Technologies for generating notification messages from data provided from different data sources in different data formats are provided. The disclosed techniques include a blender service that receives, from a first source, first data that is in a first data format and generates, based on the first data, a first event that includes content from the first data. The blender service also receives, from a second data source, second data that is in a second data format and generates a second event that includes content from the second data. An event processing system receives the first and second events and causes notifications to be generated based on the first event and the second event. A notification system generates the notification messages and sends the notification messages to the recipient users.

Trigger based notification generation system

This disclosure relates to systems and methods for managing multiple messages. In one example, a method includes determining a message transmission frequency threshold for a member of an online social networking service using responses from the member; receiving a message that is to be transmitted to the member; storing the message, without transmitting the message to the member, in a digest of messages for the member; and transmitting the digest to the member in response to a send score for the digest exceeding a send score threshold, the send score calculated using the number of messages in the digest.

Managing multiple messages

An apparatus and method for a two phase password input mechanism are provided. The method includes resetting a password entry, displaying a password entry screen, inputting a password element of a plurality of password elements, determining whether the entered password is complete, determining whether the entered password is correct when the entered password is complete, and if the entered password is correct, unlocking the mobile device. The plurality of password elements include at least two elements that cannot be observed from a same viewpoint.
