A vehicle drive system includes: a case accommodating a first rotary electric machine and a second rotary electric machine that are arranged to have respective rotational axes parallel to each other and to be radially adjacent to each other; and a power control device configured to control the first rotary electric machine and the second rotary electric machine. The case includes a peripheral wall portion surrounding the first rotary electric machine and the second rotary electric machine, and the power control device is mounted in a mounting section provided on an outer peripheral surface of the peripheral wall portion. A lower part of the power control device is located in a space surrounded by a line connecting a first cross point, and a second cross point, the first rotary electric machine and the second rotary electric machine.

Vehicle drive system

Positive and negative power terminals protrude from a power terminal arrangement surface not facing a capacitor element. Positive and negative electrode bus bars gather with each other after at least one of them extends along a non-electrode surface of the capacitor element, and then run side by side in a bus bar parallel running section. The positive electrode bus bar runs in parallel with the negative electrode bus bar in the bus bar parallel running section, and then extends along the positive power terminal from the proximal end of the positive power terminal to the distal end thereof. The negative electrode bus bar runs in parallel with the positive electrode bus bar in the bus bar parallel running section, and then extends along the negative power terminal from the proximal end of the negative power terminal to the distal end thereof.

Power converter

A vehicle driving device includes a case that accommodates therein a first rotary electric machine and a second rotary electric machine arranged with rotation axes thereof parallel to each other and radially adjacent to each other, and a power control device that controls electric power supplied to the first rotary electric machine and the second rotary electric machine. In the power control device, a control board, a power card and a cooler, a reactor and a capacitor, and a water jacket are disposed in order from top in a height direction.

Vehicle driving device

A front compartment is provided with an engine, an air cleaner, a radiator, a reservoir tank, a motor unit, an auxiliary battery, and an EFI-ECU. The engine, the reservoir tank, the motor unit and the EFI-ECU are aligned in a vehicle's width direction. The air cleaner and the auxiliary battery are also aligned in the vehicle's width direction. The air cleaner is located in front of the motor unit. The motor unit includes a power control unit and a transaxle. The air cleaner is located in front of the power control unit. The auxiliary battery is located diagonally forward to left of the motor unit.

Layout structure for front compartment of hybrid vehicle

A powertrain system includes an electric motor for driving a vehicle; a battery; an internal combustion engine; an electric generator; a motor inverter connected in parallel to the battery, and converting DC electric power of the battery into AC electric power and supplying it to the electric motor; a generator inverter connected in parallel to the battery, and converting AC electric power generated by the electric generator into DC electric power and supplying it to the battery; and a control device. The control device is configured, where a charging rate of the battery is not greater than a first threshold value, and a ripple current that is generated in association with an operation of the motor inverter and flows into the battery is not less than a second threshold value, not to start up the internal combustion engine for electric power generation using the electric generator.

Powertrain system

A diagnostic device for a current sensor disclosed herein may include an AC power calculation unit, a DC power calculation unit, and a determination unit. The AC power calculation unit may be configured to calculate AC power outputted from the inverter based on a measurement value measured by the current sensor. The DC power calculation unit may be configured to calculate DC power outputted from a DC power source that supplies power to the inverter. The determination unit may be configured to output a signal for notifying occurrence of an abnormality of the current sensor in a case where a difference between the calculated AC power and the calculated DC power is larger than a predetermined threshold.

Diagnostic device for current sensor

A power converter may include four power modules and a bus bar connecting the four power modules, wherein the bus bar may include: a first bus bar piece connecting a negative terminal of a first power module and a positive terminal of a second power module adjacent to the first power module; a second bus bar piece connecting a negative terminal of a third power module and a positive terminal of a fourth power module adjacent to the third power module; and a plurality of connecting bus bar pieces connecting the first bus bar piece and the second bus bar piece. At least one of the connecting bus bar pieces may connect a center of the first bus bar piece and a center of the second bus bar piece.

A washer-equipped screw is provided with a screw body, a metal washer, and a rubber washer. The screw body includes a cylindrical portion between a shaft portion on which a screw groove is formed and a head portion. A hole in the metal washer is inserted through the cylindrical portion so as to be adjacent to the head portion. A hole in the rubber washer is inserted through the cylindrical portion and positioned on a shaft portion side of the metal washer. A seat surface of the head portion has an inclined surface inclined away from the metal washer toward an outer periphery thereof.

Washer-equipped screw

A washer-equipped screw is provided with a screw body, a flat washer, and a rubber washer. The screw body includes a cylindrical portion between a shaft portion on which a screw groove is formed and a head portion. A hole in the flat washer is inserted through the cylindrical portion so as to be adjacent to the head portion. A hole in the rubber washer is inserted through the cylindrical portion and positioned on a shaft portion side of the flat washer. The cylindrical portion is provided with a projection for engagingly locking the flat washer. An inner edge of the flat washer is caught by the projection, whereby the flat washer is prevented from detaching.

A structure of mounting an electric device in a front compartment of a vehicle is disclosed. The structure may include: a casing being divided into a first and a second casing; a first and a second through hole provided in the first casing; a first and a second fixing hole provided in the second casing; a first fastening member passing through the first through hole and fixed to the first fixing hole; and a second fastening member passing through the second through hole and fixed to the second fixing hole. The first through hole is located at a far side of the first casing with a vehicle's center line and located at a front half of the first casing. The second through hole is located at a closer side and a rear half of the first casing.

Structure of mounting electric device in front compartment of vehicle

A power converter may include a first and second housings, each of which houses switching elements connected in parallel. Each of the first and the second housings may be provided with a first surface and a second surface. The first and the second housings may be arranged face to face. In each of the first and the second housings, the switching elements may be aligned in an alignment direction which is parallel to both of the first and the second surfaces. An emitter terminal or a source terminal of parallel connection of the switching elements may extend from the second surface at a position equidistant from the switching elements positioned at both ends in the alignment direction among the plurality of switching elements. A collector terminal or a drain terminal of the parallel connection may be positioned adjacent to the emitter or the source terminal in the alignment direction.

A power converter disclosed herein may include power conversion circuits connected in parallel and a cutoff switch provided in each of the power conversion circuits. The cutoff switch may be configured to cut off connection of corresponding one of the power conversion circuits from other power conversion circuit. In the power converter disclosed herein, the cutoff switches of the power conversion circuits may be housed in a first module.

A mounting structure for a power converter in a vehicle is provided. The power converter includes a plurality of voltage converter circuits connected in parallel, and each of the plurality of voltage converter circuits includes a reactor, in which the power converter includes: a main body containing at least one of the reactors and a switching device of the voltage converter circuits; and a sub-body containing remaining reactors, the sub-body being electrically connected to the main body by a cable. The main body is fixed to a vehicle body via a bracket in a front compartment such that a gap is provided below the main body, and the sub-body is connected to a lateral side of the main body in a vehicle width direction such that a front end of the sub-body aligns with a front end of the main body.

Mounting structure for power converter in vehicle

A case for an in-vehicle electronic device is placed in an inclined manner on a top face of a transmission such that at least part of a front side of the case is lower than at least side of a rear side of the case. The case includes a first case, a second case and a rib. The first case is configured to be attached to the top face of the transmission. The second case is attached to a top face of the first case. The rib is on a lower part of a rear face of the second case and includes a top face. The rib extends in a crosswise direction along the lower part of the rear face of the second case toward opposite side faces of the second case. The top face of the rib is inclined downward relative to a horizontal plane toward the rear side of the case.

Case for in-vehicle electronic device and vehicle

A connector structure of electrical equipment is for electrically connecting a PCU with a wire, including a waterproof cover having a projection formed at a position adjacent to a recess, a connector provided on a bottom surface of the recess and electrically connected to a control board provided in a casing, and a connector to be fitted to connector from outside of the casing. Connector is formed to include a fitting member to be fitted in connector, and a turn lever, pivotally supported to be rotatable about the fitting member and having a projection to be aligned with the projection when the fitting member is correctly fit in the connector.
