An image forming apparatus including a photosensitive drum, a development roller, a separation cam, a fixing device, an adjusting cam, a main motor, a separation gear train, a fixing gear train, and an adjusting gear train. The development roller is movable relative to the photosensitive drum between a contact position and a separate position. The adjusting cam switches a nip pressure of the fixing device between first and second pressures. The separation gear train transmits a driving force of the main motor to the separation cam. The fixing gear train transmits the driving force of the main motor received from the separation gear train to the fixing device. The adjusting gear train transmits the driving force of the main motor received from the separation gear train to the adjusting cam.

In an image forming apparatus, a development cartridge is movable between a contact position in which a development roller is in contact with a photosensitive drum and a separate position in which the development roller is separate from the photosensitive drum, by a cam and a cam follower that is caused to slide in directions parallel to a rotation axis of the cam between a push position in which the development cartridge is pushed by the cam and positioned in the separate position and a no-push position in which the development cartridge is in the contact position. The cam follower includes a first shaft and a contact arm extending from the first shaft and configured to contact a cam surface of the cam. A projection of the first shaft onto the first cam in a direction parallel to the rotation axis is positioned inside a contour of the first cam.

A drum frame includes a first regulating portion located between a transfer nip and a downstream end of a conveyance surface in a conveyance direction. The first regulating portion faces the conveyance surface from above the conveyance surface. The first regulating portion includes a first horizontal portion and a pair of first inclined portions. The first horizontal portion extends in a width direction perpendicular to the conveyance direction. The pair of first inclined portions extends from both ends of the first horizontal portion in the width direction. Each first inclined portion has one end adjacent to the first horizontal portion and an other end away from the one end in the width direction. Each first inclined portion is inclined to be closer to an endless belt from the one end toward the other end.

A steering system for a forklift truck having a tiltable steering column which rotatably supports a steering shaft carrying a steering wheel. The tiltable steering column is pivotally supported between its operative position and its rest position, about a pivot axis parallel to an axis of rotation of drive wheels of the truck. The system comprises: a biasing spring for biasing the steering column toward its rest position; an engaging member provided on the steering column; a locking member for locking the steering column in the operative position, the locking member being supported movably between its locking position and its unlocking position, and when placed in the locking position, engaging the engaging member of the steering column in the operative position; and an actuator associated with the locking member to move the locking member to the unlocking position and thereby permit the steering column to be pivoted to the rest position under a biasing action of the biasing spring.

The present invention relates to a shift lever mechanism for a transmission in a vehicle in which the driving mechanism is comprised of a differential case, a transmission case, a clutch housing and an engine which are connected respectively and characterized in that the first shifting fork shaft in the clutch is movably protruded through one wall portion of the transmission case, and connected to one end of a first connecting rod member, a first shift lever being connected to the other end portion of said first connecting rod member. The length of said rod member is greater than the lateral vibrational distance within the vehicle, so that the amount of vibration reaching the shift lever from the transmission is greatly reduced to improve ease of shifting and ensure a positive shift.
