An example method of operating a network may include determining whether a flow is to be added to the network based on: a flow type of the flow, a link condition of the flow, and for each possible combination of flow type and link condition out of multiple flow types and multiple link conditions, the number of flows currently carried on the network that correspond to the respective combination.

Determining whether a flow is to be added to a network

Example implementations may relate to an occupancy sensing system. For example, the occupancy sensing system may collect connection data and traffic data related to electronic devices that connect to the networking device. The occupancy sensing system may determine a number of resident devices and a number of high-traffic devices, based on the connection data or the traffic data. The occupancy sensing system may determine a number of the electronic devices that are coactive within an analysis time window, and may constrain the number of coactive electronic devices to a range from the number of high-traffic devices to the number of resident devices to generate an occupancy value.

Occupancy sensing

In one example, a system for device throughput determination includes a monitor engine to monitor an average packet size at a node of a cellular network designated for a device and a channel quality between the device and the node of the cellular network, a classification engine to classify the device based on the monitored average packet size at the node designated for the device and the channel quality, a prediction engine to predict a throughput for the device over a quantity of future transmission time intervals (TTI) based on the classification of the device and a number of resources requested by the device over a period of time.

Examples include deterrence of user equipment (UE) device location tracking. Some examples include a core network device of a telecommunication network having a processing resource and a machine-readable storage medium with instructions executable by the processing resource to receive a first service request message from the UE device that includes a pseudo-Globally Unique Temporary Identifier (p-GUTI), to send a paging message that includes the p-GUTI, and to receive a second service request message from the UE device that includes a new p-GUTI based on the p-GUTI of the first service request message matching the p-GUTI of the paging message.
