supply flow path, the common liquid chamber, and the recovery flow path, are performed. In a process of filling the circulation path with the liquid, the circulation operation is performed after the pressurization discharge operation is performed.

Liquid ejecting apparatus and filling method

A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a filter that partitions a common liquid chamber communicating with a nozzles into an upstream chamber and a downstream chamber, an inlet, an outlet, a liquid storage section, a supply flow path, and a recovery flow path. A beam portion is provided inside the downstream chamber. A pressurization discharge operation for discharging the liquid from the nozzles and a circulation operation for circulating the liquid in a circulation path are performed. In the filling process of filling the circulation path with the liquid, after the first circulation operation is performed, a predetermined operation for moving the liquid inside the downstream chamber in a direction different from a direction in which the liquid inside the downstream chamber is moved by the circulation operation is performed, and thereafter, the pressurization discharge operation is performed.

Liquid discharge apparatus and head module

A liquid ejecting head includes: a nozzle; first to fourth pressure chambers; a communication flow path communicating between the nozzle and the first to fourth pressure chambers; first to fourth driving elements; a first common liquid chamber communicating with the first and the second pressure chambers; and a second common liquid chamber communicating with the third and the fourth pressure chambers. A first joining position from the first pressure chamber and the second pressure chamber to the nozzle is closer to end portions of the first pressure chamber and the second pressure chamber on a nozzle side than to the nozzle, and a second joining position from the third pressure chamber and the fourth pressure chamber to the nozzle is closer to end portions of the third pressure chamber and the fourth pressure chamber on the nozzle side than to the nozzle.

Liquid ejecting head and liquid ejecting apparatus

A liquid ejecting head includes: a nozzle; first to fourth pressure chambers; a communication flow path coupled to the nozzle and communicating between the nozzle and the first to fourth pressure chambers; first to fourth flow paths coupling the communication flow path and the first to fourth pressure chambers; a first-common-liquid-chamber communicating with the first-pressure-chamber and the second-pressure-chamber; and a second-common-liquid-chamber communicating with the third-pressure-chamber and the fourth-pressure-chamber. The first-flow-path and the second-flow-path are arranged side by side in a first-direction, the third-flow-path and the fourth-flow-path are arranged side by side in the first-direction, and the first-flow-path and the second-flow-path, and the third-flow-path and the fourth-flow-path are arranged to be shifted in a second-direction orthogonal to the first-direction. The first-flow-path is shifted from each of the third-flow-path and the fourth-flow-path in the first-direction, and the second-flow-path is shifted from each of the third-flow-path and the fourth-flow-path in the first-direction.

A liquid ejecting head includes an ejection surface including head chips, and a first-positioning-portion and a second-positioning-portion disposed in a second-direction orthogonal to a first-direction with respect to the ejection surface and positioning a holding member, the liquid ejecting head has a first-edge and a second-edge separated from each other in the first-direction and extending along a third-direction parallel to the ejection surface and inclined with respect to the first-direction and the second-direction, and one end portion and the other end portion forming both end portions in the second-direction, and the first-positioning-portion does not overlap a virtual parallelogram having a first-virtual side contacting the first-edge and extending along the third-direction, a second-virtual side contacting the second-edge and extending along the third-direction, a third-virtual side contacting the one end portion and extending along the first-direction, and a fourth-virtual side contacting the other end portion and extending along the first-direction.

A flow path structure including a first-flow path includes a first-flow path member that including a first-resin member made of a resin and a first-film member having a film, a second-flow path member laminated on the first-flow path member and adhered to the first-flow path member, in which the first-resin member includes a first-front surface that is a surface facing the second-flow path member and that is provided with a first-recessed portion, the first-film member includes a first-surface and a second-surface that is opposite from the first-surface, at least a portion of the first-surface is in close contact with a front surface of the first-resin member inside the first-recessed portion, and the second-surface and the second-flow path member define at least a portion of the first-flow path in a region overlapping the first-recessed portion in a laminating direction of the first-flow path member and the second-flow path member.

There is provided a liquid ejecting head which is long in a first direction and short in a second direction, including: a first introduction section; a second introduction section; a first filter chamber group having a first filter chamber and a second filter chamber; a second filter chamber group having a third filter chamber and a fourth filter chamber; a first supply flow path for supplying the liquid from the first introduction section to the first filter chamber group; and a second supply flow path for supplying the liquid from the second introduction section to the second filter chamber group, in which the first introduction section, the second introduction section, the first filter chamber group, and the second filter chamber group are arranged side by side in this order in the first direction.

There is provided a liquid ejecting head including: first and second nozzle rows extending in a first direction; a first supply flow path; a first filter chamber having a first inlet; and a second filter chamber having a second inlet, in which the first and second nozzle rows are shifted from each other in both the first direction and a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, the first supply flow path has a branch flow path for distributing the liquid between the first filter chamber and the second filter chamber at a branch position, the branch position is disposed between the first filter chamber and the second filter chamber in a plan view, and the first and second inlets are disposed at a part where the first filter chamber and the second filter chamber overlap each other when viewed in the second direction.

A liquid ejecting head that has an ejection surface configured to eject a liquid includes a plurality of head chips that are long in a first direction. The plurality of head chips are arranged inside a virtual parallelogram including a first virtual side and a second virtual side that are in contact with at least one of the plurality of head chips and that extend in the first direction, and a third virtual side and a fourth virtual side that are in contact with at least one of the plurality of head chips and that extend in a second direction intersecting the first direction, and the ejection surface is not overlapped with an acute-angled portion of the virtual parallelogram when the ejection surface is viewed in a normal direction of the ejection surface.

A liquid ejecting apparatus includes a head unit having heads that configure to eject a liquid in a first-direction, and in which a second-direction orthogonal to the first-direction is a short direction and a third-direction orthogonal to the first and second-directions is a longitudinal direction, and a holding member. The head unit has a first-head, a second-head adjacent to the first-head, and disposed in the second-direction, and a third head adjacent to the second-head, and disposed in the second-direction.
