One of the methods includes receiving, by one or more first computing devices, data captured by one or more sensors in the store; identifying, by the one or more first computing devices, a plurality of objects based on the received data, wherein the identified objects comprise one or more persons and one or more product items; extracting, by the one or more first computing devices, a plurality of features associated with each of the identified objects; generating, by the one or more first computing devices, a digest comprising information of the extracted features associated with the identified objects; and sending, by the one or more first computing devices, the digest to one or more second computing devices for processing.

Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for tracking a product item in an automated-checkout store. One of the methods includes receiving, from a plurality of sensors, data collected by the sensors, identifying an account associated with a person who enters the store, receiving data on movement of the product item collected by one or more of the sensors, determining an interaction between the person and the product item based on the data collected by one or more of the sensors, storing information associating the product item with the person; and deducting a payment amount from the identified account, wherein the payment amount is based on a price of the product item associated with the person.

One of the methods includes receiving, by a computer system, data collected by multiple image sensors, the received data including data associated with a person, identifying, by the computer system based on the received data, multiple features of the person, extracting, by the computer system based on the identified features, data associated with the person from the received data, wherein the extracted data correspond to multiple time periods, and determining, by the computer system, a location of the person in each of the time periods based on the extracted data corresponding to the time period, wherein the determining includes aggregating the extracted data collected by different image sensors based at least in part on a location and a line of sight of each of the image sensors.

One of the methods includes receiving, from one or more image sensors and one or more weight sensors, data collected by the one or more image sensors and data collected by the one or more weight sensors; identifying, based at least on the data collected by the one or more image sensors, one or more product items removed by a person from the store; calculating an expected total weight of the one or more product items based on information associated with the one or more product items stored by the computer system; determining, based on the data collected by the one or more weight sensors, an actual total weight of the one or more product items removed by the person; and verifying the actual total weight is consistent with the expected total weight.
