According to one embodiment, a display device includes a liquid crystal panel and a color separation element substrate. The substrate includes a bonding area in a peripheral portion of a surface opposing the panel, and a color separation groove that serves as a color separation element is formed in an effective display area inside the bonding area. The panel includes a bonding area in a peripheral portion of the substrate on an incident surface side of the backlight, and a polarizer is disposed on an inner side the bonding area. The bonding area of the substrate and the bonding area of the panel are bonded to each other via a sealant layer formed from a sealant applied thereon and cured.

According to one embodiment, a display device includes, a first insulating substrate including a first surface and a second surface, a first light emitting element disposed on the second surface, a second insulating substrate including a third surface and a fourth surface, and a second light emitting element disposed on the second insulating substrate, wherein the second insulating substrate includes a first concave portion in the third surface, at least a part of the first light emitting element is positioned inside the first concave portion, and at least a part of the second light emitting element is positioned inside the second concave portion.

According to one embodiment, in a display device, a display substrate includes color filters of a plurality of colors arranged in a display area. The color filters are arranged in different colors alternately in a first direction and the same colors in a second direction orthogonal to the first direction. A first separation substrate separates wavelength light from received backlight according to the arrangement of the colors in the first direction, and outputs the separated light to a second separation substrate. The second separation substrate separates wavelength light from the received light from the first separation substrate according to the color of each row in the second direction, and outputs the separated light to the display substrate.

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a liquid crystal display substrate and a color separation element substrate. The display substrate has a stripe structure in which different color filters are alternately arranged in a display area along a first direction and the same color filters are arranged along a second direction orthogonal to the first direction, and the different color filters are compartmentalized by frames along the first direction and the second direction. The element substrate has color separation grooves formed along the first direction in the display area, and grooves formed along the second direction in a region thereof where the color separation grooves are formed, so as to oppose the frame of the display substrate.

According to one embodiment, a detection device includes a base, a sensor electrode provided on the base, the sensor electrode bending in a planar view, an insulating layer on the sensor electrode, and a projection provided on the insulating layer, wherein the sensor electrode is apart from the projection in a planar view.

A detection device includes a substrate, a plurality of drive electrodes disposed at the substrate, each extending in a first direction, and arranged in a second direction intersecting the first direction, and a plurality of detection electrodes opposed to the drive electrodes, each extending in the second direction, and arranged in the first direction. Each of the drive electrodes and the detection electrodes has a plurality of superimposed portions and a connecting portion connecting the superimposed portions, one of the superimposed portions of one of the drive electrodes and one of the superimposed portions of one of the detection electrodes are superimposed over each other and extend linearly in a same direction, and in a planar view from a direction perpendicular to the substrate, some of the superimposed portions and some of the connection portions form a first closed region closed annularly.

According to one embodiment, a display device includes a display panel, a first wiring board mounted on the display panel, and a backlight unit located on a back surface side of the display panel to illuminate the display panel. The backlight unit includes a casing which includes a bottom plate including a first slit and a side plate standing at the bottom plate, and a light guide arranged in the casing. The first wiring board passes between the side plate and the light guide and through the first slit and is bent toward a back surface side of the casing.
