Ultraviolet-radiation absorbing glass product

An ultraviolet light absorbing glass according to the present invention includes 1.6% or more of t-FeO, more than 1.0% of TiO, and 0.016% or more of CoO. The ultraviolet light absorbing glass has t-FeO/TiOof 1.2 or more, and an ultraviolet light transmittance (TUV400) at a sheet thickness of 3.1 mm of 2.0% or less, a ratio of visible light transmittance (TVA)/TUV400 of 10 or more, and a dominant wavelength (&#x3bb;D) of 555 nm or less.

Ultraviolet light absorbing glass

A glass sheet contains, as represented by mass percentage based on oxides, SiO: 65-75%, AlO: 0-20%, MgO: 0-5%, CaO: 2-20%, NaO: 5-20%, KO: 0-10%, total iron in terms of FeO(t-FeO): 0.2-1.0%, TiO: 0.65-1.5%, and CeO: 0.1-2.0%. A ratio of the content of MgO to RO is 0.20 or less, where RO is a total amount of MgO, CaO, SrO and BaO. Fe-redox is from 30 to 57%. The glass sheet has a visible light transmittance Tv_A of 65% or more, a solar transmittance Te of 50% or less, and a dominant wavelength Dw of transmitted light of from 508 to 580 nm, in terms of a 3.9-mm thickness of the glass sheet. A value of A=([t-FeO]&#xd7;Fe-redox)/[TiO] is from 20 to 40, where [t-FeO] is the content of t-FeOand [TiO] is the content of TiO.

Glass plate

The purpose of the present invention is to provide an ultraviolet-absorbent glass that is suitable as a dark gray glass, that has a very low ultraviolet transmittance (TUV), and that has excellent color rendering properties for green. The present invention relates to an ultraviolet-absorbent glass in which: the ultraviolet transmittance (TUV) as defined in ISO 9050:2003 is 2% or less for a thickness of 2.8 mm; the visible light transmittance (TVA) based on a standard A light source is 10% to 30% inclusive for a thickness of 2.8 mm; the energy transmittance (TE) as defined in JIS R 3106:1998 is 30% or less for a thickness of 2.8 mm; a ratio R14/R9 for color rendering indices as defined in ISO 9050:1990 and JIS Z 8726:1990 is 1.8 or greater; and a ratio R14/R1 is 1.05 or greater.

Ultraviolet-absorbent glass

Disclosed is an ultraviolet-absorbing glass article comprising a glass matrix composition including, in mass % in terms of oxide contents, 66-75% SiO, 10-20% NaO, 5-15% CaO, 0-6% MgO, 0-5% AlO, 0-5% KO, at least 0.8% to less than 2.4% total iron content in terms of FeO(t-FeO), 0-0.01% CrO, 0.02-0.04% CoO, 0.0005-0.0045% Se, and greater than 0% to at most 1% TiO, wherein: the amount of redox is from 20% to 30% inclusive; redox, t-FeO, and TiOsatisfy a predetermined relationship; and t-FeO, CrO, CoO, and Se satisfy a predetermined relationship.

Ultraviolet-absorbing glass article

The present invention relates to an ultraviolet-absorbing glass article containing, as represented by mass % based on oxides, as a glass matrix composition: SiO: 66 to 75%, NaO: 10 to 20%, CaO: 5 to 15%, MgO: 0 to 6%, AlO: 0 to 5%, KO: 0 to 5%, FeO: 0.2 to 1.2%, total iron as represented by FeO: 2.4 to 4%, and TiO: more than 0% and 1% or less, containing from 50 to 400 mass ppm of CoO, containing from 0 to 70 mass ppm of Se, containing from 0 to 800 mass ppm of CrO, having a total content of CoO, Se and CrOof less than 0.1 mass %, and having an ultraviolet transmittance (TUV) (ISO9050:2003) of 2% or less at a thickness of 3.5 mm.

An ultraviolet absorbing glass article comprising, as a glass matrix composition in mass % based on oxides, from 66 to 75% of SiO, from 10 to 20% of NaO, from 5 to 15% of CaO, from 0 to 6% of MgO, from 0 to 5% of AlO, from 0 to 5% of KO, from 0.13 to 0.9% of FeO, at least 0.8% and less than 2.4% of total iron as represented by FeO, and more than 1% and at most 5% of TiO, containing from 100 to 500 mass ppm of CoO, from 0 to 70 mass ppm of Se and from 0 to 800 mass ppm of CrOin a total content of CoO, Se and CrOof less than 0.1 mass % based on the total content of components in the glass matrix composition, and having an ultraviolet transmittance of at most 2% at a thickness of 3.5 mm.
