A ship that reduces the total amount of fossil fuels and other energy sources required, thereby saving energy. The ship () has a plurality of subsystems () constructed by dividing a network of power supply lines () and signal lines () into groups. The subsystems () consist of at least two subsystems among a bridge subsystem () on the bridge; a propulsion subsystem () in an engine room; a deck subsystem () installed on a deck; a ballast cargo subsystem () for ballasting and equipment installed in a hold; and an information processing subsystem () corresponding to communication equipment. The subsystems () each have a storage battery () and a smart meter (), each of which is linked to a microgrid monitoring and control system (), which detects the amount of electric power consumed by the subsystems (), and controls the transfer of electric power between the subsystems.

The present invention provides a ballast water treatment system including a reaction tank in which raw water and ozone are imported and made to react each other for a predetermined period of time to kill microorganisms existing in raw water, an ozone decomposer in which water containing residual ozone discharged from the reaction tank is imported and the residual ozone is decomposed, and a circulation pump installed between the reaction tank and ozone decomposer, forming a circulation system which removes the residual ozone by means of circulating the water containing the residual ozone between the reaction tank and ozone decomposer. Accordingly, this system dispenses with a deaeration tank which would require a wide space for installation, small cost and is able to be applied to existing ships easily.

Ballast water treatment apparatus

A ballast water intake and treatment system is disclosed, the system including a membrane treatment unit arranged in or on a ship hull for the separation of microorganisms of no smaller than a given size and organized to execute filtration during the intake of sea water or fresh water outside the hull into ballast tanks by the use of an intake pump installed consecutively with the membrane treatment unit. The system checks the invasion of microorganisms, etc. of no smaller than a given size during the intake of ballast water and allows ballast water free of microorganisms, etc. of no smaller than a given size to be fed into ballast tanks.

The present invention provides a method of removing ozone remaining in water by separating residual ozone which remains in water after ozone is mixed in the water and kills microorganisms in the water including the steps of storing water containing the residual ozone in a pressure tank, supplying the pressure tank with compressed air, generating coarse bubbles larger than the residual ozone existing in water in the form of micro bubbles in pressurized condition, making the residual ozone in the form of micro bubbles adhere to the coarse bubbles, separating the residual ozone from water as the coarse bubbles go up, and discharging the micro bubbles from the pressure tank. Accordingly, the present invention provides a method of removing ozone remaining in water to remove ozone remaining in water inexpensively and efficiently.
