A glass cutter is provided which can form, using a wheel, a uniform crack in glass even when a projection or an earlier-formed scribe line is present on the glass. When the wheel is moved on the glass, a fracture layer is formed causing a rib mark to be formed below the fracture layer and a crack to be formed below the rib mark. To cut the glass, the crack is required to be formed uniformly. Applying a force to resist the rotating force of the wheel makes it possible to form a uniform crack even when a projection is present on the glass. This improves glass cutting yield.

A distance between a liquid crystal display panel set on a lower support mechanism and a front window set on an upper support mechanism is accurately determined by a stopper. An ultraviolet irradiation mask is provided on the front window. A part of the ultraviolet curable resin corresponding to a transmission pattern of the ultraviolet irradiation mask is temporarily cured through ultraviolet irradiation. The temporarily adhered structure of the liquid crystal display panel and the front window is taken from an attachment device to be left standing for a predetermined time period on a tray until an area and a thickness of the ultraviolet curable resin reach respective predetermined values. The ultraviolet light is then irradiated to an entire surface of the ultraviolet curable resin to finalize the adhesion. The time for which the attachment device is occupied is short, thus improving an operation rate of the device.

A manufacturing method of a display device in which a transparent substrate is bonded with a display panel via an adhesive, including a coating step of coating the adhesive onto the display panel or the transparent substrate in a predetermined pattern, a bonding step of bonding the display panel and the transparent substrate via the adhesive after the coating step, and a curing step of curing the adhesive after the bonding step, characterized in that the adhesive has a viscosity of 2000 to 5000 mPa&#xb7;s at the coating step, the display panel and the transparent substrate are bonded via the adhesive in a reduced pressure atmosphere lower than the atmospheric pressure in a state where the adhesive coated at the coating step is spread and the size of bubble is 1 mm or less at maximum at the bonding step, and the adhesive is cured by applying ultraviolet ray at the curing step.
