A first device may communicate an SL NC TB with a second device. At least one of the first device and the second device may be a UE. The first device may transmit, to a network entity, a first message having a first location information that indicates a movement of the UE from a first zone to a second zone. The first message may have a first location information associated with the UE. The UE may be in SL communication with a first encoder in the first zone. The network entity may obtain, from the first device, the first message. The network entity may initialize an NC handover of the UE to a second encoder of the second zone in response to the first location information indicating a movement of the UE from the first zone to the second zone.

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may receive a plurality of sidelink transmissions associated with a spatial division multiplexing (SDM) configuration. Sidelink feedback for multiple transmit-receive points

Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for using physical resource blocks (PRBs) of a sidelink resource pool that, in some cases, might not belong to a sub-channel in sidelink or are assigned to a special sub-channel. When a user equipment (UE) is transmitting a sidelink communication, the sidelink communication often takes place in resource pools that include sub-channels in frequency domain and slots in a time domain. A first subset of PRBs of the resource pool may be assigned to one or more sub-channels in the frequency domain. The disclosed methods, devices, and systems provide for identifying PRBs not assigned to the first subset (e.g., remaining or unused PRBs or PRBs assigned to a special sub-channel). In some aspects of the present disclosure, the UE may use these PRBs for various purposes.

Techniques for using physical resource blocks (PRBS) in a sidelink resource pool

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may select, from an available resource pool, one or more resources for transmitting a packet on a channel. The UE may determine that a new shared channel occupancy time (COT) has been initiated on the channel. The UE may adapt at least one resource of the one or more resources for transmitting the packet based at least in part on determining that the new shared COT has been initiated. To facilitate efficient LBT sidelink sensing procedures, methods, apparatuses, and computer program products are provided. An example method of a sidelink wireless device includes initiating an LBT sidelink sensing procedure including initiating an LBT timer to run for at least a minimum sensing duration in a channel. The example method further includes detecting one or more signals in the channel during the LBT side link sensing procedure. The example method further includes allowing the LBT timer to continue to run.

A network node may store, in a first buffer, a first set of transport blocks (TBs) received at the network node over a wireless channel during a first time window. The network node may receive a first set of one or more network coding messages over the wireless channel. The network node may decode the first set of one or more network coding messages based on the first set of TBs in the first buffer. Techniques are provided for determining the position of co-located wireless nodes. An example method for positioning co-located user equipment in a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) environment includes determining a first distance to a first wireless node, sending an indication of a co-located state to a second wireless node based at least in part on the first distance to the first wireless node, receiving a first position estimate based at least in part on radio frequency signal exchanges between the first wireless node and the second wireless node, determine a second distance to the first wireless node, sending an indication of a non-co-located state to the second wireless node based at least in part on the second distance to the first wireless node, and determining a second position estimate based at least in part on radio frequency signal exchanges with the second wireless node.

Positioning co-located user equipment in a vehicle to everything (V2X) environment

Aspects present herein relate to methods and devices for wireless communication including an apparatus, e.g., a UE and/or a base station. The apparatus may receive, from a base station, a security mode command message associated with secure sidelink communication with at least one other UE. The apparatus may also identify, based on the security mode command message, at least one of a RRC encryption key or a user plane encryption key. Additionally, the apparatus may receive, from the base station, an indication of at least one of a common base key or the RRC encryption key. The apparatus may also identify a physical layer sidelink encryption key based on at least one of the common base key or the RRC encryption key, the physical layer sidelink encryption key being associated with the secure sidelink communication with the at least one other UE.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications (e.g., vehicle to everything systems) are described relating to an adaptive design of demodulation reference signals (DMRS) density based on user equipment (UE) velocity. A UE may send assistance information to a transmitting UE to help identify a DMRS pattern based on the relative speed between the two UEs. Also, the transmitter may determine the adaptive DMRS pattern based on its speed without information of the receiver's speed. The transmitter may indicate the adaptive DMRS pattern in control information to the receiver. A base station may receive assistance information, and the base station may determine the adaptive DMRS pattern to be used by the transmitting UE based on the received assistance information and then indicate the adaptive DMRS pattern to the transmitting UE. A UE may determine an adaptive DMRS pattern to use based on feedback from the receiving UE.

Reference signal patterns based on relative speed between a transmitter and receiver

In some aspects, a method includes transmitting, by a first user equipment (UE) including a first set of transmission and reception points (TRPs), a first request for a first sidelink (SL) positioning session. Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a time offset for synchronization signal resources for synchronization signals associated with a first radio access technology (RAT). The UE may determine the synchronization signal resources and a synchronization periodicity based on the indication and a penetration ratio of UEs associated with the first RAT. The UE may selectively transmit the synchronization signals on the synchronization signal resources and according to the synchronization periodicity. Additionally, or alternatively, the UE may determine that other synchronization signal resources are allocated for a second RAT and may select resources for communications associated with the first RAT based on determining that the other synchronization signal resources are allocated. The UE may perform communications associated with the first RAT based on selecting the resources.

A method of assisting joint network entity/user equipment and user equipment/user equipment (NE/UE-and-UE/UE) ranging includes: transmitting, from a first UE to a network entity, a capability indication that indicates a capability of the first UE to serve as an anchor UE for joint NE/UE-and-UE/UE ranging; obtaining, at the first UE, a location of the first UE; transmitting, from the first UE, the location of the first UE; transmitting, from the first UE to the network entity, at least one indication that a second UE is in a line of sight of the first UE or that the second UE is in close proximity to the first UE; and transmitting, from the first UE, at least one of a first positioning reference signal to the second UE, or a measurement report indicating a measurement of a second positioning reference signal received by the first UE from the second UE.
