An electrical connector includes an insulating housing, a plurality of terminals and a shielding shell which are molded integrally. The insulating housing has a top wall, two side walls, a bottom wall and a rear wall which are interconnected to form a box shape with an accommodating chamber formed thereamong. The terminals are molded in the insulating housing with contact portions extended into the accommodating chamber. The shielding shell includes an inner shell and an outer shell fixedly attached on the inner shell. The inner shell includes a top plate, two side plates and a bottom plate which are interconnected together to surround a receiving space thereamong. The shielding shell is molded in a periphery of the accommodating chamber with a portion of the outer shell exposed outside the insulating housing.

Electrical connector and molding method thereof

An electrical connector includes an inner shell having a bottom board, two side boards and a top board to define a receiving space thereamong, an insulating body having a base portion mated with a rear of the receiving space and a tongue portion extended forward from the base portion and stretching into a front of the receiving space, a plurality of terminals disposed in the insulating body, and an outer shell mounted around the inner shell. The outer shell has a base plate electrically covered on the top board and at least one soldering tail soldered to a printed circuit board so as to achieve a ground function of the inner shell through the outer shell and the outer shell further prevents the water which enters the receiving space from an opened front end mouth of the receiving space from flowing onto the printed circuit board.

Electrical connector

An electrical connector includes an insulating housing defining two openings, a circuit board received in the insulating housing and formed with two sets of contacts, a cover covering the insulating housing and enclosing the circuit board except the sets of contacts, and a pair of grounding shells inserted into the openings respectively. Each of the grounding shells defines an inserting opening exposed through the opening of the insulating housing and a blocking opening received in the insulating housing. One of the grounding shells connects to a grounding unit of a cord telephone base, and the other grounding shell connects to a grounding unit of a portable wireless telephone to prevent the cord telephone base and the portable wireless telephone from electrostatic influence.

Electrical connector with electrostatic protection

An electrical connector includes an insulating housing, a plurality of terminals and a shielding shell. The insulating housing has a base body and a tongue. Two sides of the front surface of the base body define two inserting slots. A propping portion is perpendicularly connected between two face-to-face insides of the inserting slot. The terminals are disposed in the insulating housing respectively. The shielding shell is mounted to the insulating housing, and has a tongue sheath with two side plates. A rear edge of each side plate extends rearward to form a fastening piece with a clipping opening. Two opposite edges of the clipping opening are further concaved oppositely to form a locating opening. The tongue sheath is sleeved around the tongue. The fastening piece is inserted rearward into the corresponding inserting slot, and the propping portion slides along the clipping opening until being buckled into the locating opening.

An electrical connector includes an inner shell which defines a receiving recess and has a base board, an insulating body which defines a receiving chamber with a front end being opened freely for receiving the inner shell therein, a plurality of terminals insert-molded in the insulating body and exposed to the receiving recess, and an outer shell which encloses the insulating body and has a base plate. A connecting slot is opened in and penetrates through a rear wall of the receiving chamber. A rear edge of the base board is provided with a contact slice passing through the connecting slot and then bent against the rear wall. A rear edge of the base plate is bent downward and then arched forward to form a contact tail which is located behind the rear wall and electrically abuts against the contact slice to achieve a ground function of the inner shell.

Receptacle connector

An audio jack connector has an insulating housing defining a rectangular base. The base has a passageway passing therethrough for receiving an inserted audio plug connector. A channel is formed at a top surface of the base for communicating with the passageway. A set of switch terminals mounted to the insulating housing comprise an elastic terminal and a fixing terminal. The elastic terminal has a first top plate and a switch arm extended outward from the first top plate, with a free end thereof projecting into the passageway through the channel. The fixing terminal has a second top plate disposed above the channel. The second top plate has a pair of cantilever switch slices extending toward each other and perpendicular to an extending direction of the switch arm, with free ends thereof suspended over the free end of the switch arm and spaced from each other.

Audio jack connector

A dustproof receptacle connector includes a dielectric housing, a plurality of terminals, a shield and a dustproof cover. The dielectric housing defines a plurality of terminal grooves therein for receiving the terminals. The shield surrounding the dielectric housing has a top board. A sliding groove is defined in the top board and extends longitudinally to pass through a rear end of the top board. An engaging portion extends from the rear end of the top board. A receiving groove is surrounded by the engaging portion and the rear end of the top board and communicates with the sliding groove. The engaging portion is bent downward to be attached to a rear portion of the dielectric housing. The dustproof cover is slidably received in the shield and located between the dielectric housing and a front end of the shield. The dustproof cover has a positioning portion slidable along the sliding groove.

Dustproof receptacle connector

A water-proof connector has a base. The base has a passageway passing through a first end thereof and a second end thereof opposite to the first end. The second end has a first stopping rib and a second stopping rib protruded outwards from two opposite portions of an edge of the passageway. Two ends of each of the first and second stopping ribs are extended oppositely to form a third stopping rib and a fourth stopping rib. A cap covered to the second end has a covering plate. The covering plate has an indention area at an engaging side thereof. A side of the indention area encloses and abuts against the first stopping rib and the second stopping rib, and has two opposite portions formed with two spaced open first slots and two spaced open second slots, respectively, for receiving the third stopping ribs and the fourth stopping ribs.

Water-proof connector

A card connector includes an insulating housing defining a receiving chamber for receiving a card having a gap at one side edge, an ejecting device for withdrawing the card from the card connector and including a sliding body, and a cover coupled on the insulating housing. One side of the receiving chamber defines a sliding recess where the sliding body is slidably disposed. The sliding body protrudes toward the receiving chamber to form a projection buckled into the gap of the card for securing the card. The cover is provided with a propping means at one side away from the ejecting device. The propping means includes a propping arm stretching into the receiving chamber and inclined toward the ejecting device for propping against the other side edge of the card to make the card close to the sliding body and further secure the projection in the gap.

Card connector

An electrical connector includes an insulating housing having a front frame and a rear frame engaged with the front frame. The front frame defines at least two receiving grooves at a top portion and a bottom portion thereof respectively. The rear frame defines at least one fixing groove passing through a front portion thereof. At least one latch member has a hollowed bearing portion extending from both distal ends thereof to form two resilient arms. The bearing portion and the resilient arms are received in the fixing groove of the rear frame. A tip end of each resilient arm extending into the corresponding receiving groove protrudes to form a limiting portion which is exposed out of the receiving groove of the front frame, and a plurality of terminals is disposed in the insulating housing respectively.

Electrical connector with latching member

An electrical connector includes a dielectric housing, a plurality of terminals and a shield. The dielectric housing defines a plurality of terminal grooves therein for receiving the terminals. At least one recess is formed in an outer surface of the dielectric housing. The shield has a plurality of sidewalls to define a receiving space therebetween for receiving the dielectric housing therein. At least one of the sidewalls is punched inward at a portion corresponding to the recess of the dielectric housing to form a retaining portion restricted in the recess after the dielectric housing is mounted in the receiving space. The retaining portion is restricted in the recess for fixing the dielectric housing inside the shield. The depth of the recess and the retaining portion restricted in the recess is not limited by the depth of the material of the shield. The dielectric housing is fixed in the shield firmly.
