The lock control system of the present invention makes it possible to perform lock control of a working machine both by remote actuation and by local actuation, so that the convenience of use and so on is enhanced. A lock setting deviceis provided to the working machine. The lock setting deviceis provided with a user password storage unit, a manager password storage unit, and a one-time password storage unit. The user is able to perform lock setting and release by local actuation using the user password. A maintenance person is able to perform lock setting and release by local actuation using the one-time password. And lock setting and release can also be performed by remote actuation via a satellite communication network. It is possible to perform lock setting and release by selecting the appropriate method for each individual scenario.

An apparatus for detecting a property of fuel detects the property of fuel at the time of fuel supply. A measuring chamber member is provided to a fuel tank. The greater portion of fuel supplied from a fuel supply nozzle falls down from a fuel supply aperture via a flow outlet into the fuel tank. However, a part of the fuel remains in a measuring space defined between a portion below the flow outlet and a bottom portion. A fuel property detection sensor is fitted to a main body so as to oppose the measuring space. When application of a cap to the fuel supply aperture has been detected by a fuel supply cap sensor, if increase of the remaining fuel amount has been detected by a remaining fuel amount sensor, or if the engine is started, a controller measures the property of the fuel with the fuel property detection sensor.

A lock control device () of a working machine () includes: a stop operation detection means () which detects that a predetermined stop operation has been performed by the working machine (); a time period length measurement means () which measures the time period length from when it has been detected that the predetermined stop operation has been performed, to the present; and a lock setting means () which: if the time period length which has been measured is within a predetermined time period length, without locking the working machine, makes it possible to restart it without a password; and, if the time period length which has been measured is greater than the predetermined time period length, locks the working machine (), and makes restarting possible upon password input.

A server () enables users (A-B) sharing the same working machine () to mutually monitor a usage state by each user. The server () receives a user ID, the working time, the engine cooling water temperature, and the current position that are detected in the working machine () through a satellite communication network, and calculates the usage time, the usage location, the load amount, and a usage proportion for each user. Communications are performed between a mobile unit and a terminal device. The mobile unit is provided with a communication device that is capable of communicating with the terminal device if it is connected electrically with a power supply. When an engine key switch signal is off, the electrical connection between the power supply and the communication device is turned on and off intermittently.

As a result, the amount of time the construction machinewas operated by the driver A is displayed on the terminal, and the work machinecan be managed on the basis of this display content.
