A high-density detergent composition comprises 10 to 60% by weight of a surfactant composition having a weight ratio of an anionic surfactant to a nonionic surfactant of 4:10 or more and 10:0 or less, wherein the high-density detergent composition has a bulk density of from 600 to 1200 g/L, and has a total summation of a product of a mass base frequency Wi and a dissolving rate Vi of each group of classified granules obtained by classifying detergent granules by using a classifier, which satisfies the following formula: &#x3a3;(Wi&#xb7;Vi)&#x2267;95(%), and wherein a mass base frequency of the classified granules having a size of less than 125 &#x3bc;m is 0.1 or less, wherein the classifier comprises sieves each having a sieve-opening 2000 &#x3bc;m, 1410 &#x3bc;m, 1000 &#x3bc;m, 710 &#x3bc;m, 500 &#x3bc;m, 355 &#x3bc;m, 250 &#x3bc;m, 180 &#x3bc;m, and 125 &#x3bc;m, and a receiver.

High-density detergent composition

A solid-shaped detergent comprising particles for detergent, wherein the particles have a dissolution rate of 90% or more, under conditions where the particles are supplied in water at 5&#xb0; C.; stirred for 60 seconds under the stirring conditions that 1 g of the particles are supplied to a 1-L beaker having an inner diameter of 105 mm which is charged with 1 L of hard water having 71.2 mg CaCO/L, wherein a molar ratio of Ca/Mg is 7/3, and stirred with a stirring bar of 35 mm in length and 8 mm in diameter at a rotational speed of 800 rpm; and filtered with a standard sieve having a sieve-opening of 74 &#x3bc;m as defined by JIS Z 8801, wherein the dissolution rate of the particles is calculated by the Equation (1):Dissolution Rate (%)=[1&#x2212;()]&#xd7;100,&#x2003;&#x2003;(1)wherein S is a weight (g) of the particles supplied; and T is a dry weight (g) of insoluble remnants of the particles remaining on the sieve when an aqueous solution prepared under the above stirring conditions is filtered with the sieve.

Solid-shaped detergent

Base particles for supporting a surfactant, obtainable by a step of spray-drying a slurry comprising (A) a zeolite having an average aggregate particle diameter of 15 &#x3bc;m or less and a variation coefficient of a distribution of an aggregate particle diameter of 29% or less, (B) a water-soluble polymer; (C) a water-soluble salt, and (D) a surfactant in an amount of 5% by weight or less of the slurry; detergent particles comprising the base particles; and a zeolite for a laundry detergent, wherein the zeolite has an average aggregate particle diameter of 15 &#x3bc;m or less and a variation coefficient of a distribution of an aggregate particle diameter of 29% or less; and a process for preparing base particles for supporting a surfactant, comprising a step of spray-drying a slurry comprising a zeolite (A) having an average aggregate particle diameter of 15 &#x3bc;m or less and a variation coefficient of a distribution of an aggregate particle diameter of 29% or less, a water-soluble polymer (B), a water-soluble salt (C), and optionally a surfactant (D) so as to give base particles comprising 1 to 90% by weight of the zeolite (A), 2 to 25% by weight of the water-soluble polymer (B), 5 to 75% by weight of the water-soluble salt (C), and optionally 0 to 5% by weight of the surfactant (D).

Base particles and detergent particles

The present invention relates to particles for supporting a surfactant and a process for preparing the same. Further, the present invention relates to high-density detergent particles using the particles for supporting a surfactant, and a process for preparing the same. According to the present invention, there can be obtained particles for supporting a surfactant which are excellent in the supporting ability (supporting capacity/supporting strength) for the liquid surfactant composition, and particles for supporting a surfactant which are excellent in the absorption properties (supporting rate) for the liquid surfactant composition, by spray-drying a preparation liquid obtainable by a process comprising the steps of preparing a first preparation liquid comprising a solution or slurry comprising a water-soluble polymer and a water-soluble salt; and subjecting the first preparation liquid to a treatment of increasing a number of water-soluble salt particles, thereby preparing a second preparation liquid having an increased number of water-soluble salt particles, as compared to the number of water-soluble salt particles which are present in the first preparation liquid. Further, since the liquid surfactant composition is supported by the particles for supporting a surfactant, detergent particles which are excellent in detergent performance, quality and the like can be efficiently obtained.

Granules for carrying surfactant and method for producing the same

The present invention relates to a granular detergent composition having easy measurability and distributivity suitable for spoon measurement, a bulk density thereof being 500 g/L or more, containing a surfactant, a water-insoluble inorganic compound and a water-soluble salt, wherein the granular detergent composition has a variance of powder dropping rate V of 1.0 or less, an inserting pressure P of 80 gf/cm or less, a &Dgr; dropping ratio D of 14% of les, and an index K of from 30 to 230, the index K being represented by the equation: K&equals;P&times;exp (0.135&times;D), wherein P stands for an inserting pressure (gf/cm), and D stands for a &Dgr; dropping ratio (%); and a process for preparing the same.

Granulated detergent composition

A solid-shaped detergent comprising particles for detergent, wherein the particles have a dissolution rate of 90% or more, under conditions where the particles are supplied in water at 5&deg; C.; stirred for 60 seconds under the stirring conditions that 1 g of the particles are supplied to a 1-L beaker having an inner diameter of 105 mm which is charged with 1 L of hard, water having 71.2 mg CaCO /L, wherein a molar ratio of Ca/Mg is 7/3, and stirred with a stirring bar of 35 mm in length and 8 mm in diameter at a rotational speed of 800 rpm; and filtered with a standard sieve having a sieve-opening of 74 &mgr;m as defined by JIS Z 8801, wherein the dissolution rate of the particles is calculated by the Equation (1): Dissolution Rate (%)&equals;&lsqb;1&minus;(T/S)&rsqb;&times;100 (1), wherein S is a weight (g) of the particles supplied; and T is a dry weight (g) of insoluble remnants of the particles remaining on the sieve when an aqueous solution prepared under the above stirring conditions is filtered with the sieve.

The surfactant composition of the present invention is a surfactant composition which is capable of being formulated for use in a non-liquid detergent composition, the surfactant composition comprising a) a nonionic surfactant having a melting point of 30&deg; C. or less; b) an anionic surfactant having sulfonate group; and c) an immobilization agent for a) component, wherein b) component is formulated in an amount of from 0 to 300 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of a) component, and wherein c) component is formulated in an amount of from 1 to 100 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of a) component, and wherein the surfactant composition has (1) a temperature range that a viscosity of the composition is 10 Pa&middot;s or less at a temperature equal to or higher than a pour point of the surfactant composition; and (2) a temperature range that a penetrating hardness of the composition is 100 g/cm or more in a temperature range between a temperature lower than the pour point of the surfactant composition and a temperature higher than the melting point of a) component.

Surfactant composition

Detergent formulations incorporating crystalline alkali metal silicate granules provide enhanced performance in removing sebum dirt stains at low dosages of detergent in the wash. The detergent formulations are prepared by combining an alkali metal silicate having a high pH value with a nonionic surfactant and an acid precursor of an anionic surfactant capable of having a lamellar orientation. The formulation is granulated by tumbling in an agitating mixer while increasing the bulk density at elevated temperatures to yield alkali metal silicate granules having a bulk density of from 0.6 to 1.2 g/ml.

Method for producing crystalline alkali metal silicate granules and granular high density detergent

To provide detergent particles having high-speed dissolution capable of dissolving quickly in water after supplying the detergent particles in water, and a method for preparing the detergent particles, and a detergent composition comprising the detergent particles. Detergent particles having an average particle size of from 150 to 500 &mgr;m and a bulk density of 500 g/liter or more, wherein the detergent particles comprising a detergent particle being capable of releasing a bubble from an inner portion of the detergent particles in a process of dissolving the detergent particle in water, the bubble having a size of one-tenth or more of a particle size of the detergent particle, and wherein the detergent particles have a dissolution rate as calculated by Equation (1) of 90% or more, under conditions where the detergent particles are supplied in water at 5&deg; C.; stirred for 60 seconds under the test stirring conditions; and filtered with a standard sieve having a sieve-opening of 74 &mgr;m as defined by JIS Z 8801, or wherein the detergent particles have a dissolution rate of 82% or more, the detergent particles stirred for 30 seconds and calculated in the same manner as above.

Detergent particles

In the detergent granules including 10% by weight or more of a nonionic surfactant and 1% by weight or more of a crystalline alkali metal silicate having an average particle size of from 1 to 60 &mgr;m, the detergent granules characterized in that a proportion of the nonionic surfactant to the crystalline alkali metal silicate is in a weight ratio of from 20/1 to 1/20, and that the iron content calculated as Fe in the crystalline alkali metal silicate is 140 ppm or less. The granular detergent composition characterized in that the granular detergent composition includes the detergent granules described above.

Detergent grains and granular detergent composition

The present invention is targeted to obtain a high-density granular detergent composition for clothes washing having sufficient detergency even when the amount of dosage is small without lowering its detergency even after long-term storage by blending a non-soap anionic surfactant and a crystalline alkali metal silicate in a state of non-contact as much as possible. The high-density granular detergent composition for clothes washing, the granular detergent composition having a bulk density of from 0.7 to 1.2 g/cm,, including (A) a non-soap anionic surfactant; (B) a crystalline alkali metal silicate; and (C) a metal ion capturing agent other than Component (B). In the above detergent composition, Component (A) is added in an amount of from 10 to 50% by weight, and a total amount of Component (B) and Component (C) is from 30 to 80% by weight, and a weight ratio of Component (B) to Component (C) is (B)/(C)&equals;1/15 to 5/1, and at least a part of (B) the crystalline alkali metal silicate is blended in builder granules, the builder granules including the crystalline alkali metal silicate, a binder and optionally an aluminosilicate. Further, (A) the non-soap anionic surfactant is contained in the builder granules in an amount of less than 10% by weight.

Granular detergent composition for clothing

A high-density powdered detergent composition which has a bulk density of 0.6 to 1.2 g/ml and which comprises 0.5 to 30% by weight of (a) a glycine-N,N-diacetic acid derivative, 5 to 45% by weight of (b) a nonionic surfactant having an HLB value of 10.5 to 15.0, 0.5 to 18% by weight of (c) an anionic surfactant and 1 to 30% by weight of (d) an aluminosilicate, each percentage being based on the total weight of the composition, and the weight ratio of the component (b) to the component (c) lying between 90:1 and 60:40. This composition contains both a glycine-N,N-diacetic acid derivative which is a builder excellent in biodegradability and sequestering power and an inorganic builder such as zeolite or crystalline silicate, and exhibits high detergency.

High-density powdered detergent composition

The bleaching detergent composition in a form of granules or powders containing an organic peracid precursor which produces an organic peracid upon reaction with hydrogen peroxide in water, the organic peracid having an alkyl group with 7 to 19 carbon atoms, and a hydrogen peroxide releasing material, wherein the bleaching detergent composition comprises the following components a) to c): a) one or more surfactants; b) one or more crystalline alkali metal silicates; and c) one or more agents for capturing metal ions other than the crystalline alkali metal silicates b), wherein a total amount of the above a), b), and c) components in the bleaching detergent composition occupies from 70 to 99% by weight, and wherein the weight ratio of component b) to component a) is b/a=90/10 to 45/55, and the weight ratio of component b) to component c) is b/c=7/93 to 75/25, and wherein the weight ratio of the organic peracid precursor to nonionic surfactants used as component a) is from 10/90 to 70/30.
