A wireless connection system having at least one host device and at least one client device is disclosed. The client device is brought close to the host device, near field wireless communications are performed and an authentication process of authenticating the client device is performed with connection setting information through the near field wireless communications when wireless communications are performed between the host device and the client device based on a predetermined wireless communication standard. When the client device has been successfully authenticated with the connection setting information in the authentication process, the client device is permitted to perform the wireless communications. When the client device has not been successfully authenticated with the connection setting information in the authentication process, the client device is not permitted to perform the wireless communications.

Wireless connection system and wireless connection method

An antenna module includes a base member made of a resin and a copper-foil material, a first ground layer formed on a first surface of the base member, a second ground layer formed on a second surface of the base member, and an inverted-F metal-plate antenna provided on the first surface, formed by punch-cutting and folding a metal plate and including a rectangular conductive plate, a grounding conductor portion connected to the first ground layer, and a feeding conductor portion connected to a feeding point. The rectangular conductive plate is folded at a folding portion extending in a length direction and is divided in a width direction at the folding portion into a first rectangular conductive plate and a second rectangular conductive plate. The first rectangular conductive plate is parallel to the base member whereas the second rectangular conductive plate is inclined to the base member.

Receiving apparatus

A wireless connection system having at least one host apparatus and at least one client apparatus, wherein: proximity wireless communication is executed when a host apparatus and a client apparatus execute wireless communication with each other on the basis of a predetermined wireless communication standard in which the client apparatus is brought close to the host apparatus; authentication processing is executed for authenticating connection setting information by use of the proximity wireless communication; and if authentication is successful in the authentication processing, execution of the wireless communication is enabled and, if authentication is unsuccessful, execution of the wireless communication is disabled.

A polarization separator for separating orthogonal polarization waves into a horizontal polarization wave component and a vertical polarization wave component is minimized in size. A metal pole in the form of a thin metal bar is disposed in a circular waveguide of a waveguide member into which the orthogonal polarization waves are introduced, and reflects the horizontal polarization wave component so that it is outputted through an output terminal formed in a circumferential wall of the waveguide member. Meanwhile, the vertical polarization wave component propagates in a substantially rectangular waveguide provided rearwardly of the metal pole and is outputted from another output terminal. Since the rectangular waveguide is formed in a cutoff structure for the horizontal polarization wave component, the reflection means can be formed from the metal pole in the form of a thin bar, and consequently, the polarization separator can be minimized.

Polarization separator and waveguide-microstrip line mode transformer

A high frequency signal processing apparatus having signal line patterns formed on the upper surface of a dielectric substrate has a bias line pattern that extends from each of the signal line patterns. The bias line pattern has a first portion formed on the upper surface of the dielectric substrate, a second portion formed on the lower surface of the dielectric substrate, and a conductor extending through the dielectric substrate for providing an electrical connection between the first and second portions of the bias line pattern. A trap pattern is formed on the lower surface of the dielectric substrate and is connected to the second portion of the bias line pattern at a position spaced a predetermined distance away from the corresponding one of the signal line patterns. The predetermined distance is substantially equal to an odd number multiplied by T.multidot..lambda./4 where T and .lambda. are the periodicity and wave-length of the high frequency signal to be processed. A grounded pattern is also formed on the first surface of the dielectric substrate.
