In a bored headrest, a garnish includes a front garnish and a rear garnish that are attached to a through-hole of a skin member in front and rear directions of the through-hole to seal an opening. The front garnish has a first holding portion that can hold a first skin edge portion, and a first connecting portion formed at a near side to the rear garnish. The rear garnish has a second holding portion which can hold a second skin edge portion, and a second connecting portion formed at a near side to the front garnish. The rear garnish has a second connecting portion. Therefore, a bored headrest is provided having a high quality of appearance and whose quality of appearance can be kept constant.

A trim cover attachment member of a vehicle seat, being attached to an end portion of a trim cover, and being engaged with an engaging portion provided at a seat frame of the vehicle seat, comprises: an attachment portion to which the end portion of the trim cover is attached; a hook portion having a hook on an upper end thereof, the hook being engaged with the engaging portion, the hook portion being disposed generally in opposite to the attachment portion; and a bottom portion for connecting a bottom end of the attachment portion and a bottom end of the hook portion. A cut-out portion is formed at a portion of the upper end of the hook portion, and an opening portion is formed at a portion of the attachment portion, in a portion of the trim cover attachment member corresponding to a corner portion of the vehicle seat.

In a method of manufacturing a seat by using adhesives in which an air permeable skin material and a cushioning pad are bonded to each other by means of reactive hot-melt adhesives, the method comprises a step of coating adhesives to the cushioning pad, a step of provisionally assembling the skin material to the cushioning pad from the side of the adhesive coating surface, a step of setting the provisionally assembled cushioning pad and skin material to an attaching die, a step of applying heating by a heating die to the skin material and the cushioning pad attached in the attaching die assembling step from the side of the skin material and a step of applying cooling under pressure by a cooling die from the surface of the skin material subsequent to the heating step. A seat comprising a skin material and a cushioning pad can be molded with a seat frame by this method. It enables easy positioning, bonding of the skin material even to a deep recess of the cushioning pad, shortening the molding cycle, and keeping the raised skin material intact.

Method of manufacturing a seat using adhesive

The present invention provides a method of manufacturing a seat comprising a skin material, a cushioning pad and a seat frame by bonding the skin material and the cushioning pad to each other by using a reactive hot melt adhesive, wherein the method comprises a step of coating an adhesive to the cushioning pad, a step of assembling the seat frame to an attaching die in which a movable press bonding plate is disposed, a step of attaching a cushioning pad to the seat frame assembled to the attaching die, provisionally assembling the skin material to the surface of the cushioning pad on the side of coating the adhesive and then moving the press bonding plate thereby arranging the seat frame, the cushioning pad and the skin material on an attaching die main body, a step of applying heating by a heating die from the side of the skin material attached in the assembling step and a cooling/press bonding step of applying cooling under pressure after the heating step by a cooling die from the surface of the skin material to the attaching die.
