Provided is a further improved wound dressing suitable for a method for treating a wound while maintaining a moist environment created by exudate oozing from the wound. The wound dressing () comprises at least three layers including a first layer, a second layer and a third layer in order from the side used in contact with a wound site, which layers are integrally stacked together. The first layer () comprises a resin sheet material having a number of pores penetrating in a thickness direction. The second layer () comprises a sheet material of which the surface is water-repellent and becomes water-permeable when pressure is applied. The third layer () comprises a sheet material capable of absorbing and holding water. The wound dressing optionally comprises a fourth layer comprising a resin film, a fabric or a nonwoven.

A method comprising a step of manufacturing an elastic laminated body by laminating two webs and while inserting an elastic member in an extended state in a web length direction in between; a step of cutting the elastic laminated body in a length direction so that a concave portion and a convex portion appear alternately; a step of attaching a cover sheet to bridge between the concave portion and the convex portion of cut first elastic laminated body and second elastic laminated body, respectively; a step of widening the first elastic laminated body and the second elastic laminated body to which the cover sheet is attached; and a step of attaching an absorber onto the cover sheet, lessens the occurrence of wrinkles and creases produced when webs are cut, and eliminates a problem attributed to the occurrence of wrinkles and arising when an absorber is attached.

A wearing article(A to D) includes a main body(A to D) having a front part P, a back part Q and a crotch part R coupling the front part P and the back part Q. The main body(A to D) includes a pair of waist edges T opposed to each other and a pair of leg edges S opposed to each other. A shirringis so formed in a substantially widthwise middle portion of the crotch part R of the main body(A to D) as to shorten a space between the front part P and the back part Q. A ratio of the length Lof the crotch part R along the forward and backward direction X to a length Lbetween the pair of waist edges T is 1:15 to 1:2.

The main body (A toD) includes a pair of waist edges (T) opposed to each other and a pair of leg edges (S) opposed to each other. A shirring () is so formed in a substantially widthwise middle portion of the crotch part (R) of the main body (toD) as to shorten a space between the front part (P) and the back part (Q). A ratio of the length (L) of the crotch part (R) along the forward and backward direction (X) to a length (L) between the pair of waist edges (T) is 1:15 to 1:2.

Method for manufacturing disposable wearing article

A wound dressing comprises a first layerincluding a sheet that exerts a water pressure resistant function at an initial stage, a second layerincluding an absorptive material, and a third layerincluding a sheet impermeable to liquid. The first layer, the second layerand the third layerare integrally stacked together so that the second layeris sandwiched between the first layerand the third layer. The wound dressing will not be completely stuck on the wound surface, the exudates can be adequately held on the wound surface, and the exudates can be prevented from leaking to the outside through the dressing.
