A main body unit includes a wire cabling circuit body which is formed by bending rigid wires into predetermined cabling pattern shapes, a base member allowing the wire cabling circuit body to be disposed on an upper surface thereof and allowing electronic components such as a read-only memory to be mounted thereon, and a cover which is fixed to the base member in a manner that covers the wire cabling circuit body disposed on the base member. The main body unit is disposed inside a transmission case.

Automatic transmission for vehicle

A switch device includes a key member ( ). The key member ( ) has a display switch button ( ) including a transparent portion through which image information displayed on a display screen of an image display device is transmitted so as to display the image information on an outer side surface of the key member ( ). Furthermore, the key member ( ) has a waterproof dust cover ( ) of a rubber material, which is molded integrally on the button mounting frame ( ) to cover the same, and which includes a support portion ( ) held in intimate contact with the display screen, and a contractible skirt portion ( ). A plurality of resin filling holes are formed in the button mounting frame. The rubber material, forming the waterproof dust cover ( ), is filled in the resin filling holes.

Switch device

An electric wire holder for laterally arranging a plurality of electric wires on an object is provided, which includes a plurality of slit-like receiving portions each formed with a pair of wall portions facing to each other for receiving an electric wire, wherein the wall portions are heightened more than a diameter of the electric wire according to number of the electric wire to be held so as to receive the plurality of electric wires in pile in a single receiving portion. Thus, a number of electric wires can be arranged along with reduction of an arranging space, increase and decrease in number of electric wire can be easily coped with, and each electric wire can be surely and tightly held.

Electric wire holder

A module structure which enables an instrument panel wire harness to have a simple construction, and in which the module can be formed into a small size, thereby reducing the number of the component parts and also enhancing the efficiency of the assembling operation. The module structure includes a panel body having a plurality of key members, a screen display device displayable a plurality of operating informations of electrical equipments, a touch panel switch feedable different switching signals based upon depression of the touch panel switch in accordance with a position of a display by the screen display device, the touch panel switch provided between the panel body and the screen display device, and a printed circuit board which has a plurality of contact portions associating with the key members, a circuit electrically connected to the screen display device, the touch panel switch and the contact portions, and a first connector electrically connected to the circuit, the first connector which is fittable to a second connector mounted in an opening formed in an instrument panel so that the module structure is detachable in the instrument panel.

Module structure

An instrument panel unit for easily assembling a number of parts by eliminating instrument panel sublines, wherein the instrument panel is provided with a plurality of windows on a front wall thereof, a first fixture guide is attached to a position where corresponds to the respective windows at the back of the front wall, a second fixture guide is respectively attached at the back of the front wall of the instrument panel, function parts, such as center displays, second displays at the driver seat, and safety functions such as an air bag system at passenger seat, are installed in the respective windows of the instrument panel unit, control parts are also accommodated in the instrument panel unit for controlling the function parts, and a circuit element is provided within the instrument panel unit along the back of the front wall, which circuit element has branches extending to the first and second fixture guides and connecting the function parts and the control parts with each other through connectors attached at the ends of the branches, whereby when the function parts are mounted to the first fixture guides and the control parts are mounted to the second fixture guides for installation, the connectors are connected thereto for providing electrical connection.

Instrument panel unit

A wire harness device for inpane includes: an electrical instrument unit having a first connector to be connected to a harness; an instrument panel (inpane) having an attachment portion for the electrical instrument unit, the attachment portion having an insertion hole corresponding to the first connector; an air duct to be assembled with the inpane; a harness for the inpane which is provided with a second connector for receiving the electrical instrument unit and to be connected to the first connector of said electrical instrument unit; and a box-shaped connector holder for holding the second connector, which is provided in the air duct and movably positioned for the insertion hole. The wire harness device for inpane can easily make assembling of the instrument panel with an air duct, connection of an electrical instrument unit to a wire harness for an instrument panel and assembling of such a unit to the inpane by means of an improvement in the positioning accuracy of a unit receiving connector.

Wire harness device for use in instrument panel

Circuit bodies (4) and (11) are respectively mounted on surfaces of a door trim (3) and a door panel (2). The circuit body (4) includes a circuit plate (17) and a switch holder (18) which has fixed therein an end portion of the circuit plate. The holder (18) is disposed between mount arms (39) on the door trim, and to the holder is mounted a switch unit (20) so that contact portions of the end portion of the circuit plate are registrated with keys (21) of the switch unit (20). The holder (18) has positioning pins (36) for the end portion of the circuit plate and for the switch unit (20). The circuit body (4) has a tongue-like connecting portion for connecting to a connector on the door trim (3) side. Circuits and auxiliaries on the door trim side are easily and reliably connected to circuits on the door panel side.

Circuit connection structure for automobile doors

A connector connecting structure capable of smoothly connecting connectors, for example, on a vehicle door trim and on a door panel respectively, even in case of the door trim slantingly approaching the door panel. A projection having a terminal conductor is orthogonally arranged on a substrate and is rotatable about a flexible portion as a supporting point, while a slant guide corresponding to the projection is formed on a connector corresponding to the projection for enabling the projection to be inserted into the connector slidingly and rotatively along the slant guide. Practically, a vehicle door trim functions as a substrate and a connector is provided on a vehicle door panel for enabling a projection on the door trim to be inserted into the connector upon rotative assemblage of the door trim onto the door panel. Further, a projection is formed long into a rig and a connector has a rib insertion space having an opening from the front portion throughout the longitudinal ends and also a plurality of connectors are arranged in a line for enabling the plurality of connectors to be simultaneously connected with the projection.

Connector connecting structure

A door panel (12) is provided with auxiliaries (2-4) and their respective connectors (7-9), and a door trim (5), which is joined to the door panel, is provided with a circuit body (6) having connectors (30-32) fittable to the connectors (7-9). The door trim (5) has a rib (34) projecting thereon, and end conductors (16a, . . . ) of the circuit body (6) extend onto the rib (34) to constitute connectors (30-32). The rib (34) is deflectable. The door trim (5) has a circuit body expand and contract member (47) through which the circuit body (6) extends to an automobile body side. The troublesome wiring work of a circuit body on the door panel side is obviated.

Structure for assembling circuit bodies on doors

A structure for installing a wire harness within a vehicle door, wherein a wire harness is placed obliquely alongside the vehicle door and swingingly supported at a vertical position to avoid the stress of the wire harness to be caused when the door is opened or closed. The swinging portion of the wire harness is passed through the swinging portion of a protector. One end of the swinging portion of the wire harness is rotatably connected to a sliding portion of the protector and the other end of the swinging portion is rotatably supported at the vehicle door side. The position at which the swinging portion of the wire harness is supported is set to be the center of a range in which the protector slides. A case fitted into a door panel or formed integrally with a door trim and a cover hinged to the case can be employed to enclose the protector and the swinging portion of the wire harness fixed to a clamp holding portion with use of a clamp.

Wire harness installation structure for vehicle door

An electric equipment unit is mounted to a mount opening as in an instrument panel. The unit has on top a panel-connecting means electrically connected with its internal circuit, and on opposite left and right sides at an upper portion thereof clamps and at a lower portion thereof support shaft means. The mount opening has on its upper inner surface a unit-connecting means, on opposite left and right inner surfaces at an upper portion thereof fixing holes and at a lower portion thereof shaft-receiving means. The unit is rotated and mounted to the mount opening, with its support shaft means engaged in the mount opening shaft-receiving means, so that the clamps fit in the fixing holes, while at the same time the panel-connecting means is contacted and electrically connected with the unit-connecting means. The mountability of an electric equipment unit to a structure such as an instrument panel is so improved as to enable easy blind operation, while making it possible to attain the mounting and the electric connection at one time.

Structure and method for mounting electric equipment unit

A plurality of electrical equipment units have a harness connecting connector, and an instrument panel has a plurality of mounting openings for the equipment units. An assembly housing is arranged in the instrument panel. A wiring harness for the instrument panel has a plurality of self-mating connectors for the equipment units, the self-mating connectors being respectively connected to a flexible flat circuit sheet. The assembly housing has a side wall with a harness receiving recess and has a plurality of connector holders. The harness receiving recess is fixedly mounted with the circuit sheet for the wiring harness, each of the connector holders supporting one of the self-mating connectors. Thus, the insertion of the electrical equipment unit into the mounting opening of the instrument panel causes the connection of the harness connecting connector and the self-mating connector.

Wire harness and instrument panel assembly

A wire harness device for instrument panels in which when a wire harness for an instrument panel and electrical element units are mounted to the instrument panel, a complicated construction for junction units of the harness like the conventional movable connector is unnecessary; little shift exist in position against the element units; and it is easily fixed to improve its maintainability. A wire harness device comprises a plurality of mounting spouts formed on an instrument panel and having electrical element unit inserted from a front surface side of the mounting spout for mounting on the instrument panel; a plurality of junction units on the instrument panel with connecting portion of the electrical element unit connected to the junction unit; and a wire harness for the instrument panel comprising a plurality of junction units and resilient circuit bodies.

Wire harness device for instrument panels

A plurality of surface terminals are disposed on the peripheral surface of the base casing of an electrical module, and a plurality of connection terminals which are joined to the surface terminals are disposed on the peripheral wall of the module accommodating portion of an instrument panel. Guide grooves are provided in the peripheral wall of a front casing, and anchoring pins which are anchored to the guide grooves are provided in the peripheral wall of the module accommodating portion so that the pins can freely be protruded into or retracted from the module accommodating portion. By fitting the electrical module into the module accommodating portion, the electrical module is fixed to the instrument panel and also the surface terminals are joined to the connection terminals.

Mounting structure for an electrical module

This invention is intended to ensure complete water-proof sealing between a fixture of a wire harness and a door frame and between a weather strip and the fixture and/or a door frame at a draw-out part of a door wire harness for an automobile door and prevent ingress of water from outside into the automobile cabin. An L-shaped recess (B) is formed across a side plate part (A1) to an inner plate part (A2) at a hinge fitting side of a door frame (A) of an automobile, a connector through hole (2) is formed in a main plate part (1) of an L-shaped fixture (D) which covers the L-shaped recess (B) and a weather strip guideway (3) is formed on the surface of the main plate part (1). Simultaneously, a cutaway part (3b) and a tapered abutment part (3a), which terminates in the cutaway part (3b), are provided at both ends of the weather strip guideway (3b), a water-proof packing (E) is provided on the periphery of the internal surface of the main plate part (1) and part of the water-proof packing is disposed to face the cutaway part 3b.
