An object of the present invention is to provide an on-vehicle interior illuminating device able to show the light moving with a small number of light sources and to reduce cost. The on-vehicle interior illuminating device includes: a light guide member; one light source unit; the other light source unit; and a control unit. The control unit turns on the other light source unit after turning on the one light source unit, turns off the one light source unit after turning on the other light source unit, and turns off the other light source unit after turning off the one light source unit.

Provided is a wire harness which does not increase in size with increase in number of electronic devices controlled by an electronic control unit and can standardize a relay connector, and an electronic device control system including such wire harness. A wire harness structure () communicably-connects electronic devices () mounted on a vehicle to an electronic control unit () controlling the electronic devices, and includes a relay connector (A,B) relaying a control signal from the electronic control unit to the electronic devices, a power wire () and a ground wire () drawn out from the relay connector, power supply units connected to the power wire and the ground wire, and sets of signal wires () transmitting the control signal to each power supply unit arranged to supply power to the electronic device and drive the electronic device according to the control signal from the signal wire.

A method of estimating a state of charge of a battery, a method of estimating an open circuit voltage of a battery, and a method and device for computing a degradation degree of a battery are provided. As a degradation degree, a ratio of a total electrical quantity chargeable or dischargeable of a battery at any time point to an initial electrical quantity that is a total electrical quantity chargeable or dischargeable of the battery upon non-degradation is computed, and by using the degradation degree, a state of charge or an open circuit voltage of the battery is accurately estimated.

Measuring device measures a terminal voltage of the battery in an open circuit state in a specific cycle after completion of a charge or discharge of the battery and collecting device collects the measured terminal voltage. Computing device computes a voltage value, to which a power approximation expression asymptotically approaches, as an assumed open circuit voltage of each time period from the collected terminal voltage, wherein the power approximation expression has an exponent of &minus;0.5 or about &minus;0.5 and is determined on the basis of the terminal voltage of each time period of a plurality of predetermined time periods. The assumed open circuit voltage of a time period, in which its difference from the assumed open circuit voltage of a neighboring time period becomes minimum, is estimated as an open circuit voltage.

Method and device for estimating open circuit voltage of battery

A charging efficiency, which is a ratio of an electrical quantity charged in a battery as an electromotive force to a total electrical quantity supplied to the battery, is computed at a plurality of measuring points between a start and an end of charging of the battery. A resistance difference of the battery between a resistance at the charge start point and a resistance at one of the measuring points is obtained, and a full charged state resistance is obtained at a full charged state of the battery. By using a ratio of the resistance difference to the full charged state resistance, a charging efficiency of the battery is computed at the one of the measuring points. The battery is in an active state where no passivating film is formed on poles of the battery. A charged electrical quantity of the battery is obtained based on the charging efficiencies sequentially obtained during the charging of the battery when the battery is in the active state. In the mean time, a charged electrical quantity of the battery is obtained based on an integration of a charging current multiplied by a corresponding charging time during a transition period in which a passivating film remains on the poles of the battery before the charging current sufficiently breaks the passivating film.

Method and unit for computing charging efficiency and charged electrical quantity of battery

A vehicle battery's open circuit voltage estimating method and a system therefor for relatively correctly estimating an open circuit voltage of a battery on a vehicle within a relatively short period after completion of the charge or the discharge also without a temperature correction is provided. A disconnected voltage measuring means - measures a disconnected voltage of the battery multiple times in a definite period of time after a predetermined period of time after completion of charge or discharge of the battery. An approximate expression determining means - determines a power approximate expression having a negative power number by using a difference value of the measured disconnected voltage and an assumed open circuit voltage. And, an arithmetic operation controlling means - makes the approximate expression determining means update the assumed open circuit voltage and determine the power approximate expression repeatedly until the power number of the determined power approximate expression becomes &minus;0.5 or about &minus;0.5, and the assumed open circuit voltage is estimated to be the open circuit voltage when the power number becomes &minus;0.5 or about &minus;0.5.
