An odor eliminating cloth according to this invention is characterized in that an odor eliminating composition containing a porous inorganic substance, a metallic oxide, and an inorganic silicon compound carrying a polyamine compound is fixed to at least a part of a cloth by means of a binder resin. With this odor eliminating cloth, any types of odors of basic gases, acidic gases, neutral gases, sulphur series gases contained in the air of a room can be effectively eliminated.

A cationized supporting materialis immersed into a treatment solution containing a level dyeing agent, and then immersed into a treatment solution containing a metal phthalocyanine complex and then dried to thereby obtain an odor eliminating material. Alternatively, a cationized supporting materialis immersed into a treatment solution containing a metal phthalocyanine complex and a migration inhibitor and then dried to thereby obtain an odor eliminating material. The odor eliminating material exerts excellent odor elimination performance against ammonia, hydrogen sulfide, methyl mercaptan, acetic acid and acetaldehyde.

Odor eliminating material and manufacturing method thereof

A carpet carrying a deodorant that is resistant to washing and wear and thus capable of maintaining its deodorizing function for a long time without impairing the drape and tint of the carpet. The carpet has a backing layer and a fiber layer formed on one side of the backing layer. A deodorant is carried partially on the backing layer and partially on the fiber layer with the weight ratio of the deodorant carried on the fiber layer to the deodorant carried on the backing being 50:50 to 5:95.
