A jumper chip component of the present invention includes a connection conductor formed of a conductive layer over an upper face and opposite side faces of an insulating substrate, and a conductive material formed of a conductive layer between plates of the insulating substrate and on a side face at the corner of the insulating substrate so as not to be electrically connected to the connection conductor. Since the conductive material formed between the plates of the insulating substrate opposes the connection conductor formed on the upper face of the insulating substrate, the connection conductor formed on the upper face of the insulating substrate and a second conductive pattern disposed under the insulating substrate are shielded from each other by the conductive material, and good isolation is possible.

The dielectric resonance device according to the present invention is constructed such that there are provided a column-shaped dielectric resonator and a column-shaped pedestal bonded to the undersurface of the dielectric resonator with the adhesive, for supporting the dielectric resonator, that on the joint surface between the pedestal and the dielectric resonator, there is provided an adhesive collecting recess so as not to reach a side of the pedestal, and that the joint surface and the undersurface of the dielectric resonator are bonded to each other with the adhesive. Therefore, the recess serves as a place for collecting the adhesive so that the adhesive which is squeezed out from between the joint surface and the undersurface of the dielectric resonator can be eliminated, making it possible to provide a dielectric resonance device with stabilized electric performance.

In a connection structure of a radio frequency circuit of the invention, a jumper line of a jumper member is positioned by an insulating base, and the jumper line has a base part that is located inside a cover to be electrically shielded and terminals that are protruded downward from a lower side of the insulating base. In a state that the jumper line of the jumper member intersects a third conductor, the terminals are inserted through a circuit board to be connected to first and second conductors. Therefore, the base part of the jumper line is electrically shielded by the cover, which achieves satisfactory RF characteristics.

Connection structure for radio frequency circuit that exceeds in RF characteristics

A radiation section of a dielectric feeder protrudes from an opening of a waveguide to improve the efficiency of receiving radio signals. An opening is provided at one end of the waveguide. A dielectric feeder held within the waveguide has a radiation section protruding from the opening. An annular wall having a bottom surrounds the opening of the waveguide. The depth of the annular wall is about &frac14; of the wavelength of radio waves, and the width of a bottom surface of the annular wall is about &frac16; to {fraction (1/10)} of the wavelength of the radio waves. Consequently, the phases of a surface current that flows from the opening toward the bottom surface of the annular wall and a surface current which flows from the bottom surface of the annular wall toward the open end are substantially out of phase. As a result, the side lobes of the received radio signals are greatly reduced, and the gain of the main lobe is increased, improving the reception of radio waves transmitted from a satellite.

An outdoor satellite broadcast receiving converter including a waveguide into which a broadcast electric wave enters and in which the broadcast electric wave travels in an axial direction as a first linearly polarized wave and a second linearly polarized wave. A first probe is disposed at a predetermined position and extends perpendicular to the axial direction into the waveguide for detecting the first linearly polarized wave. A substrate is disposed in the waveguide approximately 1/4 wavelength from the first probe and arranged to extend across an open end of the waveguide. A first shorting terminal for reflecting the first linearly polarized wave is formed on a first side of the substrate, and a second probe for detecting the second linearly polarized wave is formed on an opposing second side of the substrate. A metallic case is connected over the open end of the waveguide such that the substrate is positioned between a closed bottom of the metallic case and the first probe. The closed bottom of the metallic case is disposed about 1/4 wavelength from the substrate, and includes a second shorting terminal for reflecting the second linearly polarized wave.
