The invention discloses a method for determining a region where a broadcasting receiver is located by detecting the signal strength of a plurality of channels. When a user takes the broadcasting receiver from region A to region B, the broadcasting receiver provides a list of regions including region B when the broadcasting receiver is turned on. When the user chooses to change the current region to region B, and after the channel scan is performed, the user can effortlessly view the broadcast programs of region B.

A remote controller with memory capability includes a status button, a memory, a processing unit, and a transceiver device. The memory is utilized for storing a status information of an electronic product. When the status button is pressed, the processing unit generates a control signal and determines whether the status information exists in the memory. When the status button is pressed and the status information does not exist in the memory, the transceiver device outputs the control signal and receives the status information and the memory stores the status information. When the status button is pressed and the status information exists in the memory, the transceiver device outputs the control signal and the status information stored in the memory.

Remote controller, electronic product system, and related method with memory capability

A method for detecting transmission quality is provided. The method includes following steps. First, the second electronic apparatus receives several data packets through a wireless channel. The data packets are sent by the first electronic apparatus. Next, the second electronic apparatus obtains a received signal strength indication and a bit error rate according to the data packets, Then, the second electronic apparatus determines an effective bandwidth according to the received signal strength indication and bit error rate. Afterwards, the second electronic apparatus determines a signal quality index according to the effective bandwidth and a packet delay rate. Therefore, a user of the second electronic apparatus is able to know a connecting status of a wireless media product.
