The photo laboratory management system manages a photo laboratory utilizing a digital photo print system and includes an order entry function of receiving an order from a customer by receiving order information that includes at least identification information of the customer, a type and a form of an original image from the customer, a type, a form, and a number of copies of an output image ordered by the customer, an order management function of managing the order information received from the customer and a workflow management function of managing a schedule according to which the order received from the customer is to be processed, and predicting a time required for finishing the output image ordered by the customer. Productivity in the digital photo print system can be improved and order automation is possible. The time required to process the order can be automatically estimated.

Photo laboratory management system

There is disclosed an image synthesizing device that is provided with a mode switching device for switching over between an overlay mode and an inlay mode. In the overlay mode, image data of a subject image is input into a memory in a size corresponding to a designated print size of a composite image, and at least an additional image is overlaid on a predetermined portion of the subject image. So the composite image having a simple structure will be produced promptly in the overlay mode without the need for complicated operations. In the inlay mode, a mount area is defined in the memory in correspondence with a designated print size of a composite image, and the subject image and at least an additional image are inlaid in those ranges which are defined in variable sizes at appropriate locations within the mount area.

Image synthesizing apparatus

The method and apparatus processing photographic print represent a plurality of images arranged in a two-dimensional array on a display screen wherein images arranged at least in a one-dimensional direction in succession among the plurality of images are images processed states of which are gradually changed in at least one attribute of image proceeding and perform image verification based on the thus represented plurality of images. The method and apparatus are capable of enhancing efficiency and quality of verification by representing a plurality of images corresponding to changes of processing conditions at a time and comparing a plurality of the thus represented images with each other by an operator.

Method and apparatus for processing photographic print

The remote photographic processing system connects one or more photographic processing sites to a center having a database which stores a photographic printing condition at the photographic processing apparatus installed in each of the photographic processing sites via a communication line. The system then stores the photographic printing condition of previous printing such as simultaneous printing at each of the photographic processing sites. When each of the photographic processing sites which has received a request for later printing such as reprinting inquires the database in the center as to whether the photographic printing condition at the time of the previous printing corresponding to the request for the later printing is stored therein or not and catches that the photographic printing condition is stored, the request for the later printing is processed using the thus stored photographic printing condition. By using the remote photographic processing system, a photographic print having good reproducibility can be provided to a customer.

Remote photographic processing system

A radiation image read-out apparatus comprises an automatic developing machine for carrying out a developing process on silver halide film, on which a radiation image has been recorded as a latent image, while the silver halide film is being passed through the automatic developing machine. A film digitizer is connected to the automatic developing machine such that it may directly receive the silver halide film having been fed out of the automatic developing machine. The film digitizer photoelectrically reads out the radiation image, which has been converted into a visible image during the developing process, from the silver halide film and thereby generates an image signal representing the radiation image. The radiation image read-out apparatus is free of the problems in that considerable time and labor are required to set the film manually in the film digitizer, and the film becomes stained with finger marks, dust, or the like.
