The processing circuitry is configured: to register first relevance information relevant to a first trained model to be newly generated; to calculate, with respect to each of a plurality of second trained models being existing trained models, a similarity degree between second relevance information relevant to the second trained model and the first relevance information; to calculate a data quantity required to generate the first trained model with respect to each of the plurality of second trained models, on the basis of the similarity degrees each corresponding to a different one of the plurality of second trained models; and to output the data quantity required to generate the first trained model with respect to each of the plurality of second trained models.

According to one embodiment, an MRI apparatus includes sequence control circuitry and processing circuitry. The sequence control circuitry executes a pulse sequence for collecting MR signals in collection timings along a relaxation curve of longitudinal magnetization in synchronization with heartbeats or blood beats. The processing circuitry generate a T1 map representing a distribution of T1 values by using the collected MR signals. The pulse sequence is set so as not to collect any MR signal in at least one heartbeat or blood beat among heartbeats or blood beats included between first and second inversion pulses, and so as to collect an MR signal in a heartbeat or blood beat subsequent to the at least one heartbeat or blood beat in which no MR signal is collected.

The sequence controlling circuitry applies a pre-pulse that inverts longitudinal magnetization from a positive value to a negative value and is configured, when a predetermined time period has elapsed, to acquire k-space data by performing three-dimensional acquisitions in which a radial acquisition is performed on a kx-ky plane and a Cartesian acquisition is performed in a kz direction.

The processing circuitry is configured to execute a pulse sequence to acquire data from an image taking region after applying a pre-pulse in synchronization with a predetermined electrocardiographic waveform of the subject. The processing circuitry is configured to monitor recovery of longitudinal magnetization by acquiring data from a monitor region that is different from the image taking region, by using timing linked with the timing with which the pre-pulse is applied. The processing circuitry is configured to control execution of the pulse sequence on the basis of a signal value of the data from the monitor region.

In one embodiment, a medical image processing apparatus includes a display and processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to (a) calculate fluid information including flow-velocity vectors based on three-dimensional image data of plural time phases, which are acquired by a phase contrast method of magnetic resonance imaging, and in which fluid flowing inside a lumen is depicted, (b) identify a branching position where a second lumen branches from a first lumen, based on change in flow volume of fluid flowing inside the first lumen along an extending direction of the first lumen, and (c) cause the display to display an analysis result including fluid information of fluid flowing inside the second lumen, based on the branching position.

Medical image processing apparatus and medical image processing method

A medical image processing apparatus according to one of present embodiments includes processing circuitry. The processing circuitry is configured to calculate fluid information including a velocity vector based on three-dimensional phase image data in multiple time phases, the three-dimensional phase image data being collected by phase contrast magnetic resonance imaging, and the three-dimensional phase image data representing a fluid flowing through a lumen. The processing circuitry is configured to identify a wall region of the lumen based on the velocity vector. The processing circuitry is configured to calculate wall shear stress using the wall region and the fluid information.
