The disclosure relates to a power supply device for a motor protector and a power supplying method thereof. The motor protector receives power. The power supply device comprises: a first power supplying unit, configured to receive and store the power and supply power to a tripping device of the motor protector; a second power supplying unit, configured to receive the power and supply power to a calculation and control device of the motor protector; a third power supplying unit, configured to receive and store the power and supply power to a reclosing device of the motor protector; and a control unit, configured to control an order in which the first power supplying unit, the second power supplying unit and the third power supplying unit receive the power.

The motor thermal protection device utilizes a power supply of a motor for power supplying and comprises: a capacitor timing circuit, configured to time after the motor is powered off; a power-off time determining unit, configured to perform a reading operation of reading an output voltage of the capacitor timing circuit after the motor is powered on, and determine a power-off time from when the motor is powered off to when the motor is powered on according to the output voltage; and a heat accumulation calculating unit, configured to calculate a remaining heat accumulation when the motor is powered on according to the power-off time and a heat accumulation when the motor is powered off.

Optical fiber interconnection systems and methods are described. One aspect includes receiving a pulse-amplitude modulated (PAM4) electrical signal at a transmitter for transmission to a receiver. The PAM4 electrical signal is decoded into a pair of non-return-to-zero (NRZ) electrical signals. The pair of NRZ electrical signals is converted into a corresponding pair of NRZ optical signals including a first NRZ optical signal and a second NRZ optical signal. The first NRZ optical signal is transmitted to a receiver over an communication channel. The second NRZ optical signal is transmitted to the receiver over the optical communication channel.

Optical fiber symbol format conversion system and method

Voltage converter systems and methods are described. One aspect includes extracting energy from one or more data lines. A feedback voltage is derived from the extracted energy. Responsive to the value of the feedback voltage being less than a reference voltage value, a waveform modulation controller is switched to a pulse-frequency modulation (PFM) mode. Subsequent to switching the waveform modulation controller to the PFM mode, additional energy is extracted from the one or more digital data lines. Another feedback voltage is derived from the additional extracted energy. Responsive to the value of other feedback voltage being greater than the reference voltage value, the waveform modulation controller is further switched from the PFM mode to a pulse-skipping modulation (PSM) mode.

The driving apparatus comprises a first energy storage unit, a timing unit, a control unit, and a first power supply unit, a second energy storage unit and a driving unit. The timing unit outputs a first enable signal; the control unit outputs a second enable signal or a third enable signal; the first power supply unit enables the second energy storage unit to receive the power when receiving the second enable signal, and enables the second energy storage unit to discharge when receiving the third enable signal; the second energy storage unit receives and stores the power via the first power supply unit; and the driving unit provides the power stored in the first energy storage unit to the reclosing apparatus when a predetermined condition is satisfied.

Driving apparatus for reclosing apparatus and driving method thereof

A motor protector and a method for operating the same. The motor protector includes: a power supply unit adapted to receive electric power from power supply lines of a motor to power the motor protector; a measuring unit adapted to measure electric parameters of the motor; and a controller configured to at least perform steps of: receiving from the measuring unit the electric parameters; determining, based on the electric parameters, whether the motor experiences a first failure related to overheating of the motor; enabling, in accordance with determination of the first failure of the motor, the power supply unit to power a closing mechanism of the motor protector after a predetermined time, thereby closing the closing mechanism to power the motor by the power supply lines; determining, based on the electric parameters, whether the motor experiences a second failure different from the first failure; and enabling, in accordance with determination of the second failure of the motor, the power supply unit to stop powering the closing mechanism. Hence, the motor protector can discriminate types of the motor failures and adopt corresponding measures for different failures.
