A thrust bearing device includes: a thrust collar having a drive shaft, the thrust collar including a flange portion extending radially outward of the drive shaft; and a thrust member penetrated by the thrust collar and including a pad portion. The pad portion includes: a plurality of land portions which are parallel to a plane orthogonal an axis of the drive shaft and are disposed at intervals in a circumferential direction of the drive shaft; and tapered portions each of which is disposed between adjacent land portions among the plurality of land portions, joined via a step to a boundary of one land portion in the circumferential direction of the drive shaft, and joined continuously to a boundary of another land portion. Each of the land portions has a circumferential groove which is longer in the circumferential direction than in a radial direction of the drive shaft.

A turbocharger is provided with: a rotational shaft; a rolling bearing rotatably supporting the rotational shaft; an oil film damper disposed radially outward of an outer ring of the rolling bearing; and a housing having a first axial retaining portion and a second axial retaining portion, disposed adjacent to both ends of the oil film damper in the axial direction, respectively, for restricting movement of the outer ring in the axial direction. An axial end surface of the outer ring, or a facing surface of the first axial retaining portion or the second axial retaining portion facing the axial end surface of the outer ring has: a coefficient of static friction smaller than that of a portion of the housing excluding the first axial retaining portion and the second axial retaining portion; or has a recess where oil of the oil film damper can enter.

A bearing device includes: a rotary shaft being rotatable around an axis; a bearing pad that supports an outer peripheral surface of the rotary shaft; a nozzle that is disposed on an upstream side of the bearing pad in a rotational direction of the rotation shaft and has a supply hole; a pair of side plates that face the outer circumferential surface of the rotation shaft on an upstream side of the nozzle in the rotational direction and are disposed on both sides of the nozzle in the axial direction, the pair of side plates having a discharge hole; and a guide surface that faces the upstream side in the rotation direction and extends in the axial direction over an entire length of the bearing pad in the axial direction, wherein the guide surface is circumferentially positioned between the supply hole and the discharge hole.

The present invention comprises: a rotating shaft; a thrust bearing that is provided to the rotating shaft and restricts the axial-direction movement of the rotating shaft; and an oil reservoir part () that has formed therein an oil reservoir space () that is provided to be adjacent to the thrust bearing in the axial direction and to open downward, the oil reservoir space () having formed therein an inclined surface () that, in a region that is in and below a horizontal plane H that passes through the center of the rotating shaft, protrudes to the thrust bearing side and is inclined along the rotational direction of the rotating shaft.

A tilting pad journal bearing manufacturing method includes a first process and a second process. In the first process, a pivot fitting hole is formed on a convex curved outer circumferential surface of the tilting pad. A rolling bearing includes an outer ring supported by a fixed body, an inner ring which supports a rotating shaft, and rolling elements between an inner groove of the outer ring and an outer groove of the inner ring, wherein a curvature radius R of at least the inner groove of the outer ring is in a range of 2r&#xd7;0.53&#x2264;R&#x2264;2r&#xd7;0.55 in relation to a radius r of one of the rolling elements.

A ratio of an oil feeding pressure for oil at an outlet of the compressor-side oil feeding passage to an oil feeding pressure for oil at an outlet of the turbine-side oil feeding passage is configured to be higher than 1.0 and lower than 1.5.

A bearing device for a turbocharger according to one embodiment of the present invention includes: a rotational shaft; a journal bearing device including a compressor-side journal bearing and a turbine-side journal bearing; a bearing housing including a compressor-side bearing supporting portion, a turbine-side bearing supporting portion, and a bearing housing main body; and a lubricant oil guide member extending along a circumference direction of the rotational shaft, at an outer circumference side of at least one of the compressor-side bearing supporting portion and the turbine-side bearing supporting portion. Planetary bearing structure

In a planetary bearing structure equipped with a slide bearing mounted to a shaft hole of a planetary gear, the planetary gear rotating about the outer periphery of a planetary pin fixed to a carrier via the slide bearing, one or a plurality of oil supply grooves are formed in the outer peripheral surface of the planetary pin so as to extend in the axial direction. An oil supply port of a lubricant oil channel opens in the oil supply groove so as to forcedly supply lubricant oil. Furthermore, a discharge groove for trapping foreign matter, which is shallower than the oil supply groove, communicates from the oil supply groove to the wake flow side in the rotating direction of the planetary gear.
