A puncture apparatus includes: a needle member having a tubular shape and comprising a flexible portion that is deformable; and a puncture assisting member that is movable or deformable in an axial direction of the needle member between: a restricting position in which the puncture assisting member is located outside the flexible portion of the needle member in a radial direction of the needle member, and thereby restricts deformation of the flexible portion, and a permissive position in which the puncture assisting member is not located outside the flexible portion in the radial direction, and thereby permits deformation of the flexible portion. The puncture assisting member is configured to move or deform from the restricting position to the permissive position in conjunction with an operation of inserting the flexible portion into a living body at a time of puncturing the living body with the needle member.

A medical instrument includes: a medical device; a sheet type attaching member having an attachment surface that is attachable to a subject; and a fixing tool fixing the medical device to the attaching member. The fixing tool includes: a first engaging member located on the medical device; and a second engaging member located on a side of the attaching member opposite the attachment surface, the second engaging member being engageable with the first engaging member by rotation of the first engaging member with respect to the second engaging member.

A sheet-shaped application member includes: a first region, and a second region extending around the first region, wherein: the first region comprises a first region attachment surface to which a medical device is attachable, and a first region application surface opposite the first region attachment surface and adapted to be applied to a subject, the second region comprises a second region application surface adapted to be applied to the subject, and the first and second application regions are adapted such that, when the application member is applied to the subject, adhesion at the second region application surface is stronger than adhesion at the first region application surface; and an application member tear portion adapted to allow for tearing of a portion within the first region or for tearing the first region from the second region.
