A cylindrical battery including an electrode body in which a positive electrode plate and a negative electrode plate with a separator between the electrodes are wound; an electrolyte; a bottomed cylindrical exterior can that houses the electrode body and the electrolyte; and an opening sealing body. The opening sealing body includes a terminal cap, a valve disc included in a current cut-off mechanism, and a washer having an opening at a center, interposed between the terminal cap and the valve disc, the washer has a recessed section formed in surroundings of the opening and a planar section disposed in surroundings of the recessed section on each of surfaces at both ends in a thickness direction of the washer, and boundary lines each between the recessed section and the planar section of each of the surfaces of the washer are arranged to be overlapped with each other in the thickness direction.

Cylindrical battery

An object of the present disclosure is to provide a high-endurance and long-life nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery including a battery case having sealing performance unlikely to be degraded. A nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery according to an aspect of the present disclosure includes a closed-end cylindrical outer can, a sealing body that closes an opening of the outer can, a resin gasket disposed between the outer can and the sealing body, a sealing member interposed between the outer can and the gasket, and a nonaqueous electrolyte. The sealing member has a multilayer structure including a first sealing member layer, the main constituent of which is one selected from butadiene rubber, urethane rubber, silicone rubber, chloroprene rubber, and isoprene rubber, and a second sealing member layer, the main constituent of which is one selected from ethylene propylene rubber, ethylene propylene diene rubber, and fluoro rubber.

Nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery

A cylindrical battery with an electrode body in which a negative electrode plate and a positive electrode plate connected to a plurality of positive electrode leads are rolled with a separator interposed therebetween, a first insulating plate disposed on the electrode body, a current-collection plate disposed on the first insulating plate, a second insulating plate disposed in contact with an opposite surface of the current-collection plate that opposes the first insulating plate, a sealing body, and an outer jacket can, wherein the first insulating plate has at least one through hole, the first positive electrode lead passes through the through hole and between the first insulating plate and the second insulating plate, is bent from the outer-circumference portion of the current-collection plate onto the current-collection plate and the second insulating plate is provided with a recessed portion to house the first positive electrode lead.

A cylindrical battery including an electrode body in which a negative electrode plate and a positive electrode plate to which a plurality of positive electrode leads is connected are wound with a separator interposed therebetween; an upper insulating plate disposed on the electrode body; a positive electrode current collector plate disposed on the upper insulating plate; a sealing body; and an outer can. A first positive electrode lead extends between the upper insulating plate and the current collector plate after passing through a through-hole of the upper insulating plate and is bent onto the current collector plate at an outer circumference portion thereof, and a second positive electrode lead extends along the outside of an outer circumference portion of the upper insulating plate and is bent onto the current collector plate at the outer circumference portion thereof. Those positive electrode leads are all connected to the current collector plate.

A cylindrical battery according to one aspect of the present invention includes an electrode body in which a negative electrode plate and a positive electrode plate to which a plurality of positive electrode leads is connected are wound with a separator interposed therebetween; an electrolyte liquid; a cylindrical outer can having a bottom portion which receives the electrode body and the electrolyte liquid; and a sealing body sealing an open portion of the outer can. The positive electrode leads extend along an outer circumference portion of a collector member disposed on the electrode body and are connected to a surface of the collector member at an outer side of the battery. The collector member includes a collector plate to which the positive electrode leads are connected and a first insulating plate fitted to a surface of the collector plate at an inner side of the battery.

Cylindrical battery, and collector member used therefor, and manufacturing method thereof

A sealing body of a battery includes a positive electrode cap, a safety valve electrically connected to the positive electrode cap, a plurality of protrusions that are disposed annularly and intermittently on the outer peripheral side of a conductive contact part of the safety valve and that are each formed so as to be inclined toward the center of the sealing body, and an insulating member that covers at least top parts of the plurality of protrusions, side surfaces thereof on the center side, and a surface of the safety valve on the center side, that is fitted to the center side of the plurality of protrusions, whose vertical sectional shape is bent in a Z-shape. A terminal plate is fitted and fixed to the center side of the insulating member and is connected by welding to the conductive contact portion through a central opening of the insulating member.

Cylindrical secondary battery and method for manufacturing same

A sealing body according to the present invention is sealing body for a sealed battery including conductive terminal cap, a conductive explosion-proof valve electrically connected to the terminal cap, a conductive terminal plate having an abutting surface abutting the explosion-proof valve, and an insulating plate disposed between the explosion-proof valve and the terminal plate. A welded part between the explosion-proof valve and the terminal plate is formed in the inner part of the abutting surface, and the plan-view shape of the welded part is a shape defining an enclosed region, a C-shape, or a spiral shape. A notch part surrounding the welded part is formed in the terminal plate. The breaking pressure of the welded part is higher than the breaking pressure of the notch part.

Sealing body for sealed battery and sealed battery

A sealed cell has a sealing body with a space-saving safety valve that has excellent safety. The sealing body includes a terminal cap and a safety valve. The terminal cap includes one or more gas releasing holes for releasing a gas from inside to outside of the cell. The gas releasing holes are provided in the external terminal. A safety valve includes a conductive contact portion projecting toward an inside of the sealed cell, a peripheral portion in a periphery of the conductive contact portion, and one or more break grooves formed radially in the peripheral portion. At least one of the gas releasing holes overlap with at least one of break grooves in planar view of the sealed cell.

Sealed cell with terminal cap and safety valve

A sealed cell includes a sealing body that includes an iron-based terminal cap and an aluminum-based safety valve. The terminal cap includes an external terminal, a flange in a periphery of the external terminal, and a hole in the flange. The hole has a diameter smaller on an inner side than on an outer side of the sealed cell. The safety valve includes a conductive contact portion projecting toward an inside of the sealed cell, a peripheral portion in a periphery of the conductive contact portion, and a pin projection in the peripheral portion. The sealed cell has a riveted portion in which the pin projection and the hole of the terminal cap together are riveted by inserting the pin projection into the hole and crushing a tip of the pin projection. A diameter of the terminal cap is larger than a diameter of the safety valve.

Sealed cell

A sealed battery according to the present invention includes a sealing bodyA having a terminal cap' made of an iron-based material and a safety valvemade of an aluminum-based material. In the sealing bodyA, at least one of the flange of the terminal cap&#x2032; and the flange of the safety valvehas a portion defining a space. The flanges of the terminal cap and of the safety valve are welded at a position corresponding to the space with high-energy rays. It is thus possible to provide the sealed battery including the sealing body having a current interrupt function in which resistance between the terminal cap and the safety valve is kept low, thereby being suitable for large-current applications.
