In a TDMA communication system in which a base station communicates with a plurality of subscriber stations, communication time slots used in a wireless communication are allocated/arranged while avoiding an occurrence of interference. In the case that interference () occurs in a communication time slot () of a line () through which the communication is made from a subscriber station () to a base station (), interference information is registered into an interference time slot database () of the base station (). When the communication time slots are reallocated and rearranged, a TDMA control unit of the base station () executes the communication time slot reallocation/rearrangement by referring to information registered in the interference time slot database (), so that the occurrence of interference is avoided.

TDMA radio communication system, and a base station and subscriber stations for radio communication

In a radio communication system in which multiple access is carried out between a base station and a plurality of subscriber stations by a TDMA communication method, occurrence of the interference in the R channels through which the subscriber stations (to) issue a call request to the base station () can be detected precisely, and time slot arrangement of the R channels is changed by detecting the interference to thus avoid the interference.

Interference detection method and an interference avoidance method

A variable-capacitance device includes first and second variable-capacitance elements which are connected in parallel to each other. Each of the first and variable-capacitance elements include gate, source and drain regions and operates in response to a control voltage applied to the gate region. The first and second variable-capacitance elements have different levels of threshold values.

Variable-capacitance device and voltage-controlled oscillator

A slip-out preventive unit of a supply exhaust pipe assembly with a supply exhaust pipe forming a faucet at one end and forming an insertion port at the other end. The faucet having a cut window to allow the lock portion of a lock member to pass through the faucet to engage a circumferential groove of the insertion port. A slip-out prevention unit of which the lock member is a component, to guide and constrain the lock member to engage the circumferential groove, resulting in the holding of the insertion port within the faucet preventing unwanted separation after connection of the assembly. A slide guide allows movement of the lock member in an axial direction of the faucet where the tip of the lock member may be constrained from radial movement of the engagement portion of the lock member by a locking bag wall upon an attempt to separate the insert portion from the faucet. The insert portion being insertable and removable of the faucet when the lock member is in a withdrawn position relative to the locking bag wall, thus allowing the engagement portion of the lock member to be radially displaced by the end of the insertion port or the slope of the circumferential groove of the insert port as it is inserted or removed from the faucet respectively. The locking member being moved to its withdrawn position either by direct force acting upon the lock member from the insertion port as it is inserted into the faucet for connection of the unit, or by an external operator applied force against the lock member prior to removal of the insertion port from the faucet.

Slip-out preventive unit of supply exhaust pipe

When a signal is transmitted from an STM line to an ATM relay channel, the signal is compressed to be cell assembled into a cell. To the contrary, a signal from the ATM relay channel is cell disassembled into separate data and then expanded. In cases where signals are exchanged between ATM relay channels, a multistage relay device does not repeatedly execute signal compression/expansion to the signal. Switching for the above operations is achieved, utilizing a signal pattern inserted into audio data. With this arrangement, an audio one-link operation is established in the environment where an STM and an ATM coexist. Because compression/expansion processes are not repeatedly conducted, delay in relaying is avoided.

Multistage relay device

The present invention provides a transmission line encoding/decoding system wherein encoding is effected in such a manner that an overhead bit which indicates whether or not a slot, all the bits of which are '0' bits (hereinafter referred to as an all-'0' slot), is present among a plurality of slots constituting in combination one block and is set in a predetermined slot in the block, and if there are all-'0' slots, a slot information bit which indicates the slot position of at least one all-'0' slot is set and at least one all-'0' slot the position of which is indicated by the slot information bit is deleted, and wherein decoding is effected in such a manner that whether or not an all-'0' slot was present in one block before the encoding process is judged on the basis of an overhead bit set at a predetermined position in the block of the received data, and if it is judged that there was an all-'0' slot, the slot information bit indicating the slot position of the all-'0' slot that has been set in the received block is removed and an all-'0' slot is reconstructed at the position indicated by the slot information bit.

Transmission line encoding/decoding system

A picture extracting apparatus and method extract picture signals of a picture area bounded by a black frame from a film such as a microfilm or an ultramicrofilm where the black frame is applied in the upper, lower, left and right borders. More specifically, a CPU (9) determines the upper and lower black frame portions based on the number of 'black' picture signals for each scanning line of a film counted by a counter (4) and specifies the associated scanning lines. In response to the change in the picture signals from 'black' to 'white' and from 'white' to 'black' on the specified scanning lines, the left and right black frame portions are determined and the respective addresses of the rear and front edges of these picture signals are specified by a rear edge register (5) and a front edge register (6). A gate circuit (3) passes therethrough only the picture signals between the addresses of the specified scanning lines to extract the picture signals of the picture area bounded by the black frame.
