An information presentation system is provided with: a data server for providing a predetermined kind of information data classified into a plurality of preset data groups through a communication line; and a portable communication terminal apparatus connectable through the communication line to the data server. The portable communication terminal apparatus is provided with: a connecting device for connecting the portable communication terminal apparatus to the data server through the communication line; an input device for inputting or specifying a desirable code from among a plurality of data group codes each indicating respective one of the preset data groups; and a terminal side transmitting device for transmitting the inputted or specified code through the communication line to the data server. The data server is provided with: a server side receiving device for receiving the transmitted code; and a server side transmitting device for transmitting the information data as for the data group corresponding to the received code by a predetermined format from the data server to the portable communication terminal apparatus through the communication line. The portable communication terminal apparatus is further provided with: a terminal side receiving device for receiving the transmitted information data; and a displaying device for displaying the received information data.

A signal processing circuit for a GPS receiver wherein the search time for a code phase is decreased to decrease the time required for catching of radio waves of an artificial satellite without increasing the circuit scale very much. The signal processing circuit comprises, in addition to a carrier correlator and a code correlator, a change-over circuit for changing over the connection to the code correlator so that the code correlator operates as a carrier correlator before wave forms of an object artificial satellite are caught but operates as a code correlator after waveforms of the object artificial satellite are caught.

The one-of-heads jamming detector monitors the train of pulses to output a signal indicative of the trouble or jamming of one of the first and second heads when an envelope corresponding to one of the first and second heads is lost.

The controller corrects the bearing data based on the self-contained positioning system with respect to that based on the GPS positioning system if the bearing data of self-contained positioning system differs from that of the GPS positioning system by more than a predetermined value when a vehicle velocity determined on the basis of the position data from any one of the positioning systems exceeds a predetermined value.

A satellite signal tracking system for a GPS receiver, wherein a GPS satellite is recaptured within a very short period of time, after the interruption of reception is cleared as by passing through a tunnel and the like, by widening a band width of the PLL search frequency gradually every after repeating the search for the satellite signal, performing a narrow-band search repeatedly as varying its center frequency along the Doppler shift curve, performing a narrow-band search for a specific period of time which is given by dividing the capture range of the PLL circuit by the Doppler shift rate and a wide-band search with use of an estimated satellite signal receiving frequency which is given by recalculating the Doppler frequency of the GPS satellite at the very moment according to the almanac data of the GPS satellite and is assigned as the center frequency, and, still further, performing the search for GPS satellites repeatedly with the estimated satellite signal receiving frequency in the center for recovering the function to perform the positional reckoning which is the primary function of the GPS receiver.

A method for recapturing a satellite at the highest elevation angle as quickly as possible with a GPS receiver having a plurality of receiving channels when a state of receiving satellite signals recovers to normal after having been interrupted by obstacles like a tunnel, wherein a search range of satellite signal receiving frequency is divided into a plurality of frequency bands and each of which is assigned to the plurality of receiving channels in a one-to-one relationship, a search frequency of each receiving channel is changed in step wise for searching a satellite signal simultaneously in the receiving channels, and further, by providing a time difference for a step wise change-over timing of the search frequency between receiving channels, a time required for recapturing the satellite is greatly reduced by increasing a change to lock up one of the receiving channels with the satellite signal receiving frequency, since there are as many chances as a number of receiving channels within one cycle of the step wise search frequency change-over for one receiving channel.

The audio disc is demodulated and applied to an audio output. The video disc is applied to a video display in digital form. A latch circuit is provided for each lighting element to maintain the lighted state until reset occurs. First and second gate circuits detect a duplicate switching state and control the activation of the lighting elements accordingly.
