Electrical connector cover

The terminal comprises a conductive contact plate, a conductive body, an extended part, and a lance. The conductive contact plate is elastic and makes contact with a counterpart terminal. The conductive body supports the conductive contact plate and comprises a side plate. The extended part comprises a folded part extending from the +Z-side end of the side plate and folded outward from the conductive body and an overlapped part extending from the leading end of the folded part and overlapping with the side plate. The lance is a member protruding from the overlapped part and having the shape of a cantilever beam.

Terminal and connector

The electric connector includes a housing to be fit into a second electric connector, and a cylindrical hollow terminal making contact with a projecting terminal arranged in the second electric connector when the projecting terminal is inserted into the cylindrical hollow terminal, the housing and the cylindrical hollow terminal being formed integrally with each other by an insertion-molding process, the cylindrical hollow terminal being formed with a structure for preventing molten resin from flowing into an area at which the cylindrical hollow terminal and the projecting terminal make contact with each other while the inserting-molding process is being carried out.

Electric connector with a structure to prevent insert-molding from hindering contact and method of fabricating the same

A connector terminal includes a terminal body operable to be inserted into a terminal space formed in a housing, and an elastic contact piece arranged in the terminal body. The connector terminal contacts an inner peripheral surface of a cylindrical terminal while being inserted into the terminal space. The elastic contact piece includes a contact portion constituted of an arc surface, and also includes at least one projection formed on the contact portion, the at least one projection contacting an inner arc surface of the cylindrical terminal. The at least one projection extends in a length-wise direction of the cylindrical terminal.

Connector terminal

The electrical connector includes: a housing having a terminal space therein; and a connector terminal to be housed in the terminal space. The connector terminal includes: a terminal body operable to be inserted into the terminal space; and a lance formed at the terminal body for preventing the terminal body from being pulled out of the terminal space. The terminal space includes a pair of walls. The lance includes: a first elastically deformable portion outwardly extending from the terminal body; and a second elastically deformable portion being continuous with a distal end of the first portion, and being disposed outwardly of the first portion relative to the terminal body. A gap is formed between the terminal body and each of the walls, and the first and second portions can pass the gap in an elastically deformed condition.

Electrical connector and connector terminal

An electrical connector including: a housing including an outer peripheral part; and a lock arm provided with the outer peripheral part. The lock arm is swingable like a seesaw and detachably engages with a locking part provided with another housing of a mating connector. The lock arm extends along a coupling direction toward the mating connector. A pair of side wall parts are provided with the outer peripheral part such that the pair of side wall parts oppose to each other from both sides of the lock arm. An elastic support mechanism for swingably supporting the lock arm is provided between a lower face part of the lock arm and inner side faces of the pair of side wall parts.

Electrical connector

An electrical connecting module includes a first electrical connector, and a second electrical connector, both being coaxially fittable into each other. The first electrical connector includes a first housing, and a contact terminal housed in a terminal space formed in the first housing. The second electrical connector includes a second housing and a cylindrical terminal fixed in the second housing, the cylindrical terminal being fabricated by joining opposite ends of an electrically conductive sheet to each other in a manner such that the sheet defines a circular cross-section. The contact terminal includes an elastic contact piece contacting an inner surface of the cylindrical terminal. Each of the housings includes a positioning section for causing the elastic contact piece to contact the cylindrical terminal at the inner surface other than an area through which the opposite ends of the electrically conductive sheet are joined to each other.

Electrical connecting module

An electric connector includes a housing having an opening and a bottom, the housing being formed at the bottom with a recess, a terminal inserted into the housing through a bottom of the recess such that a top thereof is located in the housing, and a cured resin filled in the recess, the recess having an inclining inner sidewall.

Electric connector

An electric connector includes a male connector and a female connector, the male connector including a cylindrical main portion, and a male contact terminal formed at the main portion. The female connector includes a hole into which the main portion is fit, and a female contact terminal formed at the hole for making electrical contact with the male contact terminal when the main portion is fit into the hole. One of the male connector and the female connector includes a guide shaft axially extending in a direction in which the male connector is fit into the female connector, and the other of the male connector and the female connector includes a guide hole for allowing the guide shaft to be inserted thereinto to guide the guide shaft in the direction.

A connector terminal includes: a terminal body operable to be inserted into a terminal space formed in a housing; and an elastic contact piece arranged in the terminal body. The terminal body includes: a bottom wall possessing an opening; and a top wall facing the bottom wall away therefrom. The elastic contact piece includes: a first end fixed to the bottom wall; a second end abutting on the top wall; and a U-shaped folded portion. When the terminal body is inserted into the terminal space, the folded portion runs onto a raised portion, a part of the elastic contact piece moves out of the opening, and the second end abuts on the bottom wall.

The electric connector includes a plurality of terminals each having a stepped portion recessed or raised in a direction intersecting a direction in which the terminals are inserted into a later-mentioned housing, a housing formed with an opening, the terminals being inserted into the housing, and a holder inserted into the housing through the opening and engaged to the stepped portions of the terminals to thereby fix the terminals in the housing, the holder including a front and a pair of sidewalls all of which are shaped to be engageable to the stepped portions of the terminals when the holder is inserted into the housing, and a pair of flexible portions resiliently deformable to move towards and away from each other.

A housing used for an electric connector, includes a terminal space into which an electric terminal is to be inserted, and a lance for preventing the electric terminal from being slipped out of the terminal space. The lance includes a flexible portion, and a protrusion extending from the flexible portion and engaging with the electric terminal. The lance defines an escape space in which the flexible portion can be bent in a direction in which the protrusion and the electric terminal are disengaged with each other. The flexible portion has a passage along which a jig can move and which extends in a direction in which the jig is inserted into the lance, and the jig is used for disengaging the protrusion and the electric terminal from each other.
