In an RFID system comprising a detection unit for detecting an RFID tag and a control unit for exercising the control concerning the RFID tag, a determination unit determines whether to access a second area of an RFID tag comprising storage area, comprising of a first area for storing ID information and the second area for storing command information. An extraction unit extracts command information from the second area when it is determined to access the second area. An execution unit performs a process corresponding to the command information extracted by the extraction unit.

RFID system and RFID tag

In a mechanism for attaching to a cart an RFID tag used for transmitting and receiving data to and from an RFID reader/writer, a holding pocket retains the RFID tag. The orientation of the pocket is kept constant in such a manner that a surface of the RFID tag from which data can be read highly accurately faces an antenna for the RFID reader/writer while keeping the distance between the RFID tag and the antenna within a certain range regardless of the transfer direction of the cart.

A power supply control device is provided with a first power supply input terminal to which a power supply is provided and a second power supply input terminal to which a power supply is provided. A power supply input detection unit detects an instance when the input of the second power supply input terminal is above a predetermined value and then a switch unit cuts off power supplied from the first power supply input terminal and activates power supply from the second power supply input terminal when the input from the second power supply input terminal is above a predetermined value according to the power supply input detection unit. A constant linear velocity control (CLV control) for controlling a spindle motor so as to set a linear velocity in a track circumferential direction to be constant and a constant angular velocity control (CAV control) for controlling the spindle motor so as to set a rotation of a medium to be constant are switched and controlled for a change in position in the radial direction of the medium of a pickup in accordance with a detection result of the medium loaded. In the switching control, selection information of the CLV control and the CAV control is previously registered in accordance with the kind of medium and the CLV control or the CAV control is selected in accordance with the corresponding selection information obtained from the detection result of the medium.

Optical disk apparatus

A first host interface circuit for an MO and a second host interface circuit for a CD are provided in order to allowing a common apparatus of two kinds of medium to be seemed as independent drives, for example, a CD player and an MO drive for a host. The first host interface circuit for the MO and the second host interface circuit for the CD are allocated to a master and a slave by peculiar ID numbers in a host interface. The first host interface circuit for the MO executes a reception of a command for the MO from and a response to the host interface. The second host interface circuit for the CD executes a reception of a command for the CD from and a response to the host interface.
