A network node may store, in a first buffer, a first set of transport blocks (TBs) received at the network node over a wireless channel during a first time window. The network node may store, in a second buffer, a second set of TBs received at the network node over the wireless channel during a second time window and according to at least one monitoring criterion. The network node may receive a first set of one or more network coding messages over the wireless channel. The network node may decode the first set of one or more network coding messages based on the first set of TBs in the first buffer. The network node may transmit a second set of one or more network coding messages corresponding to a portion of the second set of TBs in the second buffer.

Distributed multi-encoder network coding design

Techniques are provided for determining the position of co-located wireless nodes. An example method for positioning co-located user equipment in a vehicle-to-everything (V2X) environment includes determining a first distance to a first wireless node, sending an indication of a co-located state to a second wireless node based at least in part on the first distance to the first wireless node, receiving a first position estimate based at least in part on radio frequency signal exchanges between the first wireless node and the second wireless node, determine a second distance to the first wireless node, sending an indication of a non-co-located state to the second wireless node based at least in part on the second distance to the first wireless node, and determining a second position estimate based at least in part on radio frequency signal exchanges with the second wireless node.

Positioning co-located user equipment in a vehicle to everything (V2X) environment

Aspects present herein relate to methods and devices for wireless communication including an apparatus, e.g., a UE and/or a base station. The apparatus may receive, from a base station, a security mode command message associated with secure sidelink communication with at least one other UE. The apparatus may also identify, based on the security mode command message, at least one of a RRC encryption key or a user plane encryption key. Additionally, the apparatus may receive, from the base station, an indication of at least one of a common base key or the RRC encryption key. The apparatus may also identify a physical layer sidelink encryption key based on at least one of the common base key or the RRC encryption key, the physical layer sidelink encryption key being associated with the secure sidelink communication with the at least one other UE.

Secure sidelink communication

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications (e.g., vehicle to everything systems) are described relating to an adaptive design of demodulation reference signals (DMRS) density based on user equipment (UE) velocity. A UE may send assistance information to a transmitting UE to help identify a DMRS pattern based on the relative speed between the two UEs. Also, the transmitter may determine the adaptive DMRS pattern based on its speed without information of the receiver's speed. The transmitter may indicate the adaptive DMRS pattern in control information to the receiver. A base station may receive assistance information, and the base station may determine the adaptive DMRS pattern to be used by the transmitting UE based on the received assistance information and then indicate the adaptive DMRS pattern to the transmitting UE. A UE may determine an adaptive DMRS pattern to use based on feedback from the receiving UE.

Reference signal patterns based on relative speed between a transmitter and receiver

In some aspects, a user equipment (UE) may identify multiple candidate sets of physical sidelink feedback channel (PSFCH) transmissions that include hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) feedback for sidelink communications received from one or more peer UEs. The UE may select, from one or more of the multiple candidate sets that satisfy a PSFCH transmit power constraint, at least one candidate set that has a highest value for a utility parameter among utility parameters associated with each of the one or more candidate sets that satisfy a PSFCH transmit power constraint. Concurrent physical sidelink feedback channel transmission

This disclosure provides systems, methods, and devices for wireless communication that support multiple-transmission and reception point (multi-TRP) based positioning. In some aspects, a method includes transmitting, by a first user equipment (UE) including a first set of transmission and reception points (TRPs), a first request for a first sidelink (SL) positioning session. The first request indicates a multi-TRP positioning session is enabled. The method also includes receiving, from a second UE including a second set of TRPs, a first response based on the first request. Multi-transmission and reception point (multi-TRP) based positioning

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive an indication of a time offset for synchronization signal resources for synchronization signals associated with a first radio access technology (RAT). The UE may determine the synchronization signal resources and a synchronization periodicity based on the indication and a penetration ratio of UEs associated with the first RAT. The UE may selectively transmit the synchronization signals on the synchronization signal resources and according to the synchronization periodicity. Additionally, or alternatively, the UE may determine that other synchronization signal resources are allocated for a second RAT and may select resources for communications associated with the first RAT based on determining that the other synchronization signal resources are allocated. The UE may perform communications associated with the first RAT based on selecting the resources.

Resource sharing between sidelink devices using different radio access technologies

A method of assisting joint network entity/user equipment and user equipment/user equipment (NE/UE-and-UE/UE) ranging includes: transmitting, from a first UE to a network entity, a capability indication that indicates a capability of the first UE to serve as an anchor UE for joint NE/UE-and-UE/UE ranging; obtaining, at the first UE, a location of the first UE; transmitting, from the first UE, the location of the first UE; transmitting, from the first UE to the network entity, at least one indication that a second UE is in a line of sight of the first UE or that the second UE is in close proximity to the first UE; and transmitting, from the first UE, at least one of a first positioning reference signal to the second UE, or a measurement report indicating a measurement of a second positioning reference signal received by the first UE from the second UE.

Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. Multiple transmitting user equipments (UEs) may send sidelink data transmissions. Receiving sidelink UEs may map sidelink feedback interlaces corresponding to detected sidelink data transmissions to sidelink feedback resources of a common sidelink feedback symbol according to an interlace mapping rule (e.g., defining which contiguous or non-contiguous frequency resources the UE is to use for transmitting sidelink feedback for the received sidelink data messages). The receiving UEs may map one or more replicas of initial interlaces of sidelink feedback resources to additional available resources of the sidelink feedback resources in the common feedback symbol.

Interlaced feedback for sidelink communications via unlicensed channels

Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a mobile station may transmit, from the mobile station to an encoding device, acknowledgement or negative acknowledgement (ACK-NACK) feedback based at least in part on a transmission by the encoding device, wherein the ACK-NACK feedback is associated with a feedback bin, and wherein the feedback bin is associated with a location of the mobile station. The mobile station may receive, at the mobile station from the encoding device, a network coding transport block, wherein the network coding transport block is formed based at least in part on the transmission and the ACK-NACK feedback associated with the feedback bin. Disclosed are techniques for wireless communication. In an aspect, a first UE determines a set of resources for transmission of one or more sidelink PRSs. The first UE transmits a sidelink control message to reserve the set of resources for the transmission of the one or more sidelink PRSs. In another aspect, the second UE may receive the sidelink control message, and may (e.g., transmit and/or receive/measure) the one or more PRSs in accordance with the sidelink control message. A user equipment (UE) may generate sidelink assistance information based on an interference condition associated with an initial transmission of sidelink communication over a sidelink resource of a sidelink resource pool. The sidelink assistance information may include information associated with the interference condition. The UE may transmit an inter-UE coordination message including the generated sidelink assistance information. Additionally, or alternatively, a UE may receive inter-UE coordination message including sidelink assistance information. The UE may receive a retransmission of the sidelink communication and decode the received retransmission of the sidelink communication based on the received inter-UE coordination message including sidelink assistance information.
