A film loading method of an image forming apparatus, includes: loading an endless film which was stored in a container box, using at least two support members, to a film frame of the image forming apparatus, wherein the film is supported by the support members in a different form with respect to a condition of the film when loaded and fitted to the film frame. The support members are initially stored in the container box and serve as a packaging member for use in transporting and storing the film. The support members are attached to respective portions of the film frame and guide the film to be loaded and fitted onto the film frame. The film frame includes holding rollers, and the support members are attached to the respective portions of the film frame, coaxially with the holding rollers.

Film loader for an image forming apparatus

A film loader for the image forming apparatus has a film formed endlessly and a film frame for holding the film, wherein a guide member for attaching or detaching the film with respect to the film loading portion of the film frame is formed by a packaging member for use in transporting and storing the film.

A printing system has a first printer apparatus for forming an image on a first plane of a web having no feed holes and a second printer apparatus provided at a post stage following the first printer apparatus for forming an image on a second plane of said web. The first printer apparatus (P ) is operable to form a position-alignment mark (Rm) at a predesignated position on each page of a web. This position-alignment mark is detected by mark detection means of the second printer apparatus (P ). Control means is provided for controlling the web transport speed so that both the generation timing of a web feed control signal (CPF-N signal) being generated with preset cyclic periods and the generation timing of a mark detection signal issued from the mark detection means through detection of the position-alignment mark are kept constant in phase.

A printer has a web handling unit that includes a web conditioning device for providing fixed control of the moisture within the web being fed, a skew correction device for adjusting the traveling position of the web which has passed through the web conditioning device, and a tension assigning device for assigning fixed tension to the web. An image production apparatus includes at least one image production unit having a latent image forming device for forming a latent image on an image carrying member and a developing device for attaching toner to the latent image formed by the latent image forming device. A toner image formed by the image production unit is transferred to a transfer medium to produce an image. The image production apparatus further includes a periodicity giving device for giving periodicity to movement in a main scanning direction of the image carrying member or transfer medium. According to this periodicity, the movement time from an image forming position to a transfer position, or the movement time of a transfer medium between adjacent transfer positions is set equal to an integral multiple of the period.

Image production apparatus

The work involved in replacing the fixing lamps in a printer is made easy, and the non-operational period of the printer associated with such maintenance work is shortened. A portion of a fixing lamp is formed in a lamp cartridge which includes a first lamp holder for holding one end of the fixing lamp; a second lamp holder for holding the other end of the fixing lamp; and a protective member holding portion for holding a lamp protective member which is attached depending on necessity. The protective member holding portion is arranged around a region where the lamp holding member is placed, and, thereby, all of the plurality of fixing lamps are capable of being attached to and removed from the heating roller as a unit from one end of the heating roller.

An image recording apparatus for recording a two-color image on both surfaces of a continuous recording medium includes a toner image recording portion which has a toner carrier and transfers a toner image formed on a surface of the toner carrier onto the recording medium, a tractor for feeding the recording medium on which the toner image is transferred, and a both side fixing machine for receiving the recording medium fed by the tractor to fix the toner image transferred on the recording medium. In this image recording apparatus, guide rollers come into contact with non-printing portions on both side ends of the recording medium to apply tension to the recording medium by a spring and thereby gives a predetermined slack to the recording medium to absorb a difference in speed resulted between the tractor and the both side fixing machine.

A heating belt is laid along a conveying path for a recording medium moved after development, a halogen lamp is incorporated in a belt drive roller for driving the heating belt so as to heat the heating belt by heat generated by the halogen lamp, and accordingly, the heating belt whose temperature is controlled at a predetermined temperature heats the recording sheet. With this arrangement, the conveying speed of the recording sheet and the moving speed of the heating belt are set to be equal to each other. Alternatively, the heating belt may itself generate heat.
