Disclosed are a curable polyphenylene ether (PPE) resin composition comprising (a) a PPE resin and (b) a of a compound having a 3,4-dihydro-3-substituted-1,3-benzoxazine skeleton (DSBS compound), or a mixture of the DSBS compound and a ring-opening polymerization re-action product thereof; a cured PPE resin composition obtainable by curing the curable PPE resin composition; and a laminate structure obtained by using the curable or cured PPE resin composition. The curable PPE resin composition exhibits, after cured, excellent chemical resistance, moisture resistance, dielectric characteristics, heat resistance, flame retardancy and dimensional stability, so that it can be used as a dielectric, insulating or heat resistant material in the electrical, electronic, space and aircraft industries. Especially, it can be advantageously used as a resin composition for forming insulating layers, such as substrates for a single-sided, double-sided or multi-layer printed circuit board, a flexible printed circuit board and a semi-rigid circuit board, and a substrate for a structure having excellent heat removal characteristics.

The invention provides resin-having metal foil for a multilayered wiring board which comprises metal foil having provided on one side thereof a film of a thermosetting resin having a relative dielectric constant of not higher than 3.3 at a frequency range of not lower than 1 MHz and having a resin flow of from 1 to 50% or from 5 to 50%, and a process for producing the same. The invention also provides a (sequentially) multilayered wiring board produced by using the resin-having metal foil and an electronic device comprising the multilayered wiring board and an electronic element connected thereto with a wiring means.

A novel dry image forming material comprising in one or more layers on a support (a) a non-photosensitive organic silver salt oxidizing agent, (b) a reducing agent for silver ions, (c) a silver halide component or a silver halide-forming component, (d) a toning agent and (e) a lipophilic binder, characterized by the inclusion of a specific 2-(2'-hydroxyphenyl)benzotriazole compound having bulky tert-butyl or tert-amyl groups at its ortho- and para-positions relative to the hydroxyl group in a layer containing the component (a). The dry image forming material of the present invention has high storage stability prior to use for image formation. When the dry image forming material comprises a combination of a silver salt oxidizing agent-containing layer comprising the specific 2-(2'-hydroxyphenyl)benzotriazole compound and a reducing agent-containing layer comprising a high impact acrylic resin as a binder material, the material is remarkably improved in storage stability of raw material in the dark or under light with wavelengths of 450 nm or more and the stability of a latent image, and shows minimized variation in image quality with heat development conditions. When the dry image forming material comprises, as the component (a), a silver salt of long chain fatty acid having 16 or more carbon atoms and, as the component (c), a silver halide component including silver iodide or a silver halide-forming component capable of forming a silver halide component including silver iodide, and further comprises (g) an oxidizing agent for free silver, (h) a photoreactive halogeno oxidizing agent and, in the layer containing the components (a), (c), (e) and (f), (i) a specific cyanine spectral sensitizing dye, the material is of the post-activation type and spectrally sensitized without sacrificing the storage stability of raw material.

A novel heat-activatable and heat-developable dry image forming material comprising (a) a silver salt of long chain fatty acid with at least 16 carbon atoms, (b) a reducing agent for silver ions, (c) a silver halide component including silver iodide or a silver halide-forming component including silver iodide-forming compound, (d) an oxidizing agent for free silver, (e) a photoreactive halogeno oxidizing agent, (f) a binder, and (g) a specific spectral sensitizing dye has been found to have improved spectral sensitivity as well as excellent storage stability.

Post-activation type dry image forming material

A novel dispersion imaging material comprising a substrate, a sublayer thereon comprising at least 70% by weight of a member selected from palladium, gold, germanium and combinations thereof and having a thickness of 5 A to 200 A, and a main imaging layer on said sublayer comprising at least 50% by weight of tin, and optionally as the outermost layer a protective layer comprising an organic polymer. The sublayer modifies the layer structure of the tin-based main imaging layer. The imaging material has a high safety in respect of toxicity as well as an excellent gradation and a high sensitivity. The imaging material can form thereon an image by a dry process even in a light room without the conventional development and fixation steps.
